Chapter 9 -Leaving Germany Proves Difficult

The next morning around 9:45 am she was awake, dressed and raring to go. Ordering her breakfast to her room she ate it in peace and quiet before she had to get on a plane for ten hours.

Around 11:30 Laura had all her belongings packed and was ready to go. Grabbing her keycard she opened her door and headed out to the teams rooms to see if they where ready to go. As she approached Jack’s door, the door opened and Jack walked out and greeted her.

“Are you ready to go?” asked Laura inquisitively.

“Yes, I just need to pack two more things, and then I am done. Come on in, I’ll just be a minute.”

With that Laura and Jack headed into his room; as soon as they were in they were surprised by three muscle bound assailants. They grabbed Laura and Jack and tied them up on the bed.

Looking up at them she soon noticed that they appeared to be Russian agents; their mannerisms seemed like those of the old KGB.

“Umm Jack, they are Russians – probably left over from the KGB.”

“WHAT!!! What are they doing here?”

“Well let’s find out. Hey you Russinskis, what do you want with us?”

“SILENCE - NOW!!!!” came a shouted and heavily accented reply.

“Hey you can’t hold us against are will! You have no right to hold us here; we demand that you let us go. “

With that one of the Russians moved forward and slapped Laura very hard across the face and then said “Silence thief. “

With that Laura was quieted and split off into another room.

After 10 minutes a guy came on the radio and one of the Russians opened the door to the room. A man dressed in a very expensive suit walked into the room with an 8mm in hand and spoke to Laura:

“We know you killed numerous Russians yesterday in your escape from our country. We know this because we have contacts deep in the Russian government. Our contacts have access to photos from a satellite over the area at the time.

“Mr. Putin’s people watch archeologists?” Laura said

“Putin the pig doesn’t know about you or what is best for anything,” responded the man. “We are old guard Bolshiviks, biding our time. And we have those who sympathize with us.”

“So?”

“We also know. Ms. Aramutso, that you and your team were in a tomb previous to this incident. We expect you to give us the items you recovered and show us what they do. After which, you shall all make a very long fall to the pavement outside which will look like a suicide. So hand over the items and I will make your deaths quick and painless. Otherwise it can be . . .“

Laura knew that the KGB mentality was used to obedience based on fear of what they could and would do and decided to feign compliance.

“Ok, you win. Untie me and I will take you to the items as long as you let my team go. “

“You drive a hard bargain Ms Aramutso, but you have a deal, and maybe before I kill you, I will have some fun with your body. “

With that one of the Russians untied Laura whilst another held a gun to her head to use if she tried anything. Once she was untied Laura got up slowly and headed towards the door closely followed by two of the Russian guards. The third stayed with Jack and the Bolshevik.

Once she was outside the door she stopped and leaned on the opposite wall from the door. The kidnappers didn’t know she was trying to reach Courtney.

As the two Russians followed out and told her to move she did, walking slowly towards her room. Stopping just outside her door she asked one of the Russians to hand over her keycard.

Refusing, the Russian pushed her out of the way and slid the keycard in her door. As soon as he did that Laura extended her sword and broadsided the Russians throat and with a quick spin sliced a gash in the head of the other. Both were unconscious. Dragging the bodies very quickly into her room she then grabbed the keycard for Jack’s room and headed back.

Unlocking the door Laura immediately rushed in and dove at the Russian boss with sword out, stabbing it into his torso then quickly removing it as he collapsed, writhing on the floor. Then she slammed the remaining Russian to the ground. She headed towards Jack, who was still tied up on the bed, and freed him.

Next Laura retracted the sword and left Jack’s room and headed towards the other team members rooms. She found Courtney and Brandi with Rick in the corridor. Brandi’s jewel was in full battle position and Rick, who was supposed to be recuperating. seemed ready to try..

“Where’s Russ,” she asked.

“Right here – is all the action over” he said, dropping his invisibility shield.

“I see you got my message,” Laura grinned. “Now we’re working as a team.”

Looking to Jack, Laura surmised that the Bolshiviks only chose Jack due to their past relationship. They had no idea of the personal bind between them,

“Well, are you all ready to go” asked Laura.

“Yes, we shall meet outside your room in five minutes.”
Laura and Jack tied up the two unconscious Russian goons in Laura’s room as well as the one in Jack’s room. The head Russian was bleeding and not a threat. Jack, his artifact now reenergized, gave him and the goons healing treatments before they left.

As Jack did so she quickly changed into her spandex type tube top and jeans and then removed the bracelet from around her left wrist. With an explosion of flesh she expanded back out to her full 325 pound body.

“Ah, much better and more comfortable,” Laura said to herself as she grabbed her belongings and headed out of her apartment towards the elevator where the rest of the team was waiting.

Arriving at the elevator Laura and the team got in and sat there bags on the floor, as soon as the door shut the maximum weight exceeded light flicked on.

“Right with that,” sighed Laura. She opened the door and stepped out, leaving her baggage, as did Brandi and Courtney. With that the light turned out and the elevator doors closed.”

“Well, what about that?” the three ladies said at once. Looking at each other they then looked down at their bodies.

“Well, we do weigh close to 1000 pounds combined, so I guess it is our fault,” said Laura sheepishly.

All three women looked at each other and then headed for the stairs. Walking down the 16 flights of stairs they reached the bottom to find the guys waiting. Exiting the stairwell into the lobby the three women sat down in a really big sofa and rested for a minute. After doing so they got up grabbed there gear and headed out to the limo awaiting them which was courtesy of the hotel they were staying at. Placing their luggage into the back of the limo they then got in and told the driver to head to the airport.

As the group sped away from the hotel Laura reported their assailant’s condition via an unused auxiliary cell phone, knowing she and her team were leaving town and that they had been using assumed names.

“Four members of a possible Russian terrorist group attacked some American tourists in their hotel rooms,” she reported. “They have been overpowered and let for the authorities to deal with. At least one needs medical attention for a broadsword wound.”

She then tossed the phone in the back of a passing truck.

“I wonder what the police will make of that message?” she said.

“Nothing – how can they admit people like that are in their midst. It would hurt the tourist industry. This is Europe. They will bury the story and no one will complain,” said Jack.

Arriving at the airport 75 minutes later they all got out and headed into the airport and checked their baggage. Walking to their gate, the three women kept in front discussing their curves and how, elevator problems or not, they loved them. The exception was Brandi, who claimed she was going to lose her stomach.

The men walking about 15 feet behind the women could only stare at the three women’s butts as they rolled and jiggled in motion with their walk. After reaching gate 27 the team finally arrived and boarded the plane.
All the seats on the Gulfstream jet were first class, mostly arranged in two rows. At the front there was a bench like configuration and a table in between. The stewardesses handed the women seat belt extenders without asking. Brandi had a little difficulty getting it around her waist and was forced to ask the stewardess to help her. Courtney and Laura went about buckling themselves in with absolutely no difficulty except not being able to see the belt.

After everyone was seated the crew made a final check of the buckles and then with a push the plane moved away from the terminal point and out towards the runway. Once out on the runway they were given expedited takeoff with no waiting, They were pushed into the back of their seats as the engines roared and the plane leapt forward.

As the police tried to make sense of the trussed up assailants, babbling nonsense about pyramids and obese and murderous tomb raiders with mystical powers, their putative victims were on a private CIA plane, climbing to 42,000 feet and headed for America.

Chapter 10 - Laura's Origins

The Memory of Change

As Laura Aramutso and her team flew back from their adventure in Russia she had time to contemplate on her newly expanded physique.

With the engines roaring outside and giving a muffled sense of security Laura sat back in her extra-wide chair, thinking to herself how much she strangely loved her mewly huge boobs/thighs/hips and butt. Ecstatic with the thought of never aging and having this magnificent curvy body she leaned over to Courtney across the aisle and said “isn’t this great, we now have bodies that most men crave.”

Courtney was a little startled. She didn’t mind being a big babe, but in what universe was someone over 200 pounds the standard? And Laura was over 300. But she decided to be nice, because she was happy with her own body and knew of one guy who felt that way about Laura.

“Well, all I’m going to say is that Jack has been eyeing you up ever since you returned back in his life and ever so much more that you are curvy. “

Laura looked at her as if to say “you’re crazy women” But she then quickly turned her head over her shoulder and saw that Jack, seated directly behind her, was indeed leaning over and staring at her rather huge rump.

Looking at him straight in the eyes she said, “Hold on my dear sweet Jack we have another 11 ½ hours on the plane, when we get to America you can familiarize yourself with my body all you want, but until then keep it in your pants.”

With a dumbfounded look on his face he nodded and said “Yes ma’am.”

Turning back over to talk to Courtney she gave a quick look back to Jack who quickly grabbed a blanket and covered his lap really quick. Then he put the headset on, leaned back and closed his eyes.

