This thread is for short comments from attendees while the action is still happening!

I'll start.

The official night-time pool party was AWESOME. We danced and drank frosty drinks in the pool. It was fantastic.

Best night of my life. The steel drum dude was amazing and - news flash - when you're dancing in the pool, gravity is not your enemy! I danced more and for a longer period than I have since I was 20.

Also, thanks to everybody - and I mean *everybody* cause we had to get more chairs - who came...er....participated in the Fat Sex workshop. It was great to have such a frank discussion.

Now, to get ready for more!

This has been amazing. Last nights pool party was amazing. Steel drum band, beautiful men and women, friendship, frozen drinks, and dancing. The workshops have been great, and I've met so many awesome people!

I'm seriously having so much fun, and not something I can usually say as a staff member. I just want to thank all of you who are quietly offering comments/feedback while we're hanging out... I'm so glad you're having a good time and I'm so thankful you're all here.

I don't want to get all kumbaya but... well, it's a very good thing.

And the pool party was THE. BEST. EVER. 3.5 hours of consistent dancing, fruity drinks and hysterical laughter. A happy place I never knew existed.

If you do a Google search for "river of butter"... you might be fat.

Feel free to ask AM for clarification on this one.

Pool party was the bomb! Learning a lot at the workshops...especially that first one. :D Feet/knees hurt from dancing at the party tonight. Extremely happy that I came (cousin says ditto) and looking forward to next year.

Currently waiting on some eats. Thank goodness for late night pizza parlors.

Definitely can't say enough times how amazing the pool party was. I honestly do not think that I'll ever truly enjoy swimming again unless there's a steel drum band and frozen drinks with little umbrellas.

Heaven on earth, my friends...:wubu:

The workshops were awesome, the steel drummer was fantastic, but singing "On a Boat" featuring Eclectic_Girl as T-Pain was still the highlight.

All bashes are nourishment for fat folks and FAs but I gotta say - the vibe at this one puts it in a class by itself.

I am SO glad to be here and I'm having a terrific time!

We had a completely excellent and open workshop discussion on feedism today. Seriously, this bash, its organizers, and its attendees continue to amaze me. This event is proof that Dimensions is still an honest, compassionate, and tolerant community. I am so happy I came.

The Sunday Soiree last night was SO GOOD. Steve and Mango played for a huge group of us and we all sang. It was our best sing-a-long yet, hands down.

I have video, but it only represents about 1/10th of the set list we went through. We named the band Take Out The Staples as a tribute to Jay's page-turning problem, and the concert will forever be known as Lift Aid 2009 because we raised money to purchase a lift sheet that will help us assist people who have fallen at future events.

I now present to you a small sampling of the awesomeness that was:

I'm sorry I missed this and the WOW get together as I've really been wanting to learn how to play.

Did Disneyworld yesterday and my feet are ready to fall off, but I'm here til tomorrow night if anyone wants to hang out! :) I'm in room 534

I really want to say though that this is the best bash that I've attended, hands down. The workshops were well attended and everyone participated, the pool was great, and even the hotel staff were awesome! I will definitely attend next year, no matter where its held, Orlando, Fl or Nome, Alaska. I'll be there!

I am home back in Hoosierland with the post bash congestion and cough. I had soooo much fun.

The one quote that will forever stick in my mind this weekend was Sunday afternoon at the pool when Ashley, Mango & Soupy decided to all sit on the green raft. It was a hilarious site to see and Soupy kept saying:

"Jay stop laughing you are making my butt feel funny"

Ahh this screams signature line to me.

The Dimensions Bash was awesome!! Thank you to everyone who helped organize the event. The hotel was fabulous and definitely fat friendly! The pool party with live dj and drums was fantastic! I really enjoyed doing the workshops and got to meet some wonderful new people. It was great seeing old friends, too. Just a few Funniest Bash Moments:

Eclectic_Girl at the Fat Sex workshop: "So, why don't we start with all your burning questions?"

Woman who shall remain nameless to man who shall remain nameless: "So, have you ever had a woman with no teeth give you a blowjob?" Me, eavesdropping, to woman: "Why, are you going to take your teeth out?"

