SSBBW, Magic, Vampirism, ~XWG - An initiate vampire is destined to gain a terrific amount of weight.
[Authors note: I have decided to drift into a darker theme for this story, and after some time to mull over all names, have concocted a story that I hope will entertain... Glass of blood and gin, anyone?]

Vampire rebirth is a strange process, Alex thought as she emerged from the pool, dripping in blood. It wasn't as simple as getting bitten by a fanged man in a long cape and waking up next morning with a hungering for the contents of other people's circulatory systems. First, you had to go through a weird ritual and drink some luminous green liquid, then bath in a pool of blood for a day and a night, and finally you had to drink the blood of someone. The ritual was getting very annoying, but in order for her to become a vampire, and therefore hang around with the goths properly, then she had to do this. She got out, along with the four others, Becky, Ryan and Lucy, and put on the black robes of night, which looked remarkably like dressing gowns with moons and stars hurriedly stitched on.
"Vampirets, may you please proceed through the doors to become fully fledged vampires."
Alex walked through the doors and into the dark room. Inside was something out of a gothic horror movie, strange tinted lights - deep purple, dark green, sinister blue - from candles and a chandelier of black glass. Black, death, and industrial metal played out of huge speakers, currently "Putrified Amputation" by Cannibal Corpse, was playing. Goths kissing, both male and female, each other, even going so far as licking. Black leather was everywhere, so much so that Alex thought that some poor farmer would find a skeletal version of his herd left... until she discovered the chair made out of animal bones.
Much to her surprise, it wasn't just goths attending this "Ceremony of Darkness"; ten metalheads had turned up, and were already challenging each other to rock outs on Guitar Hero 3. Also, the amount of emos there, surprisingly, equaled the number of goths; Alex thought that they would have never dared come round to a Goths only party. Then Darius got up and spoke, and she instantly forgot.
Darius was tall, dark and handsome, to put it simply. His long, jet black hair flowed down to his elbows, his well-cut black suit fitted his black shirt, and black trousers with a big black overcoat matched his almost mafia costume. The only things that weren't black were his white skin and his white tie. He clapped his hands, the music died, much to the disappointment of a number of people.
"Ladies and gentlemen," he said, "we are here to celebrate the entrance into the fold of Vampiridom of four new people. I would like to thank our friends from the Lycanthrobian Covens," the ten metal-heads cheered, "for attending this evening. The four have already drunken from the Chalice of the night, and bathed in blood for a day and a night, and now they must fulfill the final rite, Drinking Blood." The crowd cheered, and Alex felt emboldened; obviously everyone was behind her. Darius smiled a wry smile at the eagerness of the four.
"For those of us who don't know the process, let me go over some background knowledge. Previously, our kind was infamous for drinking blood of humans, for attacking people at night, draining their blood and leaving them to slowly have their cells cannibalize into Ghoul sells, and to have them be our servants." A few cheers from the back, but most of the rest looked bored, wishing Darius would finish.
"Now, of course, with the need to be on the quiet, that has changed. We now can no longer go out and murder some undeserving chav or preppy and drain them dry (a few boo's were heard, probably the same ones who cheered), but now we have emo's, or Homo sapien Arcanus Parasiticus, who give us the blood in exchange for our magic. Only a little blood is needed from an emo to ensure our survival, just like a little magic is needed from us to help the emo survive. Through this mutual bond, we have managed to survive in this modern era!" He threw up his arms in a grandiose gesture of power. "Bring out the emo partners for our new brethern!"
Four emos detached themselves from the gaggle and moved to the four vampirets, standing in front of them. Alex was in front of an emo girl of similar age, whom she recognised as Vivy, or Ivy as she preferred to be called. Two vampires next to the row gave each of them a wine glass. Alex could feel a deep, dark, primal hunger moving restlessly inside her, a hungering for blood. In one swift, almost erotic, movement, the emos cut their wrists with razor sharp nails, letting the intoxicating blood drip into the glasses. Drip, drip, drip.
