They just showed a commercial for the new "King Kong" movie on TV. It contained the famous final line, said right after Kong falls from the top of the Empire State Building:
"It wasn't the airplanes - 'twas beauty that killed the beast".
They're wrong. It was gravity.

I thought it was the collision with the sidewalk.
Man, imagine the lawsuits if that happened today...

They are speaking metaphorically. Duh! ;)
The movie looks very good. But I personally would have preferred a stop motion Kong or Rick Baker designed ape suit over CGI.

It was neither - it was Hollywood's way of once again blaming everything that goes bad in the world on a woman.
I mean, jeez, you try to help a guy out by taking him out of the jungle he was living in, spruce him up a little, get him a job, and what's the THANKS she gets for it?? He starts STALKING her, breaks a couple hundred laws, and vandalizes the most famous building in the world to prove his love. He gets killed - rightfully so, for what he did - and it's HER fault!!
Beauty killed the beast, my ass!! He needs to take responsibility for his own actions.

You seduce a guy, take him away from his home, exploit him, manipulate him until he snaps and goes on a rampage, and have the gall tell me it wasn't your fault? I'm impressed.

Seduce my sweet ass!
He made the first move by picking her up --- remember?? :D
Who was the Son of Kong's mom?

Some women are so seductive they don't need to make a conscious effort... It just radiates from them like warmth from a tropical sun, bending anything with a Y-chromosome in the vicinity to their sway. That's a big responsibility to have.
err.. Actually I never saw the movie, read the book, saw the play, heard the radioplay, etc ;)

Saw the original and the 1977 remake years ago and liked them. Heard a bit of a morning news show today and a couple of people thought that this movie has a chance to break the box-office records set by Titanic - wow! I don't watch too many movies but I might see this one...

I am so going to this movie: the original's quite simply my favorite movie of all time, and I still hold bad feelings about the Dino deLaurentis remake. Peter Jackson, I'm pinnin' my hopes on ya!
This movie looks awesome. I've completed the game on 360 which rocked!!!:D They've brought the dinosaurs back!!!!!!:p