Different nameless woman: "I have my own name tattooed on my ass." D A Bunny: "What? Why?" Woman: "So that when a guy's __ing me he doesn't call me by the wrong name!" (This resulted in a ton of "Hey, can you read?" jokes all weekend long.)

Just a few favorite things:

I don't think I've ever done that much lapsitting in my life. lol
My very own Fish drawing.
That amazing movie.
Dancing the night away Friday night.
Uno diehards til 6 a.m. baby!
Learning Walmart string bikini tops really DO stay on!
Getting to know new friends.
The Sunday Soiree.
Meeting the Chief!
Saturday night dinner...YUM.
Floating in the pool.

More to come as I think of them.

Which means - Y'all need to show up next year when we have the "Get the girl to show you the tattoo on her ass contest" and you will then find out her name.

Here is a clue: turn right at the blind Teddy Ruxpin!

I wish it didn't have to end-

The Bash was fantastic, or should I say 'wicked' fantastic for those who noticed I was from the East coast...

It was great to finally meet so many people who before were just names on the boards.

I hemmed and hawwed about being on a workshop panel and I ended up on 3... the workshops were excellent

Meeting and being interviewed by Ashley- a real sweetheart

Eating at "Hurricane" Harry's with Lilly, Raven, Rowan, Valentine, and Toni was a real treat. All very beautiful women! :smitten: The food was extremely good and there are plenty of pictures of our meals to be found on the food board.

The dance and events- Toni's a great dancer :) lots of fun

Love the lapsitting squashing- I am one lucky FA - thank you girls- pure heaven :wubu:

Getting to meet Conrad was a true highlight. His speech was excellent. A very nice guy.

And of course being with Heather, John, Randi and the rest of the crew.

For those who couldn't come you definitely missed out on a great time.

OMG WHERE TO BEGIN!

To say all who attended had fun, just doesn't cover it! I think I got a total of fifteen hours of sleep during my entire stay and all the aches/pains/coughs/congestion I am feeling now is SO worth it!

Shakes head sadly at Russ2d who yet again insists on calling the best seafood place in Orlando Hurricane Harry's instead of it's proper name High Tide Harry's. :D It was great meeting (and squeezing) you Russ. Thanks to those who suggested it from the Cheep Eats thread. If you missed out - keep it in mind for future reference - it was GUUUUUUUUD!!

Best memories for me:
Dims Degenerate Scrabble -- "Weenis" Soup you rock! ROFL

All the "Can you read?" and "Do you know what harder means?" jokes thanks to nameless woman! You had to be there!

Turning the light off in my room to finally go to sleep and wondering why it was still bright in my room only to realize it was at 6:30am and the sun was coming up.

I'm never going to be able to see a mini-cupcake and not think of Toni - sorry girl. :D

Running into LilyBBW and Russ2d at the airport and being able to kill time as we were each stuck there for a while due to rain delay. It sort made the Bash feel not quite over with.

And in closing: KUDOS to the Bash Staff, E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G was beyond awesome.

I love the MA and NJ bashes, but seriously - is it next year yet?

- being in the lobby and meeting some of the awesome Dimmers. Seriously, it was like meeting characters from your favorite show. And they didn't mind when I hugged them while crazily stating over and over "You're real, you're real!"

- getting my Jersey on with Toni. She is an absolute hoot. And finding that Ginny has some Jersey in her too and Raven "gets" the smut.

- POOL PARTY! Excellent music, frozen drinks, fatties in the hot tub, watching a great ass in a white bikini walking around and laughing and dancing

- being mentioned in the program and Heather's extreme and excellent generousity

- Larry's birthday squashings! Thanks to Blackjack for the sign and all of the generous sitters for making this birthday the best one ever. (look for photos in the near future)

- watching a movie with friends and being able to discuss it afterwards.

- getting to know so many AWESOME people. Being able to spend time with some old and new friends.

- taking the SS photo. It was amazing how many folks were snapping our picture.

- the food in the hotel was really good and the lobby and hallways had great, comfortable seating.

- being able to enjoy the results of all the Bash crew's hardwork. Heather, AnnMarie, Johnny, Carla, Andy, Soupy, Ashley, Randi, Steve, Jennifer, Leroy, et al, did a FABULOUS job. They made this one of the Best. Vacations. Ever.