Letting out a snicker Laura quickly turned to Courtney and said “Looks like we are rekindling things.”

Courtney knew as much and said, “I am really glad for you two; ever since he moved to England and left you in America due to his job he has been miserable.”

“Really,” questioned Laura, “he was miserable?”

“Yeah, he felt so awful that he had left you in New York that he didn’t leave his house for months and when he did it was only to grab his groceries. But then three years ago a man located in India approached him and contracted him to locate an artifact of ancient purpose that is believed to open a portal to an unknown place. He found part of the sword only to find the rest broken and some missing.”

“Hmm, I need to ask him about that.”

“He told me that before he found it he had recorded the whole trip and was able to prove to the contractor that he didn’t break it and someone must have the other part. The Indian man paid him 250,000 pounds which he transferred to a bank account in America l my guess it that it is his old one he used when you and him were a thing. Well, looks like he has half a mill sitting in a bank somewhere plus what he has in his other accounts. “

“Right, enough about me and Jack, and I really have no need to worry about his money. Do you have anyone in America? “

“Umm, yeah, I do, his name is Rick.”

“RICK! The same Rick I know who is with us?”

“Shhh – but yep. We were going to tell you all when we got back to America and got settled. “

“Wow, congratulations.”

“Thank you, that is greatly appreciated. We hoped you wouldn’t object and kick us out of future trips.”

“Not at all – as I keep stressing, keeping the powers we now have depends on us functioning like family. We’re a team now, forever, or we start losing our edge and eventually everything.”

Laura thought of telling Courtney more of what she had learned from the guardians of Osiris, but decided it was premature.

Laura and Courtney instead talked about other things for another two hours straight, mainly about the new men in their lives, until Courtney finally fell asleep. Laura went back to reminiscing.

Remembering the first adventure

Thinking about her new girth and the sword that was now part of her anatomy took Laura back to another time – one that had led to her eventually becoming an American double agent, ostensibly pursuing archeology while also being a master of ancient technologies that must be prevented from falling into the wrong hands.

Laura well remembered how that adventure had begun.

At the time she was perspiring profusely, exclaiming at one point, “I’m sure I’m using my towel more for wiping of sweat than drying off after showers.“

The heat was horrific; not exactly what a life that began in the frigid icebox of New England was accustomed to. She knew in accepting this assignment that she would be out in Africa, but the sweltering oppression of great depths of the desert in Egypt was not something she was expecting so soon.

Of course, she had little to complain about, considering that this dig was to unearth some rumored secret chambers beneath the pyramids of Giza: Any find there would set her up as far as employment for the rest of her life. Of course, she also knew this could all be one giant wild goose chase, but Laura preferred not to dwell on such unpleasentries.

The fact that she was picked for this expedition into the heart of an ancient civilization was practically a miracle in itself, in her mind. She had the background for it, all right, but she wasn't exactly the hardiest-looking girl on the squad. She could best be described as a woman with the body, if not the height, of a 12-year old. She was a scrawny girl, looking as though her hips and legs had barely even started to develop, and she had to use every notch of the belt to keep her brown shorts in place.

The only exception to her girlish build would happen to be her well-developed bust; each mound was able to easily fill any man's hand, with at least a little to spare. Laura's bras even had to be custom-made, considering that they were out of proportion with the rest of her build. Her white, short-sleeved top covered them decently, however, though it offered little help against the blazing Saharan sun.

She stepped back out of her tent, and looked down into the enormous pit that had been dug out of the sand in the past couple of weeks. Thankfully, the level of sand over the site was relatively thin: While rock was comparatively difficult to dig through, stone tended not to shift nearly as much. They had managed to find some common tools on the way down, ensuring that this wasn't a total bust, but this was paltry compared to what the joint United States/Egyptian project was really looking for.

This all seemed a little bit mad to her, going after something based on one source. The distance was far enough away from the largest pyramid so that they wouldn't accidentally dig into its foundation. Laura had some things to deal with before going down into the site itself. Since she was the only archaeologist on site, she'd have to deal with the research representative for the expedition before she could actually do anything.

Robert Mason, thankfully, wasn't a career academic. This made him far easier to deal with than the stuffy, inflexible sort that seemed to be machine made – unique in their ability to reject anything that didn't come from either dead people or themselves. He was of an average height, with his own head of brown hair, as well as mud-brown eyes.

Mason smiled as he laid his orbs on Laura. "Well, good morning. I see that you've managed to find a way to wake up bright and early! That’s good, since, as always, there's work to be done. Keep in mind that with all of the University fossils gone, you're in charge for the day, at the very least."

She new the “fossils” he was referring to were the faculty members.

Laura giggled quietly at that. "So, you're basically telling me that I'm going to be able to get something done around here? That's going to be a first. It'll be nice not to have to worry about having all of my suggestions shot down by people who have never even been to this part of the world. So, is there anything new?"

Robert shook his head. "Well, it's not like much has actually been happening in the past week. There's been way too much arguing over how to proceed rather than any actual progress. The diggers have only really been quarrying rather than going in any one direction. That may be enough, but I doubt it. We're almost at the end of our rope; neither you nor I have the clout to ask for more money."

Laura sighed. She knew that this was coming. "Well, I'll see if I can find anything down in there, but I’m doubting it. Going all the way out here based on some Carthaginian parchment always seemed like a bad idea to me. Whatever we were hoping to find down here had better be worth all of the trouble we're going through."

She stepped out of the meeting tent, and walked over to the site itself. It was a fairly impressive piece of work when viewed up close. Still, considering the relatively mundane things that had been found so far, she didn't have much hopes for anything truly substantial.

She climbed down into the pit on the variety of ropes and ladders that had been set up. It was getting so that they were almost as deep as they were allowed to go in the original charter: Any further and they'd need to draw up a new charter; that would require money that they didn't have, at least not at the moment.

She tapped the toe of one of her brown boots on the ground as she watched the diggers at work. Absent-mindedly she played with her braided hair as she watched the further excavation. She brushed down some of the stone on the walls of the pit. She did this not that she expected to find anything, of course, but that she might as well busy herself with something. But she needed to do something. She wasn't about to take Uncle Sam's money for nothing, after all.

However, what she originally thought was a simple cut in the rock caused by the digging turned out to be much more. As she brushed out the sand, first one hieroglyph appeared, then another, and another. She gasped and became intensely alert. She wasn't going to make any false alarms, but by the time she was done, she had unearthed what she interpreted as an entire message.

The message didn't exactly make much sense to her, though she read it out anyway.

"Hmmm...,” she read. “’Here lies that which must be separate form the king's men, as Osiris wishes no man but himself to use what is contained. One is man, one is woman. Man has been used by Osiris, and it may not be used again. Woman has not been used, and the master of the river wishes that no but the select woman use it.’"

She scratched her head as she tried to figure what legends she had heard. She recalled that Osiris was the first pharaoh. He was worshipped as a god for all of his splendor. That immediately piqued her curiosity, and she found what she thought was a seam next to the message. She called for diggers.

After a couple of hours of work, the rock came down with a crash, revealing an open space. Musty air rolled out of the underground passage. Laura grabbed her flashlight and drafted a couple of the workers present. She was going to see what was buried so deep down here. She could tell already that she was dealing with a monumental masterpiece. She had a generator and extension cords set up, so that they could set up lights in the passage itself. Laura took a deep breath, and stepped through the door.

Unlike many of the tombs she had been in, the walls of this passage were remarkably blank. Most were practically lined with hieroglyphs telling the story of that particular king or noble, but here, there was nothing. She progressed slowly forward into the passage, the slow pace allowing the various lights to be set up as she moved deeper into the underground passage.

She was used to the musty smell of these dark places, but it was less pronounced here. If she had to guess, there wasn't actually a person buried in this place. Her steps echoed quietly against the solid stone floor, and she could feel the path sloped downwards ever so slightly. The only other sounds were that of the cables being unraveled to keep the lighting up.

She almost regretted doing this behind the backs of the senior researchers, but this could very well make her career. The path leveled out again at what she estimated to be a few hundred feet. She had no idea how deep she was now, only that a single chamber stood in front of her.

The chamber was remarkably bare of any luxuries, which was accountable: As she had suspected, there were no people buried here. However, the walls were covered with the usual glyphs and depictions of the life of Osiris: His birth, his life, his dismemberment, and his reconstruction. The curious thing, however, was the pedestal set in the centre, carved from a single block of limestone, on which were two painstakingly carved statuettes.

One was quite familiar to Laura: It easily resembled many of the depictions of Osiris found elsewhere, but the other was quite different, and Laura picked it up to examine it. It was practically another Venus, with exaggerated breasts, hips, thighs and butt, but the belly wasn't swollen with pregnancy: Indeed, it was quite an Amazonian depiction for such a patriarchal society as the one that had flourished on the Nile

She examined the base, and read the finely carved glyphs on the bases. Both read the same thing: "Whoever is worthy of the possession of this shall become a testament to the power of the gods."