The hunger took over Alex. Throwing her glass to the side, she jumped onto Ivy, burying her fangs deep into the jugular vein in her Neck. The blood gushed out into her mouth; deep, rich, sweet blood. It was like some kind of full-bodied wine, so rich, so succulent, with only a slight bitter taste from the shock that Ivy had gotten. More gushed out; more, more, more!
Someone finally wrenched her off, it was Josephine, a fat goth girl from the year above.
"Easy, girl, easy, you're off her now."
Alex's head was swimming, so good, so fulfilling. She had never been this happy in all her life; the blood was like some kind of drug, and she absolutely needed more! She tried to struggle, partly contented, her eyes roving around to find the next victim. All she saw were stunned faces.
"What?" she asked.
"You drained her almost completely!" Darius exclaimed, exasperated. His cool, confident air had gone out the window. He now looked like a con-man who had just been rumbled. "Dear heavens above, Alex, have you any idea what this means?"
"I got a bit hungry and I had a bit too much," Alex replied. "Don't worry, it won't happen again. And look!" she pointed to Ivy, who been attended by emos and who was sitting up, wobbling a bit. "Ivy's fine, it can't be that bad!"
"It is that bad!" Darius said. "Have you ever wondered why Josephine is that size?!"
"She eats a lot?" A hazarded guess.
"Vampires don't eat or drink," Darius replied. "She got fat because she had a "bit much," That's what blood does; the first lot you have determines how much you weigh, and after that you can only have more of it. She currently weighs 267 pounds. Do you know how much she drank?"
"The same amount as me?" Another hazarded guess.
"A quarter of what you had!" This shook Alex to the core. Alex, the girl who had been absolutely petrified by friends and family into remaining thin because otherwise she would die; she was now facing a prospect of being four times bigger than the biggest girl in college!
Darius continued. "We had another guy who tried to do the same stunt as you, with half the blood. Within the next full moon, he had died because his body couldn't contain the blood. It took us ages to clean up. It's amazing that you are still alive!" He turned away, his head deep in thought. Alex looked around; the shocked look of peoples faces had now changed to concern. Although a young one, Alex looked as though she could rival Darius in power some day, and now she had to slowly count down her hours before she died in a horrible way.
"Darius, you are forgetting something!" Francis, another vampire, and the group's report from the outside world, piped up. "Remember, the blood mother has recently died! You know what this could mean!"
Darius turned around, his face looking as though it was weighing possibilities. The elder vampires and emos were getting excited; the metalhead werewolves were grinning to each other.
"What?" Alex looked up at Josephine.
"The blood mother is a special vampire who is alleged to be able to carry the vampires over into the next hundred-year generation," Josephine explained breathlessly. "Essentially, they are fertile vampires. Not only that, but their blood is able to transfer this prospect over to others. A new blood mother reborn is heralded by the fact that they drain their first victim dry or to a state of near dryness."
"Which you have done, Alex!" Darius said, eyes gleaming. "The blood will quickly gain upon you before the next full moon; from then on you will assume your position as Blood Mother. You will dine whenever you choose, your emo will be feeding off your abundance of magic, the Vampire Princes will bow before you, you will be transported to a floating castle to travel around the world to usher in a new age of vampirism. Yes, Alex, the start of your life begins now!"

Alex was sitting in a high-backed throne with blood-drop motifs all over it, dressed in a luxurious figure-hugging dress with moon, star, and blood drop patterns in deep rich black velvet, along with black lace. She was sitting in a room with eight walls, each with a tapestry on them in different colours and with a stylized silhouette of a different animal on each, behind chairs with additional animal themes, all around a circular table. Darius was next to her, in a similar suit that he wore at yesterday's ceremony. He was ecstatic, smiling and moving from one foot to another, occasionally checking his watch, muttering the occasional thing about "Meeting the top men," and occasionally throwing her a quick wink, looking at her, saying something to her along the lines of "The hair looks nice," or "The dress suits you."
