Chicago Christmassy/etc. Gatherin?

So there was some talk of maybe having a wee Dims meetup before Christmas this month.....eh? These always get so hard to schedule around the holidays, but little rumblings (I hear) about the nicely-hood of a nice dinner or after-work drinks thing or something. Anybody feeling expansive and meetingy? Hot buttered rummy something or othery?

My boyfriend and I will be up in Chicago next weekend... Dec. 7th. We are going to see my sister's show at Second City Friday night. We most likely won't get up there until 7ish and her show is at 9pm. If you want to do a late night thing I am all for it.

Okay, so far we have not been able to pull off:

* a pre-Christmas gathering
* a post-Christmas gathering

Yay! 0 for 2. :p

So...any interest in trying this again? We could try to pick a date reasonably enough in the future for Mr&Mrs Pants to get a sitter, Ash/Holly/anybody can deal with school scheds...etc.!

There is also a Mardi Gras bash comin up at end of March if we wanted to think ahead for coordinating. It's in some incredibly far-flung burb.
