Guys -

We're heading to Arizona next week for my son's wedding. It will be held in a re-vamped 1900's era, western-style hotel, with lots and lots of people we don't know. We suspect that it will be rather informal - not a black tie event. Oh, yeah! My ex will be there too.

I'm encouraging Mrs Ho Ho to dress in ANYTHING other than dull, drab formal stuff. I'd love to see her a bit gypsy-like, a bit in-your-face, devil-may-care, owns-the-world style. For Mrs Ho Ho, that will take a bit of acting, but like actors on any stage, the costume helps establish the mood.

She is looking at tops from the same place that we bought a bunch of stuff tonight - Coldwater Creek. Mostly, she bought skirts - long, textured, rather swirly. As her loving husband, I do my best to make wise comments on color and texture, fit, and panache, if you will - knowing that my head could be removed from my shoulders at any moment.

So, here's some choices. For those of you who don't know her that well, she is statuesque at 5' 10" and about 250 lb.

Note: depending on your e-mail package, you might have to do a bit of cutting and pasteing to make the links work.

Any of those would work quite well, Ho Ho.
I get Cold Water Creek catalogs and like a lot of their stuff.
I'm sure she'll look smashing as long as she wears a smile upon her face.

If it's next week, I doubt you'd be able to receive anything we suggest here, but it's worth a shot. Are you looking for something for the ceremony itself? And is she the mother-of-the-groom, or stepmom of the groom? If so, her outfit could be a little fancier than the average wedding guest.

$195 (http://store.romanticthreads.com/peorbuvistdr.html) http://images.andale.com/f2/109/129/28369566/2007/3/1/bluedress2.jpg About $260, also available in periwinkle blue (http://store.romanticthreads.com/peorbushsldr.html)http://images.andale.com/f2/109/129/28369566/2007/3/1/3301burg9.jpg
I love this one, for $165 (http://www.igigi.com/shop/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&currentpage=1&Product_ID=409&fromcat=1&disptype=5)http://www.igigi.com/shop/images/product/38770LVDM.jpg

If it's for something other than the ceremony:

$118 (http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2927890/0~2376776~2374327~6007059~6007112?mediumthumbnail= Y&origin=category&searchtype=&pbo=6007112&P=1)http://a1216.g.akamai.net/f/1216/955/6h/images2.nordstrom.com/ImageGallery/store/Product/MediumLarge/17/_5367957.jpg $178 (http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2923433/0~2376776~2374327~6007059~6007112?mediumthumbnail= Y&origin=category&searchtype=&pbo=6007112&P=1)http://a1216.g.akamai.net/f/1216/955/6h/images2.nordstrom.com/ImageGallery/store/Product/MediumLarge/3/_5337703.jpg

With your wife's height, she can look stunning in almost anything.

If you can give us some more clues (her dress size will help too) as to what you're looking for, we can come up with more suggestions.

Btw, to post pictures, get the url of the pic and post it in the field after pushing the little "mountain" icon:

Thanks, All - I'm relaying your comments to Mrs Ho Ho (who is still having a problem logging in.) When she gets it sorted out, I'm sure that she will offer her own grateful thanks.

Meanwhile, your reps are in the mail.