The dress certainly did suit her. Most of the weight had gone to her breasts, hips and thighs, giving her an almost perfect hourglass figure. The rest had gone onto a small pudgy belly, which made her feel that if she was to gain any more weight, then this will be a good template to go from. Her hair had gained more volume, presenting itself like a black mane over her goth make-up covered face. Despite this, she seemed to radiate a kind of natural beauty, a dark, seductive, beauty. Eye-catching would be the best word to describe it.
"So, when are these vampire princes coming?" she asked.
"Oh, they come at their leisure," Darius said, "They never miss a day, but often the time is a bit late."
"What are they like?"
"Ancient, powerful creatures. The youngest has survived over three hundred years of life, with his moments in battle and out. They control the seven vampire families around the world; some are numerous, others are nearing extinction. You would probably recognize where they come from by how they look; they are very eccentric."
"And why do they want me?"
"For your blood to be able to carry the fertility on to other vampires, it must be made compatible with every type of vampire. Once you have finished your, ahem, transformation, the Princes will approach you again so that you can drink their blood, making it compatible with their family. If they didn't do it, your blood would be one of the most toxic liquids to the families. Today, they are currently undecided whether you are or not the Blood Mother."
"That’s all well and good, but why did you give me this?" Alex held up a Walker P99 pistol.
"Sometimes family rivalries sometimes enter into the affair, and it often ends with blood being spilled. Our role is not only to be judged, but to keep the order." He pulled back his cloak, revealing twin-linked machine guns, the rounds going to a canister on his belt. "Using force if necessary."
Suddenly seven strikes of black smoke hurtled out of the window and smashed down onto the ground, throwing curling black mist into the room. Seven figures arose out of the mist. They sat down into the chairs smoothly, and waited for the first one to speak. Darius coughed.
"Erm, welcome, one and all, to the meeting of princes, I want to say what an honor it is to be face to face with you all. As you know, we are here to decide whether this young vampire, Alexa Tamworth, is indeed the next Blood Mother."
One looked Alex up and down quickly. He was dressed in a traditional Chinese swordsman's dress, in varying shades of red, with the same animal motif on the tabard, a stylized snake. He didn't look a day older than thirty, but his long white hair in a long plaited tail at the back and myriad of battle scars told a different story. At a belt at his side was a long Jian sword in a scabbard.
"That’s Doulon Fang," muttered Darius, "head of the Jiangshi family, located in China."
"I don't think much of her!" Doulon spoke. "Are you sure that you have your facts correct, Darius? You could have just picked up a fat girl, turned her into a vampire and are trying to con us!"
"I disagree," said another vampire. This one looked about the same age as Doulon, but his attire was completely different. He was dressed as a traditional Scotsman, complete with kilt, dirk and badger skin. He had a small beard and long hair, both ashen white. His animal symbol was a stylized boar.
"That’s James McKiren, head of the Boabhan Sith family, located in Scotland," Darius hinted.
"Really, Darius, I would have expected that you would have done some simple tests," said a Japanese girl dressed in black, a gothic Lolita with long white hair and bright, sparkling green eyes. Her umbrella lay at her side and she had a teacup in her hand, fox designs scattered around its rim.
"I'm sorry, Miss Kashino Mizuki, head of the Kagebushido Family, but I didn't have the resources in order to test her blood," Darius replied.
"I could do that quite easily," muttered a large Middle Eastern man in a soothing voice. He was dressed like a desert traveler with a jewel necklace around his neck. A particularly dangerous looking scimitar was at his belt, and around his wrist he was stroking an even more dangerous looking cobra.
"Thank you, Huran al-buruk, head of the Setite family." Darius quickly bowed as Huran pulled out an injection needle and pressed it into Alex's neck. Alex could feel the blood drain out of her. Huran calmly passed it to Mizuki who placed it into a black device, pressed a few buttons, and went back to drinking her tea.
