New Banner Ads

I just see news that new banner ads for paysites will be accepted for the front page before you enter the chat rooms.

Hey, this sounds like a good idea.

I see the numbers of people that look at the paysites.

This could be a great revenue stream for Conrad ( a thought that pleases me) but the banner ads might be fun to look at.

Hopefully they'll be worksafe as I chose not to click on certain pictures at certain times as there's often people in the room.

Holy crap.. me too. Once at work I stepped away from my computer in a desperate rush to get to the bathroom and returned to find I'd forgotten to minimize the screen and the main message board screen was up on my computer. I was so freaked out about who might have walked by and seen the "Dimensions videos, fat girl videos, etc." banner. I spend my whole work day trying to hide it. The expanded story forum section of the front page is definitely not work friendly either. Having the words "explicit sex" up on your screen is hardly something you want your boss seeing up on your screen at any time (in most workplaces anyway!). :)

I agree that this could be an income-maker for Conrad, one that is long overdue, and I have championed since the old boards existed. I do think, however, that comments on this idea have made some excellent points, and I always said there'd have to be rules about the banners. I hope more people will state their thoughts about this subject.~Bountifully, Fuchsia

I do what I can but, see, the problem is that the few donations do not come anywhere close to paying for the huge Dimensions site, let alone generate any additional revenue. So product sales are about all I can hope for. I know some people hate that, and I try to keep it at a minumum, but I can't do EVERYTHING for free.

Conrad, You're totally right on and completely understood by me! I think you've done much less advertising and income generation than many webmasters would have done. Until I can give a hefty donation I recognize that my lil complaints are like whispers in the wind. Thanks for everything!

Same here I always shift the window so that that part of my screen doesn't show.
