After I lost weight, for a time I needed to buy my bras from VS because I was an oddball size (36DD) and it seemed nobody had decent bras in that size but them.

Anyway, I do shop there periodically now, but tried to limit it because all the salesgirls seemed to be these wispy, short, skinny, unsmiling snooty things that were SO different from the down to earthiness I was used to at Lane Bryant.

Well! Tonight I went to VS to use a ten dollar certificate I had, and I saw not one but TWO plus size beauties there! And they were FRIENDLY! One was an assistant manager there (!) and the other runs their beauty section (perfumes, etc) And was the second one EVER beautiful!

So it seems to me that they are not against hiring larger women to work there...I do know that I was able to buy clothes there when I was 225 lbs....at that point I was a size 16 and 42DD, and their XL panties fit me well.

Some of the most comfortable bras I own are from VS; but the best bra fit I ever had was from a Nordstrom's associate who fitted me.

I love VS sleepwear and panties/thongs - they fit beautifully - But believe it or not I was on vacation and went to Target (we don't have them in Alaska) and found the cutest set black and gold - hubby really liked it.

But I haven't always found VS in person to be the most helpful. I have some pretty awful memories of being 300 lbs+ and couldn't get the sales girl to ring me out.

Now, no problem, I hope that it was just an individual (that's what I've said to myself at least) that was the problem and not the chain.

You know I actually wrote to them about the horrendous service I received and how it made me feel; never heard back from them...if I could find my perfume/lotion somewhere else I'd probably do it; but frankly, they kick ass on that department.

I frankly hated VS until recently, when I saw they were hiring more realistically sized women. I started getting bras there a couple of yrs ago out of necessity...I was down to a 36DD and it seemed nobody had comfortable bras in that size (they seemed to assume if you're a DD you're a 40 and up, lol). So I had to go between Fredericks of Hollywood and VS.

I'm glad I don't NEED to shop there anymore, besides they are ridicolously priced anyway! But yes, their nightshirts are VERY comfy...but last yr they seemed to stop making them with as comfy a fabric AND they jacked up the price too!

Heh, nothing there fits me, but I like their perfume.

yeah definitely. nothing fits me from VS.

I go to a store in Indiana that's in Michigan City...It's called Fashion Bug...Don't know if any of you go there.

But they have all sorts of cute things for plus sized women. That's where I get my bras, panties, sexy sleeping stuff. A few clothes there also.

I've never been to a Lane Bryant. I don't know if there's any in the proximity of me. :(