"That test better come back saying that she is!" muttered James. "I am staking everything on her!"
"Oh please," replied Doulon. "What have you got to lose that we haven't?"
"Everything!" shouted James. "In case you have been inside a cave for the past hundred years, my family has slowly been dying out! Humans have found a way to stop our kind from rising at night, by putting Cairns on our beds, preventing us from feeding and causing us to starve! I, and a few others, are only alive because of the fact that I moved out of the traditional beds and now live in a shack in the middle of nowhere! The Boabhan Sith need another Blood Mother in order to survive!"
"Oh shut up, you windbag!" Doulon yelled. "Frankly, who gives a damn about some whining Scotsman. If your family dies, it dies, live with it!"
Both men stood up, hands on sword hilts, glaring at each other.
"Now gentlemen," said a tall, handsome man from the bat motif chair. Getting up, he was dressed in 18th century European clothing with a long black cloak over the top. He was certainly handsomer than the two battle-scared vampire opposite him. "There is no need to resort to sword play so quickly."
Darius cowered, "That’s Boris von Tepes, head of the Nosferatu family, which you and I are a part of. It’s the most widespread family of vampires covering Russia, Europe and a lot of America, in only five-hundred years of existence!"
"Stay out of this, upstart!" Doulon growled.
"Yeah, stay out of this, Pretty-boy!"
"Please, you three, there is no need to come to insults," muttered a Mexican man under a monkey motif, dressed in classic 1920s gangster clothing and with a 19mm pistol in his goat-tattooed hands, smoking a large cigar. "I, Domino Calavara, head of the Chupacabra family, plead you to stop."
The three ignored him.
"What was that, Stone sucker?"
"You heard me, Tepes-spawn!"
"Forget about me, Sheep-shagger?"
"No, I didn't, human toy!"
"Stay out of this, human toy!"
Doulon screamed in rage, three swords were drawn, a terrifying clash was heard, and Alex flinched.
When she looked again she saw the three vampires standing, sabre locked with rapier, rapier locked with jian, jian locked with sabre, with the three owners looking daggers at each other.
"Take it back, Nosferatu, Boabhan sith!"
"I never go back on my word, Jiangshi!"
Alex suddenly noticed something, the other three had gone.
"Put your swords down, gentlemen," came Huran's calm voice, his scimitar pressed against Boris's throat. "How I would like to gut you after what your founder did to us in the crusades."
"Calm down, Huran," muttered Mizuki, her long shikomzue in Doulon's back.
“We don’t need more bloodshed,” Domino intoned, his gun pointing at James' temple. “What did the tests say, Mizuki?”
“They came back positive, Domino, she is the Blood Mother. Cross referencing the blood was tricky, as she is a different blood type, but the power is still there." The six sheathed their weapons.
"When can I arrange business with you, gentlemen and ladies?" Darius said, eager for a chance to meet.
"We will be in touch," muttered Doulon, vaporizing into the black mist.
"The changes will happen rapidly from now on," said James, following Doulon.
"I hope you are prepared for them," Domino continued, vanishing.
"Because they will change your life forever," Huran said, disappearing.
"You cannot alter the course of destiny," Mizuki said, shimmering out of existence.
"Wait!" Alex shouted to Boris, who was about to do the same. "I don't want to do this, so much is relying on me. What if I can't be the Blood Mother!"
"Such a musical voice," muttered Boris. "Don't worry, I'm sure you will know who your true friends are when you are going through this process." And with that he exploded into black streaks of smoke, flowing out the window, leaving the room as though they had never been.

