Hi all,
I need to do some painting and I'm looking for a ladder that will accomodate ~350. I think I am ~300, but I want to be safe.

Some time ago I bought a Total Trolley which I discovered on an infomercial. It's a thing that is like a two wheeler, a dolley mover, a ladder, etc. It's excellent for carrying my laundry to the 'matt but it's terrible as a ladder for anyone over 250 pounds. It claims the ladder function will acommodate up to 250 lbs. but I wouldn't trust it personally after seeing how it is in person.
The only thing I've seen that says it holds up to 500 pounds is this thing called a kick step ladder? Looks like an upside down bucket with wheels underneath. You step on it and it lowers over the wheels and you can climb up on it and do your business. Only problem is it doesn't go very high so if you have to do ceilings or anything it won't work.
I found a plastic step stool thing and I use that around the house. I'm about 375 and it seems to handle my weight well enough. Again, it's no good for ceiling work as it doesn't go that high.
If you find a good ladder that doesn't cost a fortune let me know. I'm looking too.

Werner makes some good ladders with ratings 300,375,400 lbs. and probably higher. I have one of those orange fiberglass & alumminum folding ladder downstairs that's rated at 300 lbs. It'll hold 270-odd lbs. of me and all the Christmas decorations I can carry just fine and can be purchased along with its sturdier siblings at Lowe's or Home Depot. The cheapest 375er I found was about $150 for an eight foot ladder. I dunno if that's good or bad.
