Chat Rules Reminder

Just a reminder of the picture-posting rules:

Violators will now receive no warning. Photos that violate the rules will be removed and picture-posting privileges will be revoked for a period of three days. Subsequent violations will result in permanent loss of picture posting privilege.

No paysite links
No offensive political type images
No images of children (except if briefly posted by a parent/blood relative)
No photos depicting sexual acts (including masturbation or toy play)

For males
No posting a females photo
No photos showing erections even when clothed
No photos showing pubic hair or any genitals

For females
No photos showing pink (nipples, areola/areolae; pubic hair, mons pubis, labia majora and minora, and vulva)

Another reminder of some rules, which seem to have been forgotten at times:


Chatters may contact other chatters via Private Messages. However, requests by a person NOT to be contacted must strictly be observed. Failure to do so may result in being expelled from the Chat System. Public re-posting to the room of private messages is not allowed. If a Private Message is considered inappropriate, forward it to an op instead.

The main "BBW/FA" chat room is designated for general discussion of size-related topics and for socializing of Dimensions site visitors. All users are encouraged to voice their opinion on any socially acceptable topic, provided that such discussion does not cause a disruption or break in the general flow of ongoing chat. We expect chatters to be polite and observe the general rules of social interaction. Rudeness and personal attacks are not tolerated.

Respect for other chatters should be observed at all times! If someone contacts you via PM and that contact is unwelcome, ask them politely and privately to discontinue. Continuation is a direct violation of the Code of Conduct and should be reported immediately to the Ops. Publicly chastising someone for attempting to contact you via PM is disruptive to the flow of conversation and disrespectful to the unwitting party.

Pretending to be a person of the other gender with the intent to deceive is considered unacceptable behavior.

Intensive "grilling" of any chatter is discouraged. All new chatters should be presumed sincere until proven otherwise. If you suspect a chatter is not whom they claim to be or otherwise in violation of any of this Code of Conduct, report them to an Op who will then investigate and take proper action.

Socially unacceptable discriminatory statements and language are not allowed.


In regard to language, we realize that we are all adults, and many adults feel free to use language that is considered “foul” to some. While we will not restrict the use of such language, we do ask that you show some restraint and respect for others, and not exhibit blatant use of said language simply for the purpose of exercising your freedom to do so. Use of such language toward another chatter is forbidden, and could result in loss of chatting privilege.

Regarding the issue of having multiple names, while it is acceptable to have what some call a “lurk name”, we ask that if you choose to have one, that it be used as exactly that – for observing chat only, and not to come back into the room to chat as an anonymous individual. We realize that sometimes people wish to change their name to a new one, but if done, it should be made clearly apparent who you are so that there is no confusion or suspicion of intent to deceive. Frequent changing of screennames could result in being restricted to use of only one name with no more changes allowed if we feel there is intent to deceive.

Please do not offer your email address to another individual to register with. If you know of someone who is having trouble registering due to email issues, please contact an op. Use of another person’s email to register could result in suspension of chatting privileges.

Chat ops cannot be present in the room 24/7; however, we do strive to handle all issues in a timely and fair manner. If an incident occurs when an op is not present, please take screenshots of the incident for verification and forward to dimensionchatops@yahoo.com. Please understand that we cannot act upon emails reporting a general problem or a one-sided issue, so actual evidence of occurrences is necessary. However, if you have a concern or question, please feel free to contact an op to discuss it, either in the room, through the yahoo email address, or on the forums via Private Message. "

There have been a few changes made to what is allowed in the chat room in regard to paysites, and we would like to take this opportunity to put them in print for everyone to view, and to clarify the rules. Please read below and make any changes necessary. These new rules are not meant to penalize anyone, but were developed in an effort to be as consistent as possible to all involved. Any promotion of paysites should be kept to the Paysite Board here on the forums.

These rules remain intact:

- Images must not contain URLs to paysites. Likewise, profiles must not contain links to paysites.
- Advertising or solicitation for endeavors with which a chatter has a personal and financial investment, whether verbally or through images or links, is unacceptable and grounds for immediate and permanent loss of chatting privileges.

These additional new rules are now in place:

- Screennames must have no reference or similarity to paysite identities. However, if you have used one screenname for over one year, you will be allowed to keep it on the contingency that there is at no point any promotion of your site in any way. This does not apply to those who adopted their chat name for use on a newly opened site (within the past year).

- Photos must abide by the same rules as on the paysite board, and must have no reference to a paysite anywhere in the photo.

No photos with shapes edited into the picture covering nipples or genitals

- If you have a myspace page linked to the sidebar, it must not be set to private.

If a new model joins a paysite, are they NOT permitted to use any part of their modeling name in chat?


Answer:

Chat handles should not bear any resemblance to paysite names or modeling names, unless it is the person's actual (real) name.

This applies to old chatters as well as new. If you do not feel that you can maintain this expectation, then do not go into the chat rooms.

Frequently when we see complaints about another chatter, we see violations of this rule coming from both sides. Being offended by or angry at another chatter does not exempt anyone from this rule, and most of the time, responding to the person merely makes the situation worse. This is not to say that the anger or offense is unjustified, but we do ask that you not escalate the problem by responding in kind to the offending party.

Also, too often we see a territorial response from the older members of the room when there is someone in the room who doesn't meet with their approval. This practice needs to stop. Being a member of chat for an extended period of time does not come with the privilege of saying anything you want to other people or deciding who is acceptable for the room. We ask that everyone remember this rule, especially when interacting with others in the rooms. Your presence in the chat rooms implies that you are familiar with all of the rules and are willing to follow them.

Chatters are only banned from chat after they have violated chat rules.

Most who ended up being banned from chat were given numerous chances; because of their own actions they were first kicked from chat. If they continued to violate rules or disrupt chat, they eventually got themselves banned.

There is an appeal process for those who have been banned for chat. In order for their reinstatement to be considered, the banned chatter must either contact the Webmaster or a Chat Op who in turn will make the request known to other Chat Ops and to the Webmaster.

All information is then taken into consideration; and then a decision is made.


Please remember that only Chat Ops and the Webmaster and the banned chatter know all the reasons for the chatter being banned. Other chatters don't always see or know the whole story.

Our job as Chat Ops is to make chat a pleasant experience for those who do abide by the few rules that are in place. Please remember that.


To those who want to appeal being banned, YOU and ONLY YOU must either contact the Webmaster or a Chat Op and request being reinstated to chat.