Alex was sitting in her throne, looking around the room. The two desks in the room were taken up by a pair of emos, slowly writing down notes from what Darius was saying. Darius himself was striding up and down the room, talking frantically about "charges" and "pints of blood," even going into "charging visits to see the Blood Mother!" His own emo, John, was one of the two busy typing out letters and advertisements on his computer, when Darius wasn't berating him for looking at myspace. Darius only occasionally looked at the throne, to check whether Alex was still there.
Alex had changed a lot. The template wish seemed to have worked, as now she was now bigger in both bosom and bottom, however, her stomach was catching up. She now found it difficult to reach her hands around to meet over her huge boobs, while her vast ass took up fully half of the park bench throne she was sitting on. Her new dress, a crimson two piece, again elaborately decorated, was feeling a little tight already.
"Has it ever occurred to you," she said, "that I might not want to go through this Blood Mother rubbish?"
"Yeah, it did occur to me," Darius said, absentmindedly. "But my thought was, stuff it, you can't reverse it, so just live with it."
"But what about my thoughts!" Alex shouted. The emos shuddered at the sudden magic surge. "What about me! I'm the one who is going through this process, and I hate it!"
"Alex, please calm down," Darius said. "This process is going to go on, I can't do anything about it."
"You wouldn't even if you could!" Alex retorted. "All you care about is your own money and fame, you power hungry Chav!" The force of her will alone caused one of the emos at the desk to burst in a fountain of blood and bone parts.
"How dare you..." Darius's smile vanished. This was the first time that he had been seen angry, and he brought it down with the fury of a thunderstorm. From his fingers came black snakes of shadow, trying to bite Alex. She flicked them away, sending a long line of shadows, turning into shadow hands, clawed and gnarly claspers, grabbing Darius by the ankles. Darius burst into a cloud of black smoke, spiraled across, coming to rest at Alex's side, sword against her throat. Alex had by this time got her gun out and pulled the trigger. Darius was sent spinning across the floor, clutching his side, blood spilling out. Alex took the moment, turning the shadows in the rafters into thousands upon thousands of spiders, falling down, shadow fangs bared, dripping with a dark poison.
Darius's fingers turned black, spinning round on his tiptoe, creating a round barrier against himself and the spiders, flinging them far and wide. One landed on the other desk emo, who screamed until the poison took effect, a black web pattern creeping across her face and body, and she was covered in the darkness, allowing for her to crumble.
"You think that I am as self centered as that?!" Darius muttered. "Admittedly I wasn't as gentlemanly as I ought to have been, but what makes you think that I'm totally devoted to the golden god?"
"Oh, come on then, tell the whole world why you think that you aren't the worthless piece of chav-bait that you are!" yelled Alex.
"Because I haven't tried to take your blood yet!"
"What does that have to do with it?!"
"The princes has kept your location secret. If vampires found out where you were, they would come now and try and drink your blood for the hope of becoming fertile again! Even though it is toxic, even before the blood can be compatible, to be rid of the curse of infertility is far too tempting for most vampires. I should know; it tempted me quite strongly. The night before yesterday, when you were sleeping, I was tempted to cut your throat and drink from it! Last night, I was even more tempted to drink from your blood when they had finally confirmed that it was you who was to be the next Blood Mother, but I chose not to!"
"Come on, tell me why you chose not to do what so strongly tempted you!"
"Because I was already infertile before I became a vampire!" roared Darius, his face twisted by pain and anger. "You stupid cow, don't you get it! I was deemed infertile before; the curse of the vampire only heightens it! This leaves me with no hope of a child, and sex hardly gives me any pleasure! Do you know what that is like? The prospect that if I ever get married, I've failed as a son and as a husband! The knowledge every night at parties that I'm the one who isn't out cold with pleasure or alcohol! The idea of turning into some withered old man, with no friends, no family! Of course you don't get it, Miss Perfect Life on a Plate!"
"Oh shut Up, get out, And get A life, you pathetic excuse for a vampire!" Alex stormed out, stung badly. She couldn't care less about Darius's distress, he deserved everything he had and was going to get! But his words had stung her badly, all the more reason to hate him. Who did he think he was trying to fool, everyone knew him to be a liar, so lying was what he was doing! She walked all the way into her room and slammed the door, locking it behind her.
