Ugh....that's horrible. I can't imagine how that man must have felt sitting there...not able to get to the door. I will keep his family in my thoughts and prayers!

Such a sad way to go. I send my prayers to his family, to himself, and his friends.

Such a tragedy. I feel awful for the families and neighbors. God Bless...and best wishes to everybody. I hope everyone who took part on trying to save that man's life can heal and recover and gradually over time feel better emotionally, physically, and spiritually. It'll take time but I hope that the family heals over time. :(
Thanks for sharing the story.

That deeply saddens me. I get very nervous when I hear of such a tragedy.
The beginning of this year I witnessed my neighboor being taken out of his bedroom window by firefighters and paramedics when he died. He was a very big tall man of 600lbs+. That day also made me nervous...because
My girlfriend is big as well and can't ampulate very well. If there was ever an emergency I just don't know what I would do. I think about it from time to time but the only thing I can do is call 911 and pray that they get here as fast as possible.
I also think about all her friends and how they would feel and if they would be mad at me even if I did everything that I could. She has many friends that love her dearly and I know they really only like me because I am in a relationship with her. I hope you understand what I mean by that.
Like now Hurricane Wilma is heading our way...what do I do? We live on the 2nd floor of a condominium. It takes her at least 20mins. to get out of the house and down the stairs. Do I stay and just board up or do I go find shelter somewhere else?
Just makes me think...
