Just came by to break up the party and to exclaim, as I did many times this weekend:

SkinnyMe!!!!!! I miss you! See you in 300 lbs or so!

SOMEONE needs to post those photos. My life is incomplete until those go up.

Re. the Boston assholes? I'm actually picking on the natives of the city. And mall people, as Mini will retell in his blog.

The REAL assholes at the bash were from California, Texas, and the 51st state.

51st State? You mean Canada?

You read that correctly. The logical conclusion should be obvious.

Well, since my wife and I are Canadians, and we were at the bash, I want to make sure that we are the ones that his statement was intended for, before I got offended!

I am fairly confident that it was intended for a very specific tall Canadian.

He might think you mean him (Tom), he is almost 6 and a half feet. I don't understand why this thread has to get all weird with cryptic messages and a negative vibe. Me and AnnMarie work really hard to make a fun atmosphere at our events so that everyone is welcome. I know you don't mean EtobicokeFA but it could have been easily misunderstood.

Anyhoo, I'm really disappointed overall that this thread had to get hijacked as such. We aren't in high school. I am sorry if you had a craptacular time for that I am sorry. If someone didn't treat you as you felt you should have been and it wasn't event related, I don't feel it should be reflected on here. Maybe it would be best to take it up with the person in private.

I didn't see the freakishly tall Canadian swinging his arm around over his head like he was wielding a baby as a weapon.

Heather, we all had a great time. It was supposed to be a joke that TSL meant about her, me, and Mini. Really. We dug everybody we met and it's all good. :)

No problem. Just next time come around to say hi, and share the joy!

Glad you realized we didn't mean you! No, we meant Mini, Ren, and me. Mini's barely Canadian though. In fact, with his demanding jerk attitude, he blended right in with his two American roomies.

Don't worry Heather, we had a grand old time. Well, as must as two people who not that outgoing are going to be, but that just us!

You did a outstandind job, organizing this event. I have meet people that come from great distances to join this party. You should be proud!

We are thinking about coming to another one!

I just hope you got to enjoy the event as well!

I'm not quite sure where to post some random round-up thanks, but here seems like as good a place as any! No pix. Just werds. :p Werds to yer nerds, yo.

Those who last saw my old ass (trying to not) fall asleep in the hotel lobby may not be quite sure, but please note: I had a super muy grande bell beefer fantastico gigante fattie-tastic lil' debbie good time and I was so glad I went. Happy 2008, indeed. The only thing that could have improved it was (this is random; I am a pool bunni) a pool in which to float away the sins of 2007, but it was fabulous. To thank especially:

* EclecticGirl, who picked me up/dropped me off at the airport in her sparkly new car and also made me feel completely unworried at driving through what seemed to me some serious New England snow and also crazy mall traffic...this is an amazing feat.

* Ashley & Soup, who listened to me constantly bleat "I'm so hungry" (how fun for them!) and kept me fed from the Snack Drawr and entertained in the Suite. I like the gleams in those girls' eyes.

* Heather, John & AM for being ever the hard-workin folk they are and putting on a great weekend.

* All the ladies who slogged clothes to the swap and let me nab a few new carefully-chosen needful things--thank you Jen! Gin! Ash!--and special thanks again Jen for bringin a dress for me to try on.

* Sweet FA-types who Fetched Things (drinks, cake, chairs). I could get used to all y'all.

* Tooz for placing a donut on my out-stretched finger one sleepy morning.

* Andrew and Nick for making me giggle during karaoke and siphoning off my (totally unnecessary) karaoke nervousness.

* Everybody who showed up! Cause then I got to meet you :). I was a little overwhelmed by all the beauty around me--in the nicest way. The best hugs and loveliest smiles in the world.

(I lied! Here's a pic to show the effects of the weekend. Before Daiquiri [koo-koo, weird] and After Daiquiri [relaxed, spectacles-free]. :) Hee hee! Thanks to Soupy for the photo.)

Oh wow, I killed the thread dead, all day! If that's so, then I have nothing to lose by adding also (I forgot this) that if you were behind me at the airport in Manchester, my apologies for holding you up while they searched every single bit of my luggage and self. Every. Single. Bit. The culprit was (when is it not) a brassiere; apparently the O rings my bras aren't rated for every x-ray machine.