She called in for cameras to take pictures of the room itself, and she picked up both statuettes. She had reports to file, after all.

It was practically nightfall by now, and Laura rushed into her tent to escape the biting cold of the desert night. Laura found handwriting to be an utterly onerous task; still, considering the find she made, she was willing to accept a hand cramp or two in order to file a proper report with the excavation commission. It was a shame she forgot her laptop, though. In addition to having been able to type into a word processor she would certainly want to have contacted friends about what was a huge find.

One thing that bothered her, however: While one statue resembled Osiris, the other resembled nothing she had ever seen in any book, or even mentioned. She'd managed to unearth an entirely new question in her zeal, and did not realize it until now. She shrugged, stretched, and put down her pencil, leaning back in her padded chair.

She picked up the woman statue, and closed her eyes. Herodotus's amazons hadn't existed at that time, so what could it be? At this point, she felt a tingling coming from the statue, but she couldn't let go, even if she tried. She stood up in shock.

Laura's hand felt frozen to the statue itself, and though one part of her mind was apprehensive, her own, deep-seated curiosity wanted to know what would happen. However, the result of her handling this statue was soon apparent. As she looked down at the statue in her hands, her view was slowly being obscured by the expanding of her already ample bust, the soft mounds growing into massive, soft globes of feminine expression.

Laura looked on with shock, wondering if those assets would break her in half, but as she reached down to rub what she assumed would be her thin waist she found extra flesh and muscle there as well. To her surprise it was growing from a rather waifish tummy into a thick tree trunk, feeling like it was more than enough to support her and her expanding assets up top.

There was only one thing left to check. It felt like her hips were expanding most of all. Already they were twice the girth of what she had possessed before, and still growing. The archaeologist felt the new her swell under her fingertips, the increasing width of her hips being accompanied by a very substantial filling-out of her normally miniscule rear. The extra mass of her swelling form unbalanced her for a moment, but apparently whatever sorcerer or shaman had designed this had taken everything into consideration: Her new form was no more a burden to her than her previous one.

She was glad that she had picked up a mirror while she was in town: She needed it now more than ever to properly inspect herself. She looked herself over carefully, managing to take a clinical, objective examination of herself. Panic would be allowed to set in afterwards, if there was any need. The first thing she noticed was that her clothes hadn't torn or ripped. For the most part, it would seem that they actually grew to fit her.

Her shirt now displayed an awe-inspiring amount of cleavage, and her shorts now stopped at the top of her thighs, but they didn't feel particularly uncomfortable. Each breast could now overwhelm both of her hands, as each massive, fleshy orb was now one and a half times the size of her head, possibly even twice as big. Her fingers probed the soft mammary glands, and found them to be absolutely natural all the way through. Her once delicate waist was now solid and thick, the muscles underneath the smooth exterior providing her with the strength she needed to stand tall with her massive assets.

She turned to the side, and saw how what she had on top was balanced. Her hips were certainly over three times around what they had been previously, her insignificant butt now transformed into a vast, curvy expression of womanhood. Her thighs were over three times around what they had been before, thick, round, and looking like she could easily crush a watermelon between them.

The rest of her body had not been neglected either, as her petite arms and calves had also grown in size to match the thickness and power of her new form. Her arms had doubled in thickness, both upper and lower, and her calves had more than doubled as well, though still only being a third of the circumference of her thighs. Her ankles were only slightly thicker, but it was enough for her legs. She swore that she had become a bit taller as well. It would only follow.

Laura sighed as she took of her shorts and shirt, allowing her to examine her new form more closely. She grimaced, deciding that she was going to be just a bit more careful with these things more often.

"You know,” she thought, “I wish I could've chosen some point in between my old body and this one. Everyone's gonna freak when I come out tomorrow morning."

She gently hefted one of her massive breasts, marveling at how light it felt compared to expectations.

"Well, that's something to deal with later," she exclaimed with a lack of real concern that astonished even her. It was as if reality had been reordered to make what had occurred perfectly natural. She eased her new form into her sleeping bag which, to her surprise, also expanded to fit around her new form. She slowly closed her eyes, and went to sleep, uninterrupted by either nightmares or dreams.

Dealing with Change

She woke up without incident the next morning, and stretched slowly. As her arm brushed against her breasts when she reached up to rub the sleep out of her eyes, she soon came to realize that it was not a dream.

She stood up, and looked over her desk. Everything was there that she had done the previous day, from the statuettes to the handwritten reports that she had made on them. She pulled on another t-shirt and pair of shorts, identical to the ones she had on before. She barely even noticed that her tent was far more high-end than it had been when she had went to bed, and she opened up the zipper to the outside.

She was greeted with the familiar rays of the early morning Egyptian sun and stood up to her full height. She took a deep breath of the morning air, glad that there wasn't a high wind to blow sand in her face. The sun and heat of Giza didn't feel nearly as bothersome to her as it had when she had started the expedition. She bent down to tie up her boots just a little more tightly than before, and she could practically feel the eyes on her rear as she did so. Laura had expected as much. Even if this was her normal shape, she would probably get that. The best thing to do, of course, would be to talk to Robert. He could probably provide some insight.

Laura ducked into the meeting tent, and found Mason reading over some report. He looked up from the table, and smiled. "Well, good to see you out and about, Miss Aramutso. That was quite a find you made down there, from what the workers tell me. I could hardly believe it myself until I saw the artifact chamber. Looks like you really aren't just a pretty face, among other things."

Laura rolled her eyes. "Yeah, laugh it up, Robert. I know that you won't believe me, but one of those statues was behind all of this."

Robert looked over the top rims of his glasses. "Behind all of what, Laura? Sounds like the sun had been getting to you."

Laura groaned loudly, and rolled her eyes. She hefted her breasts up, jiggling them and letting them drop, in quite an impressive display of rolling flesh. "You know these! How they're so much huger than before. The front isn't the only place either, as that carving is behind the biggest behind I've ever seen, much less had."

Robert laughed a little. "Are you telling me you're still growing? Sounds like there's still some residual magic of the pharaohs if they can make you even bigger. Look, don't worry about it. We'll be heading home, soon, now that we've found what we came for, and you've certainly showed up some well-known academics. Just relax, and a few days from now, you'll be sitting back in a hot tub, sipping whatever wine you happen to like. As always, I'll let you know if your skills are needed."

Laura blinked. "I didn't think that this would make me rich, just well known."

Robert shrugged. "Well, no wealthier than you already are, Laura. Ah, speaking of which, you left some things behind in here before you went down. It's a good thing that any traps there had fallen apart due to age."

Robert walked over, and opened up one of the storage boxes. He put a Desert Eagle .44 on the table, as well as a rather substantial Parathion cavalry sword beside it. She could not only tell it was the genuine article, but remarkably well-maintained and preserved. She picked up both, and it felt as though she had used both of these for at least a couple of years.

But at the same time she knew she never had. And Robert treated her as though she hadn’t changed much from the prior day, yet she knew she had.

"An interesting combination of weapons, but I can't say I doubt their effectiveness in your hands. Not from what I've seen," said Robert. It was obvious that he had a memory of her that she lacked herself. He thought these belonged to her, but she hadn’t a clue.

Laura was now downright confused, but at least she could play the sunstroke angle as much as possible. She made an outward sign of her inner puzzlement. "Wait... You mean I've always been like this?"

Robert smiled. "Well, sounds like the sun has been getting to you, Laura, so I'll lay it out for you. You're Laura Aramutso, the sexiest, richest, most dangerous archaeologist in the profession, and you were only one discovery away from being a celebrity both in the academic world and out. Basically, you're now quite famous. It's almost as if you've had some god on your side your whole life."

If Laura had her old, weaker constitution, she would have been physically floored by this news. However, she simply swallowed and nodded, making a bit of a show of regaining her senses. "Ah, sorry about that, I guess the sun has been getting to me a little. Look, I don't need those things now, so could you pack them up and send my weapons ahead to my home?"

Robert nodded, and put them back in the box. "Well, sure thing. I can imagine how it would look if you tried to take both of these on a plane back home. Anyway, you've still got some more time to get some rest before we have to head back."

Laura had nodded slowly, and wandered out back to camp, soon making it back to her cooled tent.

Laura sat down, and set her laptop in her expanded lap, glad that her computer was now present. She blinked as she saw the wireless network module attached to it, and decided to take a look at her favorite websites, now that she was apparently stinking rich. There was the occasional social club; however, far more common were the archaeological pages she had on her machine before.