It was only there that the realization that he hadn't been lying set in. Darius almost never showed emotion; he was a calm, collected character, incapable of offending. To have that from him, the look of pain, self-loathing more than hatred towards her, was almost too difficult. She made her way to her four poster bed, flopped onto it, and started to cry. All those horrible things she had said. She knew that pride would never allow her to say she was sorry, she had been brought up to know that to be proud of yourself and your actions was all the comfort you need, but now, those lessons sounded hollow.
"Can I come in?" It was Ivy.
Alex sniffled. "Yes," she sobbed. The second door opened, allowing Alex to see the half-ton body of Ivy. The enormous belly came first, followed by her hand, then the breasts, and finally her face as she peeked round the door. Ivy was almost the polar opposite to Alex in terms of body shape. Her entire body was taken up by her titanic belly, followed by her bum, then by her tits.
"I could feel your magic from down the hallway," Ivy said quietly. "It was very powerful, you are certainly becoming a powerhouse."
"Darius and I got into a bit of a fight!" Alex said, sitting on the bed. Ivy sat down next to her, the entire bed creaking, and the mattress lifting up to form a slope next to Ivy. She put her arm around Alex, who nuzzled in closer, to have something to cry against.
"Over? I don't know. I said some really awful things to him, he got really angry, I don't know what's happening now." She looked at Ivy. "Are you alright?"
"Why do you ask?"
"You just seem a little... slow."
"It's the new weight, partly. I'm having difficulty moving. It's also partly due to the fact that I'm so full of blood, my mouths are beginning to leak it." As if on cue, blood started to dribble out the corner of her mouth, trickling down her three chins, onto her large breasts, disappearing into the cleavage. Her fingerless gloves were also getting sodden as well.
"Yeah, I'll show you." She took her gloves off and held up the palms to Alex. A mouth was on each palm. Unlike horror movies, it wasn't filled with a myriad of fangs or a horrible, toothless mush. It was filled with normal teeth, with a slight sharpness to them, slowly masticating an invisible energy, small trickles of blood flowing out of them.
"They feed on your shadow magic. You probably can't see your aura, but an aura of magic is given out by their users. You have one of the strongest auras that my left eye," she lifted up her emo fringe to show a bright violet eye with three pupils in a line, "has ever seen. I've been gorging on it for the past two days, hence my present size. I was told by one emo that the Blood Mother's emos need to be twice as big as their vampire, often three or four times."
"But aren't you scared about that?" Alex said.
"Scared, no. The thought doesn't bother me in the slightest. I personally think it's quite exciting. Apparently, this process is meant to be quite enjoyable. How, I don't know, but that's what many other people said who knew the previous Blood Mothers. While you were talking to the princes, I got some information with their emos; they generally don't have their master's rivalries, and are quite willing to tell me how much the previous blood and emo-mothers were feeling. Some saw the whole process, from start to finish."
Alex hugged her newfound friend. Her hands didn't quite reach all the way round, and her boobs kind of smothered her a bit, but she didn't care. She had found someone who had given her some comfort during her time of direst troubles. She felt that she finally understood what Boris had meant by a true friend.

Location: Floating Castle, hovering above the only neutral vampirotic ground, Rome.
Time: 23:45 17/8/06

Alex was in the throne room. It was silent, still, empty, with only the squeaking of bats to break the pause. Decorations had been scattered over the room, blood-red banners and black drapes hung everywhere. Purple and blue lights littered the room from demonic heads, just to remind everyone vampires were Goths. The five princes' standards had been brought down, along with a new one, which surprised her. The new one was of an owl in the middle. She made herself a little more comfortable on her throne.
