At the store around the corner from work they sell all sorts of candy, newspapers etc. I don't know who supplies their candies but they always have limited edition candies for sale, like the Strawberry & Cream Hershey's bar and the latest is the Orange and Cream Kit Kat bar. It's like a Creamsicle covered Kit Kat bar. I hear they also have a mint limited edition also. Nothing like being a candy test subject and that orange Kit Kat bar is something else.

I found this article about KitKats on Wikipedia. There are about seventy (70) different varieties of KitKat including: Original, White Chocolate, Midnight Mint, Strawberry, Blood Orange, Cappuccino, Apple, Yubari Melon, and Green Tea.. to name a few.

A friend of mine who visited Japan and tried the pineapple kitkats said they were FANTASTIC.
I am in the mood, today, to unhinge my jaw like Homer Simpson and just pour the chocolate into my mouth.

So the Orange and Cream is good, Auto? I wonder what they're like... I hope they're in the city. I'd also like to try the blood orange.

Well the place I bought them at on 10th between 57th and 58th is out. If it was possible I'd post a picture of the wrapper for you. I want to try the mint KitKats myself. the candy itself is very orange. Like a KitKat dyed orange instead of brown.

I'm on that very block about twice a month, Autopaint. (Great Saganaki at The Greek Kitchen there, by the way.) I'm assuming you're talking about one of the delis on either end of the east side of that block. Gonna hunt them down next time I'm over there.
Thanks for the heads-up.

I'll have to look for the Japanese flavors next time in Edgewater. I don't even like kit kats but maybe these are good!

MissT,
I know exactly the store you're speaking of. (Haven't been there though)
I must have passed it many times on my way to Avenue, or TJMaxx!
Hmm... Key lime sounds good... and Pineapple. But all in all, I am most interested in Orange.
I'll have to look midtown, and let you know!
Thanks everyone :)

It's in Edgewater, NJ. There's a shuttle bus which runs from the P.A. bus terminal.

I've seen most of these flavors all over the stores where I live in Boston. The raspberry Hershey's are by far the best candy I have ever tasted. The strawberries and cream are great too, with little bits of strawberry crunchy stuff in them. The mint kit kats are incredible too. They are SO worth ordering. :)

There's an excellent Asian food market in Edgewater (if memory serves). Now that the one in Tapan is no longer I guess Edgewater is our best bet. I remember driving south of the bridge looking for the shopping center and pulling into a Gullf station asking where the Asian market was. I got clued in as soon as i looked up at the Gluf sign which was in English and Korean. On another note, the Rockland bakery is outstanding and worth the drive from whereever.

Besides Mitsuwa in Edgewater, there is Maxims on Route 46 in Parsippany and Kam Man Food on Rt 10 in East Hanover. But I've heard that the best of the bunch is Han Ah Reum in Ridgefield.

Is that the Gulf station right off the GWB on Route 9? there's a better market there? Okay, I guess I'll have to go and compare in the name of "research" :eat1:

No, I think you are confusing my post with Randi's. I've only been to Edgwater once and that is the Gulf station I was talking about. I'll have to go back to Tapan. They are supposed to reopen. It was a terrific source for Asian foods.