She was thankful that she was still practicing her art, rather than simply a social butterfly. She opened up her pictures folder as well, to see just what she had been up to in her rise to the top. While they were still mostly of dig sites, she did see pictures from an occasional party. She wondered where she would find a seamstress to make that dress, which put the massive orbs of her breasts on decent display, while also showing off the near-absurd development of her hips, thighs and rear. From the reactions of others in the photos Laura had been behaving most improperly indeed.

The archaeologist couldn't help but take another look at the statuette that had given her what she now had, and smiled. "A testament to the power of the gods, hmm?"

She set it in a padded case, besides the male version. She closed the box with a bit of a giggle. "Well, this isn't exactly what I expected, but I think it’s certainly something that I can run with."

Not at all displeased with her expanded body Osiris’s new choice lay down and went to sleep.

Endurance

The next morning, Laura decided that it would be best to get totally acquainted with her new form. There were a couple of things that she hadn't noticed yesterday, and were a bit of a surprise to her, considering that she had originally been so unbelievably trim. She squeezed a little at her newly-developed love handles, this being the first time she had ever really had anything even resembling rolls of fat on her body

She could practically feel the new fat grow in, softening her middle to a degree that would normally be considered unacceptable, but on her, it merely reinforced her Amazonian state as she grew plump, with the residual magic taking effect in front of her. The second was another bulge that tapered up towards the massive mounds of her chest, seemingly a by-product of her new mammaries.

She sighed, and decided that it was a small price to pay for what else she had received from the statue. She stretched again in front of her mirror, and then proceeded to squeeze back into her top and shorts. The return back was delayed for another couple of days due to transportation problems, so there was not much she could do but sit on her huge rear.

Or, she could go exploring.

The thought seemed to hit her out of the blue, and she scratched her head. She then proceeded to begin braiding her hair again, though she decided to bind it more tightly than usual. She didn't want it to be loose, for some reason. The idea that there was more to that underground passage than simply a chamber with a couple of statues hadn't really occurred to her until now.

She had heard of secret passages before, so the place, she decided, might very well be worth another look. She closed her eyes as she pulled her top over her massive breasts, and pulled the braid out of the back. She noticed that apparently Robert had moved the box with her weapons into her room, so she opened it up and took both the sword and the gun.

The gun itself wasn't going to be a bother, now that she had the heft to handle the recoil of actually firing one, but she put it down in order to take a couple of practice swings with the Parathion sword. While not a common weapon, it still had two edges, and could cut things, so it worked well enough for her tastes. It was also substantial, so she wouldn't have to worry about the entire blade coming apart with a couple of knocks, like with a katana.

She tied a holster to one thigh and the scabbard to her waist; this would enable her to carry both gun and sword without having her hands full when exploring deeper underground. Why she felt the need for either she didn’t understand, but the urge was there to take them – and so she did.

Picking up the other things that she needed for her little expedition was easy enough, A flashlight were incredibly common, a lighter could be picked up for a couple of American dollars, and there was rope to spare. So equipped, she snuck down into the pit in the early dawn, before any of the workers would have time to remove any of the lights in the underground passage.

All of the ladders and ropes were still in place, and she made her way down with fluid ease, rather than the awkward gait that she used to possess. There was something to be said for her new self in that respect. Soon enough both soles of her brown boots hit the bottom of the expedition pit, and she turned on the generator, putting on the lights inside the passage itself. She took a deep breath, and wandered down into what was very familiar territory.

There wasn't really any change from before in the passage, despite any apprehension that the change in her history changed everything else. The chamber at the end, however, seemed quite a bit clearer to her, even though it had the exact same lighting as before. She was instinctively drawn to a depiction of Ra and Osiris, and ran her hands over the surrounding hieroglyphics, reading by the touch of her fingers over the engraved symbols.

When the revelation of what they were saying hit her, she set to work immediately. She focused all the light that she could on the sun-orb of Ra, including the flashlight she brought with her, soon producing the desired effect in the wall. A seamless door opened up, allowing another rush of musty air to exit from deeper under the great pyramid. Technically, she was in violation of the charter by going so deep. It was also possibly not legal for her to be venturing into the area she was now entering because of the boundary issue.

She dismissed the issue, “I really don’t know where I am,” she rationalized. In truth she didn't really expect to be where she was until now, and truly had no idea where that was. Logic, however, could have told her it was too far. Intrigued beyond measure she turned her flashlight down the new passage, seeing if she could get a read on how far it went. No luck, however, so she stretched, and plunged into the new section of the underground crypt – if indeed that is what it was...

The cool air rushed up over Laura, and she shivered slightly. Wherever she could, she lit the ancient, unused torches, not questioning why they still actually worked. The way down was winding, and even a little steeper than before. Measuring from her new height, Laura could only really guess at how far down she was going, but she wouldn’t be surprised if the passages took up the same measure of space as an inverted pyramid of Giza.

The march down was fairly uneventful, at least for the first hundred feet or so. The blankness of the walls was just a tad too unnerving for Laura's tastes, but she continued to press on. Anything requiring things that the Egyptians may not have actually had in order to enter had to be guarding something important. It was these thoughts that happened to be in Laura's head when she first heard the grinding of stone. She lifted up a foot, and saw that one of the stone tiles had depressed. Having experienced many movies dealing with the exploration of ancient tombs and the like, she had a fair idea of what was about to happen.

She was naturally correct, and while it was surprising to experience how this sort of thing worked in reality, it wasn't surprising enough to bring about Laura's demise. She only had to step forward some to avoid the first spear, but in order to make it down the hallway, she had to run. She knew for a fact that she would be stared at if anyone else were around to watch her move. She could feel practically her whole body in motion as she kept herself from meeting her untimely end from a stabbing that was about well over 4,000 years in the making.

While she knew for a fact that her breasts were managing to bounce, the mountains of flesh rolling and frolicking against each other in some primal display, she also knew that with each stride of her thick, powerful legs, something else was going on. Indeed, with every step she took, each expansive cheek of her butt bounced in its own turn, and it would be a wonderful display of sensuality, were she not moving as fast as she could merely to stay alive. She hardly even thought about making the jump that she did; only that it happened, and she was preserved.

Laura pulled herself back up onto her two feet, and took a breather, looking back at the array of spent spears that had missed their mark.

"Well, that was certainly unexpected." She walked further down the passage, keeping a better eye out for any other such events that might befall her. She wasn't about to get killed on the first day she really got to enjoy her spectacular new form. She reached a small drop, and spiked her rope into the floor, tossing the length over the edge of the drop. She had more than enough to climb further down, and she probably could've jumped down if she had wanted to. Of course, then there wouldn't be any way back up.

Laura practically walked herself down, and then set her two feet on the ground, still lighting torches as she progressed even deeper into the underground passages. She had no idea how long she had been down here, or even when it was going to actually end. She rolled quickly over a suspicious plate, and was glad she did, as a flat stone slab dropped soon behind her. Thankfully, the traps didn't seem to be able to reset while she was on her way in.

After what seemed like an eternity, Laura could feel that she was in a larger room. The air wasn't as oppressive in here, and as she lit each torch, the sheer majesty of the room was revealed bit by bit, light by light. A long pool on each side of the massive room was filled by the trickle of water from underground springs, the fresh, clear liquid even safe for drinking. Laura helped herself to some as she looked around at the room.

In the chamber was everything that Laura had come to expect from reading about the tombs of Pharaohs was here: The jars of organs, the valuable possessions, everything except one vitally important piece: the sarcophagus itself. Try as she might, she couldn't find anything even resembling a casket, merely a statue of Osiris, the god-king of the Egyptian pantheon.

“Of course,” she exclaimed as things clicked completely with her. This was, in essence, a perfectly preserved and untouched temple to the father of all of the Egyptian kings, the same as it was when it was built. It was completely untouched by grave-robbers from the Greeks to the Europeans.

Laura found herself quite conflicted, however, considering what to do. On one hand, this could make her famous beyond her wildest dreams. On the other hand, looting would ensue, and the integrity of this snapshot of the ancient past would collapse as all manner of vultures would pick at it. She sighed softly, and looks around. It would be a shame to leave without taking just one thing, however, and she looked around for something completely unobtrusive that she could pick up.

The smallest thing that she could find was an emerald the size of her fist, and that was no trivial treasure, even by the standards of Laura's present. She used her sword to wedge it out of the socket it was set in, and made a bouncy turn for it: if there were traps on the way in, there was certainly going to be something spectacular on the way out. She was not disappointed.

While it was certainly interesting to her, as a student of history, to know that the ancient Egyptians were capable of building the first forms of fire-throwing traps, it was hardly her concern as to the engineering capabilities of that civilization. She had to operate on a more feral mindset than an academic one, as she leapt over the bursts of flame. The wobbling of her breasts that was caused every time she landed was of surprisingly little concern to her balance.