Alex was now the biggest she had ever imagined. Clad in blacks, purples, blues and reds, she now resembled a huge fertility goddess. Her vast hips and thighs, now completely taking up the park bench throne, were barely contained by the cloth. Her belly was now at her knees when she stood up, which was rare, but maybe, she contemplated, her final transformation may change that. The crowning jewel was most definitely her breasts. Unable to find a stretch of fabric long enough, her clothing had golden plates to cover the nipples of the far-reaching bosoms. Alex's arms couldn't reach each other, only clasp underneath, and even that was tricky.
Next to her sat Ivy, who now weighed in at just over a ton, and she looked it. It was almost impossible for her to move around, and she had to be carried by four emos from one place to another on a palanquin. Her body had long ago outgrown her legs, which were sitting uselessly at her side. Her arms were still movable, and Alex could see her hand-mouths chewing even under the black fingerless gloves. Ivy was, by all accounts, immobile, and it would take great power to change that. Despite this, Ivy was enjoying herself.
"So, what time are the princes coming?" she asked.
"They come at their leisure," Alex replied. She looked around; apparently she was supposed to drink all of the princes' blood samples before midnight, otherwise they would be unable to use her blood. She checked the large clock in the corner; the seconds were counting down, and fast. She looked at the full moon, so big and round, like she felt now.
Six figures materialized out of the shadows, Mizuki, James, Boris, Huran and Domino, followed by a tiny old Chinese man dressed in Buddhist robes, Doulon’s Jian sword across a sash at the back.
"Who is this?" Alex asked Mizuki.
"I am Wan Shi Tong, the former and present leader of the Jiangshi Family," the man said. "I knew that my student Doulon wouldn't be popular for refusing to give up his blood, so I challenged him for leadership. He fought me, but hadn't mastered the way of the vampire like I had. He lost, so I am hear to present my blood as a token of my family's pledge to you, my queen."
Saying that, his emo came up with a large, rounded Chinese bottle. Alex took it and drank it. It was blood. Greedily, Alex drained the entire bottle. Already she began to feel the power coursing through her. Mizuki, Huran, James and Domino each gave her bottles of blood; each one she drank, and each time the power surged within her. Finally Boris's bottle remained. She picked it up, uncorked it and raised it to drink.
A shadow flew out of nowhere, catching the bottle, and whisking it away. A figure leaped down from the window, a sabre out, it was Darius.
"What in the moon's name did you do!" shouted Huran. "If she doesn't drink it, then the Nosferatu will be extinct!"
"Do you still want her to drink it even if it has been poisoned with holy water?" Darius replied.
"Why the hell would you do that!" James rounded on Boris. "She is my family's only hope of survival!"
"And lose the Nosferatu dominance?" Boris laughed. "Which is more attractive, to revive a worthless family, or to carry on growing and expanding until we dominate the world? The only threat was the Blood Mother reincarnation, which I could break before she fully transforms by killing her. I choose the latter!"
"As though we are going to let you do it!" Wan shi tong shouted, before a slip of paper was slapped onto his forehead. "Oh no, mind control tabs!"
"You stoop to lowly human tricks?" barked Domino as another slip was slapped onto his head.
“Yes!” Boris replied, placing the third piece on James head. “Dishonorable, but it works. Now go and kill the other three vampires in my way!”
Within seconds the sound of swords striking were coming from everywhere, the three controlled vampires flitting and clashing swords with the other three, before jumping around the room at lightning speed. Boris moved up to the throne where Alex was placed like some kind of sacrifice. Bringing his arm round her neck, his sword edge at her throat, he looked on at the chaos he had created.
"Only a few minutes before the time has passed before you become Blood Mother. After that you will die, and the cycle is broken," he smiled, turning to look into Alex's eyes. "You should be proud, you shall be remembered as the last of the Blood Mothers, and the one whose death ushered in a new Nosferatu age."
