And when one of those happens, Earth experiences the Northern Lights. Its been predicted that the Aurora will be visible as far south as the Northern U.S. TONIGHT.

Unfortunately, Its overcast here (again), but those of you in the great white north, go out and see if you can see the Northern Lights. (And report back)

I've seen the Northern Lights a few times on road trips, but never at home (I'm at roughly the same latitude as Northern California).

I even saw the colour-changing variety once, in Elk Lake, Ontario.

Beautiful.

Edit: Fuzzy, thanks for the (literal!) heads-up. :)

I've never witnessed the Aurora in person. :(

Not seeing much from Minnesota. :(

There's been a mixture of rain and snow. Too much precipitation. Can't see much in the sky. It's so cloudy. Wish I could see it, though. I have never seen The Northern Lights before.

Thanks for the heads up anyway man! ;)

That's on my list of things to see before I die. I hope some of you can enjoy them for us!

Saw quite a lot of that back when I lived near Fairbanks, AK.
It almost makes the insane cold worth it.
Almost.

I saw it once about ten years ago. It was on a ferry crossing Puget sound from Bremerton to Seattle, Washington!