Exiting was like running an obstacle course. She was able to use her new mass as momentum to roll her way under the door before a massive block of stone sealed the entrance to the temple of Osiris. She knew that there was more to come, and it was a great help that she could feel the stone shift beneath her feet just before a spike or spear thrust out of the floor in an attempt to impale her against the ceiling of the passage itself. She nimbly sidestepped each of these hazards, and hauled herself up her rope as quickly as possible.

The run up the passage was much like the run down, only it seemed to last an eternity, the walls almost bristling with death-dealing objects as she sprinted her way up the corridors. Her lungs felt like they were going to burst as she pushed her new body to its limit, though she was now running at speeds she could hardly have conceived of when she was a scrawny girl. Though it wasn't the most important thing to her at the moment, there was a nagging feeling in the back of her head that if she wasn't so expanded, she would not have made it nearly as far as she had in her run out of the secret passage.

She had the strength to make the jump, as before, and the rest of the run was a blur. She felt the nick of something sharp, but it wasn't nearly enough to stop her. Laura felt like she could run through a stone wall if she had to, but she hoped that she didn't.

The gleam of light at the end of the last passage pulled her forward, and gave her renewed endurance, easily enough to leap through that final doorway. After a run which was, for the most part, beyond the limits of the endurance of any human, she finally collapsed in what she assumed was safe territory. She allowed her body to finally give out and rest.

End game

Laura woke up in a bed in the medical tent, a bandage wrapped around her upper right arm. For all of her activity, and the fact that she felt like she would kill herself if she was forced to push herself any harder than she had, she only felt the slightest bit sore from all of her exertion. She rubbed one of her shoulders out of habit, and looked down at herself. Everything seemed to be in one piece, and almost all of her strength had returned to her.

It was almost like in some video games, where a good rest would heal someone in their entirety. She looked around, and decided to simply lie back, playing with her soft bust to idle the time away. Now that the danger was over, Laura saw no harm in allowing herself a soft giggle from all that she had endured at the hands of ancient engineers. She had stared death in the face, yet escaped with her life, all thanks to the fact that she was now voluptuous and powerful beyond the means of most women on Earth.

She rolled over onto her side underneath the blanket, stroking her hand over the two much larger rolls of her tummy, which to her the exercise had enlarged. Laura shrugged a little at that, but the sound of footsteps brought her to attention, and she sat up in her bed. She smiled as she looked over at Robert. "Well, sorry about all of that."

Robert shook his head. "Well, I don't know if sorry will cut it, but I'd say I'm glad to see that you managed to make it out of that hellhole alive. I couldn't believe what I was hearing down there, myself. It was as if the whole structure was tearing itself apart trying to get at someone, and you can imagine how surprised I was when I found out that it was you, Laura. You really should be more careful, even if it is to get such a huge, cut gem. However, one thing has been nagging at me. Did you happen to find anything else while you were down there, or was one gem, however big, all there was?"

Laura thought about how to answer it. "Robert, could you keep a secret? This is probably the only one I'll ever ask you to keep."

Robert nodded. "Sure thing, Laura. Anything you say to me will not leave this tent, and go anywhere else but from you to me."

Laura related everything she saw in that massive room, from the art, to the gems, to the symbolic burial of the dismembered Osiris. Robert Mason could hardly believe his ears, but something told him to trust both Laura's words and her judgment. Not all tombs were meant to be raided, after all. Laura smiled, and spoke. "Well, that's the whole story, really."

Robert remained silent, and smiled as a quite hefty breakfast was brought in for Laura: A real lumberjack's breakfast of eggs and meat. Laura happily dug in and Robert was quite content to watch her eat. Laura was surprised at her own new capacity for food, as she wouldn't have touched something like this in the least when she was smaller.

She sated herself on this food, and looked over to Robert. "Ah there's a problem. What did you tell the other academics while I was out cold? I'm sure that they must have shown up sometime then. I can't imagine what they must've thought, what with my antics and all."

Robert allowed himself a laugh. "Now, don't you worry about that? What you discovered basically crushed their complaints, as your decisive actions made them look like snails compared to your 'daring' exploits. You won't have to worry about them, believe me. Not even I have to worry about them, and I'm their stooge, remember? All you need to do is get some rest. After all, we'll need your help to pack up tomorrow. Besides, I have a feeling you'll have a lot more adventures after this one."

Laura didn't doubt that for a second. She placed the empty plate and tray aside, and gave a long stretch in her seat, before slowly rubbing her bust once again. She felt her new body had an almost addicting quality to it, as though she belonged in something wrapped in so much fat and muscle.

Robert couldn't help but stare at her, and Laura reveled in that attention, perhaps the first time she had done so since she had undergone her 'transformation' into her new self.

She idly wondered what Kafka would have down with her life story, but that wasn't important. What was important was how she felt about her new self, and what she could do with the new life she had managed to earn from the gods of a long-dead civilization. She smiled at Robert. "So, Robert, what else is out there for us to look at? I think I'd be willing to hire you away, if you'd be willing."

Robert smiled. "Well, Miss, it would appear that the world is yours to choose from. There are a great many places that haven't been explored all around the world, and I think that you may have what it takes to break open these mysteries."

Laura had giggled. "Well, I think we should relax, first. It has been a rough couple of weeks."

There were indeed adventures to come – and they would lead to her relationship with a front group of the CIA and assembling what became her team of compatriots that had been called together for the trip to Russia.

But before that adventure, the now well over two hundred pound Amazon would have some further growth of her own, then a struggle to resume a more normal size. Along the way would come more adventures the understanding of what it meant to be a woman worthy of Osiris – and the realization that, in time, she might well grow again.

Laura glanced once again at the book outlining the bios of her group, starting with the story of Courtney and how they had met.

THE COMING OF COURTNEY

It was a dark stormy night in southern Asia and Laura was doing some recon for the American government. Being a sleek stealthy brunette had its perks in Laura’s eyes, she was able to fit through many traps and obstacles that any ordinary person would have difficulty with.

On this particular mission she was sneaking stealthily around. She was only supposed to be getting information but she was thinking of actually recovering the target she’d successfully located. It could be gone before she could get assistance. To her surprise she bumped into something soft and fell back with a thud.

Recovering quickly and drawing her guns she saw a stunningly beautiful blonde with blue glimmering eyes looking back at her. Could this be another agent after the same collateral?

“Looking for the same thing I am,” she asked coolly.

“Not at all. I’ve been keeping watch on you,” said the blonde, speaking in clear English

“And who do you work for?” Laura replied.

“You know neither of us can ever admit that – just know that we’re on the same side.”

The women now announcing herself as Courtney said to Laura, “I know who you are but I’m not here as back-up. I have been sent by our government to observe, intercept you if needed and stop you from making any big mistakes. You’re great at what you do best but you’ve taken a few scary risks.”

As Laura listened her mind was racing. “How long have you been shadowing me?”

“About two months – and you didn’t notice until I was almost on top of you. I’m a natural blonde but have the tracking and stalking skills of a Cherokee.”

Laura was a little stunned from what she heard coming from the lips of this women, who had no weapons but the build and dress of someone knowledgeable in martial arts. She dropped her weapons to her side and did a double take.

She agreed with Courtney’s assessment of her propensities and said “Well, I admit its risky right now, but I didn't know they had all that man power in there guarding that little old object. And you're right, I was weighing whether or not to take it on. But it seems to me that now there are two of us, we can get the mission completed and have the artifact back in the hands of our government. If we don’t it could be gone in hours.”

Agreeing, the two women stealthily entered the building, immobilizing those posted as guards and distracting others as they rigged traps.

Finally after two hours of work they seized the object and escaped.

"I don't understand the full importance of us retrieving all this stuff," Courtney commented.

"Some artifacts are just relics of superstitious hokum, but lots of them have vestiges of ancient mystical powers. Used in combination they can be devastating. No one fully knows which are which for sure. That's why its essential to keep them out of enemy hands," replied Laura.

Courtney smiled and thought "Yes, and both side also hope to dicipher the secrets and control the powers themselves. This isn't just defense but I know we can't ever admit it."

After that successful venture, Laura and Courtney did several more missions together and gradually became best of friends.

Laura looked up from Courtney’s Bio and recalled, "ahh yes, that was a great night of action."

BRANDI'S BACKGROUND

Laura next turned to the story of Brandi.

Brandi, not her birth name being of Hispanic heritage, was a little trouble maker when she was younger, a child of the streets with far above average intelligence and looks, stealing and always being seductive wherever she went. Being born in South America, crime for her was an orphan’s road to survival and she used it wisely, until one day she got over her head with stealing and got in a mess that was surely going to end her life.

Laura, involved with another task, knew of Brandi and her reputation. She was streetwise but also an occasional sub-agent, pilfering documents and planting information for various clandestine groups. Highly skilled and successful. it was thought she did some assignments as much for the challenge as the money. She would take her fee and disappear - the authorities were baffled by her chameleon like ability to appear and disappear at will.