"Alex, listen to me!" Darius yelled above the sound of swords. "You must get some of Boris's blood before it's too late!" Throwing Domino off him, he ran to Alex, throwing himself at her, ready to wrestle control of her off of Boris.
"Alex, I'm sorry for what I did, I'm going to make it up to you by being with you throughout your life! Please forgive me!" he yelled in mid air.
"I do!" Alex shouted back. Darius smiled. Turning towards Boris, fangs bared, sword raised, ready to cut him enough to get the much needed blood to Alex, and save the vampirotic world!
Boris calmly passed his sabre to the other hand and ran Darius through.
Blood slowly trickled down the sabre. Darius looking at Alex, as though to say, I tried, smiling for one last time, then Domino's blade came down, into Darius's back. Darius closed his eyes, muttering something about thanking the night, before landing on the floor. Domino's paper charm disappeared.
"Now to murder you, traitorous bastard!" he shouted. Another figure burst out of nowhere, grabbing him, holding him in a vice-like grip. Doulon's battle-scarred features, partly obscured by the slip of paper, looked down ruthlessly at him.
"It always pays to have a back up plan," muttered Boris, his hand still around Alex's neck, then he threw back his head and laughed.
Alex realized something. This was her chance. Opening her jaws, she bit down hard into Boris's arms, her fangs driving through leather, cloth and flesh, piercing the vein. Boris yelped in pain, forcing his way back, arm still in tatters. He only had a second to look at Alex's smile before it all suddenly changed.
Eight bumps appeared on her back, breaking through the fabric, followed by eight long spider legs, each ending in a hand with long, sharp, fingernails. Out of her tailbone burst a blood red black widow abdomen, a black blood drop on its back. One of the hands grabbed Boris as the rest of her scrabbled up the side of the wall, onto the ceiling, looking down at the faces below her. The remaining vampire princes looked up at her with a fond look, Ivy whooped, and the remaining emos looked on in a mixture of awe and amazement. From her abdomen secreted a spider thread-like liquid; two other hands began to thread it out, wrapping it around the struggling Boris, covering him until only his head was visible, screaming for her to stop. Alex looked at him, a dark beauty coming over her, a beauty that made even Boris gasp. That gasp ended his life, as she bit down on his neck, sucking him dry and throwing his carcass down onto the ground to splinter.
"Welcome back, Blood Mother Alexa," Mizuki said.
"It's good to be back," Alex replied, kicking the back of the throne out and placing herself on it, some of the legs behind her already beginning to weave a web.
"How do you feel?" Domino asked.
"It's incredible!" Alex replied. "It's like all of my senses are alive, like I can do anything!"
"It is a shame that Darius had to die," Wan shi said. "I know he was one of the best candidates to take over from Boris; leadership for a family is a hard contest to fight." He looked out of the window. "I am old, I know many things, but even I cannot predict the future. Maybe this is our swan song, maybe not. Maybe you, Alexa, are our savior, or maybe it was meant for another. All I Know is that dark times are ahead for the Vampires of the shadows."
"As though it going to stop us, Wan shi!" James said. "The Bobhaon Sith have faced giants of old, and I know that the Kagebushido have faced the same. We have had to face extermination from humans, fires, and plagues as much as the rest. We are as eternal as the shadows where we draw our power."
"We will survive, I will see to that!" Alex said. "I have no intention in letting our kind die out." She finished by hoisting Ivy up into the centre of the web and placing herself upon her belly, making herself comfortable. The vampire princes bowed and left. Alex looked out at the window. Things were certainly going to change, now that she had finally become the Blood Mother.
"Do you want anything to drink, Alex?" Ivy said. Alex nodded, her hand snaking out cutting a section of Ivy's belly, and placed the fold at Alex's mouth, and drank long and hard, the first time that she had tasted Ivy's blood since the night of her blooding. She stopped, the wound closing itself, allowing Ivy to breathe a sigh of relief. Alex looked down at Darius's corpse.
Boris had been right, she had found her friends through this process.
