Hi all,

You may remember my posting about a week back, introducing myself to the board. I had said that after being sidelined by my teaching job and school schedule, my weight had crept up from a trim (for me) 250 back to my usual 275. At least, that's what I thought it did, based on how I looked and how my clothes fit. While at practice a few days ago, I twisted my knee and descided to stop by the health center yesterday to see if all was well. Imagine my surprise in the initial weigh-in when I was 292! That's a new high for me, and it came with the fairly standard talk from a doctor about possible problems, yet because my blood pressure and cholesterol was better than the doctor's (granted, I am 20 years younger than him, at least) he spoke mainly of possible problems in the future, which was better than the "lose weight or die now" spiel I'm sure many have heard.

The new weight may be muscle, it could very well be fat, too. I dunno if my clothes have a little bit more give than I thought they did, but for some reason, I'm knocking down the door of 300 and didn't see it coming! I'm not sure if I wanna make the conscious effort to hit that number or not, but wow, it sounds big. The thought of being 300 used to come with notions of Rascal scooters for mobility (conceptually, at least, not a bad thought) but if I can move around as well as I do now, maybe it's not such a big deal. Join the Dimensions board and gain 17 pounds, I'm living proof!

I think I'll go celebrate your new 17 pounds with a breakfast taco or two! :eat1:

Thanks for sharing your very sexy news with us!

Nothing wrong with that.

LOL, I don't think you're ready for a scooter quite yet. I'm sure you'd have to gain at least 18 pounds for that. ;)

I think I'm one of the few that advocates fit and fat. if you're going to increase weight, increase both muscle and fat from eating, and remain healthy. I don't like to see people intentionally feeding and ending up with health concerns...

hey baby robot I am living proof you can be big and still be active. I am very big and I coach football. Yeah it gets hard sometimes, but as long as you don't stop doing things, and don't just sit on the couch you can still get around. Just at a slower pace. LOL

Thanks for all the advice/encouragement/flattery, everyone. I really don't have any one "fitness goal" or "gaining goal" in mind, I've decided. I'm just going to keep on keepin' on, so to speak. Staying active in the few sports I enjoy, but also eating what tastes delicious, and of course overindulging once in a while because yeah, it feels GOOD! I'm pretty sure that I will be gaining weight as a matter of fact (and this post sort of makes me living proof) so maybe I should take stock every 25 pounds or so, make sure I'm still living the life I want to live, and adjusting accordingly if that answer is no. I'll make sure to eat a whole cake once I break 300, though ;)

Also, my life as an erotic story? :) Glad you found it entertaining, FreneticFangs!

P.S. Also, everyone, I don't mean to hijack the board's posting with all my replies, so feel free to PM me, too.

I'm a big man currently #325..I've been as high as #355....gain & loss is all natural...not intentional..if it happens it happens....I'm on my feet at my job anywhere from 7-10 hrs. a day & I keep on the move.I've been big all my life & it hasn't stopped me yet.A lot of folks do a double take when I mention my weight...lol.Eat what I want, when i want,as much as I want....when my time comes to move on at least I'll know I've enjoyed life to the fullest in my mind.