Her daredevil legends reminded Laura of herself, but she didn’t think they would ever encounter one another. But one afternoon she heard a brown haired beauty quarreling in an alley, a girl with guns pointed at her. Laura, looked down from a hotel room balcony. She knew the gun-pointers weren't just ordinary thugs, but agents of a rival government service. She surmised what was going on. She wasn’t certain it was the legendary Brandi, but whoever it was obviously needed help. Always the good Samaritan Laura decided to make a little detour on her own expedition and save this girl from certain death.

As you can imagine, seeing a sleek brunette dive off a balcony, knocking out five guys holding guns without breaking a sweat was quite remarkable and made quite an impression. Rushing over to Laura, Brandi thanked her with gusto and said “how can I repay you?”

“Well,” Laura started, pausing a second before she continued to speak, “if you are who I believe you to be you can stop all these dangerous escapades and do something just as fun as stealing but with greater rewards. For instance you could be a tomb raider like me and make fortunes of the US government for it too.”

Agreeing to think about it, Brandi and Laura left that part of town and headed back into a more civilized part of the city. Becoming friends quickly after Laura finished her expedition in southern America they soon talked frequently and did some jobs together before Brandi became a formal member of the team and gave up robbery for good.

RICK AND RUSS

Putting Brandi’s profile aside with the rest, Laura picked up Rick’s and Russell’s and started to flick through them. Laura had had met them through Jack on one of their joint expeditions together, Laura didn’t know much about them except that they were well qualified in the area of tomb raiding and stealthy stealing, which in her book were great traits. Between them they knew a number of foreign languages fluently. Robert, by now her CIA liaison, had checked them out and approved their becoming members of the team and that was good enough. In four years of association they’d proved 100% reliable.

Putting both of their Bio’s down, Laura enjoyed her recollection of events and summarized their newly acquired powers in her mind as she and her team returned over the Atlantic from their Russian adventure:

LAURA: heiress to the legacy of Osiris, protected by his Guardians and now owner of the sword integrated with her body, as well as the possessor of the bracelet which enabled her to change size at will and activate the artifacts of her companions.

JACK: her longtime trusted friend and fellow adventurer, now possessor of a broach that could seemingly repair any injury or damage to both living and inanimate objects.

COURTNEY: The martial arts specialist, adverse to weapons but but a daredevil at heart, now endowed with a stouter frame powers of clairvoyance and telepathy

RICK: Multi lingual veteran of the artifact wars with Russell, now wearer of the ring giving him power to activate and expand the shield of invincibility, whose range had yet to be fully tested.

RUSSELL: Multi lingual veteran of the artifact wars with Rick, now in control of the cloak of invisibility, again a power whose range had yet to be fully tested.

BRANDI: Former daredevil cat bugler, her corpulent body now wearer of the irremovable belly jewel giving her the ability to change her body temperature at will, as well use targeted rays to shatter objects at a distance and create plant life, including edible food.

All of them had accepted the Stone of Youth and now were locked almost permanently in a mid-twenties age range with their powers. All this, including their implied putative immortality were dependent upon maintaining a commitment to unity and mutual support. Laura's bracelet was a key, but its powers could be drained by discord.

Laura began to contemplate the implications all this had for her team, but finally succumbed to the droning of the jet pods on the fuselage outside. Her hands folded over her now nearly 300 pound belly and she dozed.

Several hours later the Gulfstream jet touched down at a small private airport in the Carolinas. Her CIA handler Robert was there as were the two Englishman who had originally accompanied him. Robert was astonished at her resurgent growth but kept his feelings in check. He and Laura had reluctantly agreed to simply be friends years before in the interest of national security.

After debriefing Laura retired to the ladies room and donned the bracelet, coming down to 135 pounds. “No use being cramped on a commercial flight if I don’t have to be,” she said,

Laura and her group were taken by limousine to Atlanta, where they were supposed to fly in pairs in separate flights to New York. But due to a threatening hurricane the flight with Rick and Courtney was canceled and they instead joined Jack and Laura. It would prove a fortuitous flight change, as if an unseen hand was guiding events.

Chapter 12: Back in America.

Going aboard the plane from Atlanta to New York Laura paused. She gave the pilot a card. “I’m not being loony. If we get into bad weather I may ask the stewardess for permission to come to the cockpit to help out. I hope you’ll accept.”

The pilot looked at the clearance codes on the card with a puzzled expression ands simply nodded. This petite-appearing but confident woman heading up a party of four had a security clearance giving her authority to overrule air controller directives if she so chose.

With a smooth takeoff Laura looked to Jack and said “less than 3 hours to go till we land in New York.”

Grasping her hand gently he said, "and then I get o take you home and examine this perfect body of yours."

With a slight giggle Laura rubbed her hand over his right thigh and said "Hold on junior!."

After that, they both reclined in there chairs and fell asleep.

About an hour into the flight Laura awoke to find that all the team except Courtney, who was still asleep, were looking out the window at the severe thunderstorm outside.

Nudging her on the arm across the aisle Laura spoke her name several times. With a grunt the corpulent Courtney awoke and said “What did you wake me for?”

“Well, I didn’t think you would want to be asleep when we are in the middle of a severe thunderstorm that is 150 miles across and growing.”

“Agreed,” Courtney said. Focusing her mind according to instructions Laura had given her earlier she said “the Captain is stressing out, things are getting serious.”

At that point the Captain came over the intercom and announced that the storm was getting worse and had been upgraded to a level 3 hurricane. He told everyone to fasten their seat belts and prepare for some rough jolts.

At that a number of people started to shout and scream. Using the full power of her lungs Laura said “shut up, we shall be fine.”

With that she got up and headed towards the front of the plane. She approached the chief steward and, showing her government pass, asked to speak with the Captain. Mystified but alerted by the Captain that this could happen, Laura was escorted into the cockpit. After talking with the Captain for several minutes Laura left the cockpit and headed back to her seat.

As soon as she did the Captain came over the intercom again and said “a passenger on the plane with exceptional meteorological knowledge has informed me, and radar confirms, that if we turn south and head towards Florida on a certain route we can escape the hurricane’s clutch.”

With that the Captain cut off the intercom and the plane suddenly turned left back towards Florida on full throttle. After oner hour of really rough flying the plane finally left the storm, flew into calm skies over the Atlantic and turned back towards JFK airport in New York.

Several hours later the plane finally landed in the early am of the morning, two hours late. Leaving the plane Laura stayed behind, along with Jack, to talk to the grateful Captain and to give him her regards for a swift decision. After doing so, Laura and Jack left the plane and headed towards baggage reclaim.

Meeting Brandi, Rick, Russell and Courtney just next to the conveyer belt they all grabbed their baggage and headed towards the doors of the airport where Laura’s limo was parked with James standing outside. Getting into the limo the team relaxed into the comfy chairs that had been specially placed to accommodate the expanded size of the ladies.

“So what was all that about,” asked Brandi. “Your sword doesn’t point out trails in the atmosphere does it?”

“No,” laughed Laura. “I was tipped off ahead of time.”

“What?”

“You all need to know this sooner or later, so here’s the short version. There was once a race of people on this earth who have since moved on to another dimension of existence. If any of you have read the semi-fictional Celestine Prophecy book you know that’s been verified in Peru.

“Now when they transitioned they left behind a lot of artifacts with various powers that humans first learned to use and eventually abused. Finally their excesses depleted the powers. The artifacts were then hidden and protected by the more enlightened leaders of the day. They were deemed too powerful to be used by any but those approved by their creators. Finding them and getting around the boobytraps is what we all do – right?”

“Right, but no artifact we have controls weather.”

“No, but it is possible to have contact with the founders at their discretion – and since my adventures in Egypt it happens from time to time. I didn’t make myself head of this team. I was selected and approved to use the power of the artifacts by being able to remove a statuette without dying in Egypt. My entire prior life history was actually partially rewritten in the process.”

“So you were warned about the storm?”

“Yes, and given the answer to use if needed. The airline could have decided to take the safer approach and simply cancel the flight. In that event I would have just kept quiet.”

“Whew,” said Brandi. “Its nice to know we’re protected.”

“Not always, Brandi. I can tell you something else. We’re heading home but not to safety. Even now there is trouble being plotted. Be ready – and no one start grandstanding and using their powers until I say so. We don’t want innocent bystanders getting hurt."

"Now, here's something else a lot of people would find quirky. You know my sword and bracelet energizes your powers - and that e need to be unified to use them at maximum efficiency. Here's another twist - adipose tissue that's free of toxins bcomes a potential resrvoirr for the kind of energy our powers require.”

"So being fat enhances our powers?"

"To a degree yes - but the need to be toxin free means that we have to exercise and watch what we ingest."

Brandi frowned, but Courtney seemed relieved. "That explsins a few things - ever since I've become clairvoyant I've been getting this impression that my skinny kung-fu past was behind me."

Laura smiled. "From your appetite I haven't felt you were that concerned."

"I'm not, strangely. Actually I've felt empowered."

Brandi looked at her associates in amaement, contemplating her own bejeweled gut. She wondered. "Am I really stuck with this beachball belly?"

Chapter 13 – Delivering the Booty

After a two hour drive back to Laura’s Mansion the team got out and headed into her house. They dropped their bags just inside the door. Walking upstairs most of the team split various ways and headed to their guest rooms. Laura and Jack on the other hand headed to her bedroom.

The following morning they got up and headed down to the kitchen where James was getting breakfast ready. After breakfast the team went towards the front door where their baggage was still waiting them from the night before. Grabbing their gear and then heading into the living room they unpacked their treasures and gold and displayed them.

After everything was out except the artifacts which each of them were wearing, they all agreed that the gold and other artifacts, except the Stone of Youth, should go to the people. None of the artifacts they were donating had any known special powers.

With that they pushed the gold and treasure into the middle of the table and Laura said “pack it up and to the museum we go. And be sure to have your own artifacts at the ready.”

Arriving at the museum they all headed towards the office of the head man in charge. He was a friend of Laura, Professor Hugo Black. Placing the bag of gold first on the table they opened it up and said “here you are Professor, this will help the museum. We have some artifacts as well.”

“Why, thank you Laura. And I must say you and your friends are looking well, even youthful. If I didn’t know better I’d mistake you for post-grad students.”

“Yes, we also found the most important object sought by man, the legendary Stone of Youth!”

“WHAT. You found it?”

“Yes.”

“Let me see it.”

“I can’t – it could confer immortality on everyone living on earth and would lead to destruction by over-population. But we did use it on ourselves.

“As for the gold, you may use it as you wish for the University. As for the artifacts, their finders are the people standing before you and any money that comes from this is to be handed out among them except me; I have enough.”

“Agreed,” said Professor Black, who still longed to see the legendary stone.

“Also I did find the sword, but I can’t give it to you.”

“Why?”

“Well, because when I picked it up, it absorbed itself into my body and I cannot remove it. Thus there is a huge tattoo of it down running down my body from my boobs to my lower stomach. The sword comes out of me when I think about it, but it is as if it is an extension of my arm.”

“Could I see it? “

“Why, I never thought you would ask Professor,” Laura smiled.

With that Laura extended her arm out and the sword appeared instantly.

Resting her arm onto the Professor’s desk she then said “there you go Professor, examine away.”

After an hour of talking and looking at the sword the Professor finally said “the sword is now definitely a permanent part of your body. And with the stone of youth it means you could be effectively immortal.”

“Unless someone kills me, yes. But that’s not the only thing; it added about 180 pounds of fat to my body. Only the bracelet I am wearing on my left wrist keeps my body from expanding out to its full very plump state.”

“Well, I didn’t expect that. So do you weigh over 300 pounds or much less right now?”

“I believe I weigh 135 pounds right now. But I’ve not verified that by getting on a scale.”

“Wow - that bracelet is very remarkable. “

“Yes it is, and I am never going to take it off unless I decide that I want to in public.”

“I understand perfectly.”

“Right, now that we have examined the sword and given you the treasures and artifacts, we are going to head back to my mansion and take a well deserved break for a couple of days.”

“OK, Laura, have a great rest of the day and I will talk to you soon. “

With that the team left the Professor's office and headed down the stairs towards the main entrance.

“Careful,” said Courtney, “I’m sensing danger and hostility.”

Laura smiled grimly. "Why does that not surprise me? I already advised everyone to be prepared for trouble and bring their artifacts? Now just remember - no impulsive use of powers."

They turned a corner and immediately encountered four armed men with M-16’s guarding the passage. Behind them were another 8 men, also armed to the teeth with a man covered in white who had to be the boss or leader.

Just as she was about to say something to Jack, the twelve armed men opened fire on the roof of the museum and shouted “lie down with your hands behind your head with your cell phones and wallets in front of your heads"

People scrambled to comply, some screaming.

"Now if there are any police in this building, including security, carrying weapons, please throw them over to us and we shall not harm you. “

With a sudden bang and clicking noise several guns were thrown from several locations as the whole crowd started to place their cell phones and wallets in front of the robbers and lie face down.

Watching this, Laura and the team also got their cell phones and wallets out and placed them on the ground in front of them and proceeded to lie face down on the ground. As soon as she did she thought of the bracelet around her wrist and quickly took it off and then placed it on her ankle, covering it with her jeans. She was careful to maintain physical contact so as not to increase to her true girth.

After doing this she kept still and waited for the men to come and grab her phone and purse. She knew there were civilians around and didn’t want to resist – yet.

After ten minutes the armed men had grabbed the phones and wallets from everyone and were now standing back next to the entrance of the museum.

“OK, that’s all very nice. Now, I know that a group of six people brought approximately four million dollars worth of gold to this museum today, and I want that gold. All I ask is that the person in charge of the team go and grab it and deliver it to my feet in the next ten minutes or I start shooting people.“

With that Laura got up slowly and showed herself clearly to the men and said, “I will go and get the gold for you.”

With that she headed back towards the Director of the Museum’s office with three of the armed men behind her. Grabbing the sack of gold she slung it over her right shoulder and headed back towards the entrance of the museum. Once at the entrance of the museum Laura dropped the sack of gold in front of the man in white and then proceeded to lie back down on the floor with her hands behind her head.

“Thank you Ms. Aramutso, for yes, I know who you are. I won’t ask where you found it because I think we both know that; all I will do is thank you for the gold and be off on my way.”

With that the men fired a long lasting rain of bullets into the ceiling again and then said “if anyone follows us out of the museum we shall open fire on you. “

With that the 13 men left the museum, not noticing that one of their captives had disappeared while everyone was watching Laura. The only noise that the people heard was the screeching tires of the getaway vehicles.

With that Laura said, “OK, Courtney, are you tracking Russ?”

“Yes, he’s inside the robber’s green van with the guy in white, two others and the gold. There are three other vehicles with the rest.”

After just five minutes the police showed up. Laura summarized what had happened, then said “I guess we need to thank you for getting here. Can you get Jack and I in a helicopter?”

“Civilians aren’t allowed to get involved in police pursuits . . .”

“Look, we’re not civilians and one of our people is in the van in contact with us,” said Jack. “How do you think we were able to give you so much information?”

“I don’t understand what you people are talking about but …”

“Forget the helicopter – the truck and getaway cars have stopped,” advised Courtney.

“Let’s roll,” said Jack.

“Hey, you can’t just. . .” gasped the cop.

“Follow us if you want to.” said Laura as they rushed out the door.

Within seconds they were barreling down the freeway as the overly self-confident crooks were in a motel room examining their swag. Unknown to them Russ, still invisible, was busily disabling their vehicles.

As the robbers heard the approaching sirens of the police chasing Laura and the rest of the team they panicked, grabbing what they could, bolting for the door and jumping into their cars. The vehicles refused to start.

As the thieves were figuring out Russ’s sabotage Laura’s SUV came barreling down the road and blocked their exit. James, driving a second SUV, was close behind. As Rick erected an immunity shield Laura slipped her bracelet off and expanded to full Amazonian size, sword in hand.

The robbers pulled out their machine guns, only to see them shattered before they could be aimed by a burst of pinpoint disintegration rays from Brandi as she swiveled her hips to focus the jewel in her belly. She had learned by experimentation creating bananas and other snacks that by visualizing a location she could guide the rays and her abdomen would adjust automatically.

“On the ground, NOW” commanded Laura of the crooks. Most complied, two who hesitated being cracked in the neck by the still invisible Russ. The leader in white, however, tried to run, only to be tackled by Jack.

By now the pursuing police were arriving. Laura and the team relaxed, Russ materialized and Brandi hastily rebuttoned the blouse exposing her abundant belly with its prominent jewel.

After the police finished taking everyone’s statements on the theft of the gold, wallets and cell phones she thanked her team. They then jumped back into in the group’s SUVs and headed back to the University. Laura trekked with the gold back to Professor Black’s office.

“Now you fully understand, Professor, why we can’t donate the Stone of Youth - there are criminals in this world and even our team's activities are not private to them. Its location needs to remain secret.”

The professor agreed and thanked the team for its efforts. He was amazed at the agility of the nearly 300 lb Laura, who had stayed full size to carry the gold.

With that, Laura, Jack, Courtney, Rick, Brandi and Russell left the Museum and headed back to Laura’s mansion.

"How did they know so much about us - even apparently the value of the gold and where we got it?" questioned Brandi.

"Obviously there is a mole in British or American intelligence connected to Russian interests," replied Jack. "This was no ordinary heist - they knew exactly who we were and what we had - and they knew enough to make their move in public to inhibit us from using our powers because of the civilians around."

"But they apparently don't have clear understanding on our various abilities or they would have noticed Russ's disappearance," noted Laura.

"Yes, definition of powers wasn't in the report we filed in Carolina - the estimate on the gold's value and where we were taking it was," noted Jack. "That should tell us something."

"Indeed it does," replied Laura. "Indeed it does."

Chapter 14 - Future Planning

Once back in the secure precincts of Laura’s estate the team discussed the events of the morning and prepared for their lunch which James was making for them as they spoke.

After lunch the team headed into Laura’s living room and sat down and discussed what they should do next. Collectively they decided to follow up on reports related to Mexico and the Aztec pyramids. Laura listened but her mind was obviously on something else. Most of the team assumed it was the hidden mole. But they were wrong.

Just before the team was ready to leave the living room Laura and Jack announced that they had something to tell the rest of the team.

“As you might have guessed, myself and Jack have been talking during this trip and we have decided to get married – maybe in Mexico.”

“Whoa, congratulations!” said the team as they got up and hugged and shook each others hands. After the congratulations the team decided to head out for the afternoon into central New York for some shopping and an evening out on the town. After arriving in New York the three women decided to head off and leave the men while they went clothes shopping in the plus size stores.

The men during this time headed towards a jewelry store and looked at diamond rings and necklaces for the ladies. After looking at jewelry for three hours straight the three men finally choose each chose a ring and necklace each for the three women.

After doing so Jack suddenly thought to himself, “why are Rick and Russell buying necklaces and rings?”

As they were walking down the streets to find the ladies Jack asked his two buddies what they had purchased necklaces and rings for.

“Well”, said Russell, “we are going to propose to Brandi and Courtney and if they say yes, we’re going to get married in Mexico as well.”

“Whoa, congratulations! Looks like we are all partying very hard tonight.”

“Yes indeed, well let’s go and find our future wives and go and surprise them with the necklaces only.” said Rick. “Then will come the rings.”

With that Jack, Rick and Russell all grabbed their cell phones and called Laura, Courtney and Brandi.

Around 5 pm the team finally met up with each other and headed towards the nearest 5 star hotel. Arriving at the hotel around 6:30 the team agreed to meet back down in the lobby at 8pm, then they all headed straight up to there rooms.

By 7:55 they were all down in the lobby of the hotel waiting to be seated into the dining area. After waiting just ten minutes the hostess serving them came up and said, “Sorry for the delay we had a problem in the kitchen.”

With that the hostess led them into the dining area and seated them in one of the most exclusive areas in the restaurant.

All the women, a little shocked, said “Why are we being seated here?”

“Because it is a special night and you deserve it,” said Jack. With that they all sat down and ordered a starter. After eating there starter Jack signed for the hostess to come over. Whispering into the hostess’s ear he said “Could you hold the main course for 10 minutes? We have something to do quickly.”

“Of course,” replied the hostess and she left and headed to the kitchen where their meals where just being prepared.

With that Jack said. “It’s time gentleman.”

Jack, Russell and Rick each grabbed from their left coat pocket two little packages. Getting up the three men placed the bigger of the two packages in front of each of the three women and then sat down. With that they said “Please open.”

With gusto Laura, Courtney and Brandi opened their packages at the same time. Stopping once they got to the velvet covered box they all took a deep breath and opened the box. With a gasp from all three women they put the box down and pulled out there diamond necklaces. Each was different in style and ranged from $10,000 to $12,000 dollars in value.

Getting up Jack, Rick and Russell gently took the necklaces from them and put them around the ladies’ necks. After doing so, Rick and Russell both got down on a knee while Laura looked on, perplexed, while Jack just smiled. They pulled their smaller velvet boxes out and opened them up.

With a tear in both women’s eyes they hugged the men and held their left hand out so that Rick and Russell could place the rings on. Jack concurrently did the same with his box to Laur. Once the engagement rings were on their fingers Laura, Courtney and Brandi got up and embraced Jack, Rick and Russell in their arms whilst smothering them with their very large breasts.

Grinning over their breasts the men said “Wait till later!”

With that they all sat down and just as they did their food came out. Each dish was a masterpiece. Jack and Laura had spaghetti bolognaise and shared a salad together. Rick and Courtney had Beef Bourgogne with a Caesar salad and Russell and Brandi had chicken cokovan with a potato salad. Everyone finished there dinner within 45 minutes and was soon sipping on margaritas and whisky.

Around 11pm everyone decided to head back to their rooms where Courtney moved in with Rick and Brandi moved in with Russell. With that each new couple had sweet long passionate sex all night long. In the morning they all got dressed, had breakfast and headed back to Laura’s mansion.

Upon arriving at the mansion around 11:30am (yes, they’d slept in a bit at the hotel) everyone got dressed in baggy clothes (still very snug for Laura, Courtney and Brandi) and headed down to the kitchen area and asked James for some sandwiches.

After having lunch Laura, Courtney and Brandi headed towards the library and grabbed a book or two and then sat down and let the food digest in there very large pot bellies. The guys adjourned to plan their trip to Mexico, After three hours of reading the girls stomachs except Brandi’s shrunk back down to there normal medium sized pot bellies.

Looking over to Brandi, Laura and Courtney couldn’t believe how big Brandi’s stomach was. Walking over to Brandi who was engrossed in her book Laura reached out and gave Brandi’s very large lower roll a big squeeze. Dropping the book and giving a look of protest Brandi got up with difficulty to her surprise and tried to cover her lower roll but without success.

With a huff she said to Laura “can you call that guy and get him to come over and see what it will take to get rid of this huge stomach of mine?”

Laura walked over to the desk next to the door and grabbed the phone. After just 5 minutes on the phone Laura said to Brandi “he can get rid of your stomach inside of 3 days - that is, if you stop eating as of now.“

With a compliant nod Brandi grabbed the largest roll and said “Goodbye fat gut, hello six pack.”

“Umm, six pack? Not really. He can take away maybe 75% of it, but the magic he uses will keep it the same size as mine when I’m at 200 and Courtney’s. Without some heft you wouldn’t be able to use your jewel’s power.”

“Oh, ok, I guess that is ok. So when is he coming? “

“He will be here in an hour - then be ready for a huge workout. By dinner, you’ll have lost a quarter of that stomach. “

“How?”

“As I told you, he uses magic in his exercises, that’s how I lost my 250 pounds last time in a week. “

“OK, great, I look forward to beating this gut. “

With that the three ladies sat down in there chairs and waited for Mike to arrive. He was on time and said “Lets get to work Brandi, but before we do, I must say hello to my dear friends Laura and Courtney.”

With the hello’s taken care of Mike and Brandi left the library and headed towards Laura’s gym at the back of the mansion. Two hours later Brandi and Mike were finished working out. Brandi the first to walk out, now sporting a smaller stomach. With joy she said “look at my smaller stomach, isn’t it great.”

“Wonderful,” said Laura, who really didn’t care.

“Congratulations,” said Courtney, who wasn’t especially impressed either.

Both women knew it was just Mike’s talents at work.

“Right, lets go and eat some dinner, I am starved. Hey, I can eat, can’t I Mike?”

“Yes you can, but eat only a little. “

“Great. Hey Mike, do you want to stay for dinner?” asked Laura.

“Umm, sorry Laura. another time, I have another job to do this evening. “

With that Mike said his goodbyes and the three women headed into the dining room and sat down and waited for James to bring the dinner in.

During dinner Brandi waited for her fiancé to congratulate her diminished belly, but all he did was express concern for her lack of appetite. He knew nothing of what Mike and she had been doing and actually preferred her fatness. That was something Brandi hadn’t figured on.

After eating dinner they all headed towards the family room and watched a movie. After the movie Jack, Rick and Russell informed the girls that they had planned and booked the flights down to Mexico for tomorrow evening.

“What’s the rush?” Brandi asked.

“Until we know who this mole is we are better off moving unexpectedly – it prevents plots against us” Jack explained.

“It also prevents any more sessions with Mike” Russ thought privately.

Liking the idea of eating dinner in Mexico the next night the girls all looked at each other then back at the men and said “Well, we better go and get some sleep.”

Then Brandi realized – she couldn’t go! She had to exercise with Mike for two more days!

“Russ, I think we need to talk.” she said.

After some heart to heart discussion Brandi had a change of view about losing her belly. She called Mike and thanked him for his services, telling him he’d be paid his full fee plus a tip. However it seemed her fiancé preferred fat bellies over six packs and, given her love of Mexican cuisine, she’d changed her mind.

That night Laura kissed Jack and told him a secret. As the chosen successor to the powers of Osiris and due to the threat of the unknown mole she might be getting a visit from the Guardians. He should be prepared and just relax if it occured.

The end (for now).

There is a partially written sequel called