I am sure I will think of more things, but I really want to thank everyone who made us feel so welcome. This was one of the best weeks in my life and I will never forget it. We will be there next year!

What a great weekend! Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone! I don't feel like I can say it enough. From the "burning questions" at Fat Sexuality to the sing-along soiree I hope we have at every gathering from now on, I can't imagine having a better time anywhere. So many new friendships made, so many old friendships strengthened, so much laughter and fat sexy fun.

I've re-entered the skinny world now prouder and more at ease with myself than ever before. Certainly some of that is the bash high, and will wear off; but the roots of it, the solid part I've been working on my whole life, has a shiny new strength to it. Like steel, or whatever that stuff is in Wolverine's claws. And that's due to all of you.

So thanks again. See? I can't stop saying it. Thanks!

Heeey, he's up to 12 posts now! ;)

It was great meeting you, Dave.

And it was an amazing experience meeting Christine! She comes across as nothing but selfless on the boards... and to a great extent, that's true... but when her Jersey comes out, she's freaking hilarious as well. ;) And her hubby Larry is just the most helpful, sweet guy you'll ever see.

I just started listing the people I was amazed and honored to meet...and then realized I'm invariably going to leave someone out. All of you that I got to meet at this bash - meeting you was the experience of a lifetime, and I'm honored to count you among my best friends now. <3

Old friends I got to see again - it is ALWAYS good to see you, and always far too long between times that I get to! Miss you all already.

Man, I don't think I can add much to what has already been said. I had SUCH a great time at this bash. It was my first real bash and it was so much better than I even imagined. I got to meet so many wonderful people I've only know online and the atmosphere was really infectious. Now that it's over and I won't be seeing the majority of the great people I met for who knows how long, I'm kinda bummed out.

Setting up as a vendor and drawing so many lovely people was such a rush that I can't describe it. I'm flippin' EXHAUSTED from all the work, but the charge and the thrill I got from being able to make those drawings was like super crack for me. I could do another one of these every weekend and be a very happy Fish.

Big thanks to the organizers and everyone that made this weekend a somewhat life-changing experience.

Now I just need a professional, two hour massage and I'll be good. :)

I did need to add a few more things that made it so special for me.

- Meeting my fellow supersisters. A bunch of incredibly beautiful and talented women that inspire me to want to do more and be more.

- Meeting the one and only Conrad. The man who directly influenced mine and Larry's life with the original Dimensions magazine. He made it ok to tell people that I was a BBW and Larry was an FA.

- And the MOST entertaining moment - Carla and Andy singing karoke performing - I'm on a mother****ing boat! Holy Mother, that was the BEST!!

This was my first BBW bash ever and it was amazingly awesome! Everyone was so cool and the events were so much fun. How nice was that hotel?! I want to thank everyone for making me feel so welcome. It was nice to put the names with the faces. I had to duck out very early for the airport on Sunday morning so I missed the goodbyes.:doh: I don't think I can pick one favorite event since the whole weekend was top notch but the pool party and formal night was a blast. Can't wait to do it again next year!

Rather than sully the bash pics thread with distracting text and words, I'll add my bash roundup to the others already here.

Things I learned at Dimensions Bash 2009:

Florida in June is f'n HOT!

Thunder, lightning and blackouts with a group of BBW's is fun times.

Pina Colada's taste worse with added pool water in your cup.

Mashleydebango totally rock a green raft.

There are better methods of helping a supersize friend out of the pool than sticking your cranium in her posterior.

It takes 45 minutes (and tolls) to get to the local Orlando SONIC, but only 5 minutes to get back... and yes it IS possible to spend $76 in one SONIC run.

When it comes to Connect Four (ages 7 and up), I am THE MASTER.

I have learned to appreciate gals who belch and burp, even if it is "not very ladylike".

Must remember what day everyone is leaving so I don't constantly ask - When are you leaving?

For the next singalong:
*remember to TAKE OUT THE STAPLES!!
*bring my glasses so I can see without squinting

If you're gonna put a jizz target on your forehead, expect comments.

Peanut butter jars are no substitute for real cleavage BUT I can pull off wearing a Mankini.

Hotel lobby couches can only take so much punishment.

I must remember to wear a dress with a higher cut top so my boob doesn't fall out when I'm dancing in front of the National Geographic cameras.

Bad breath stinks (I have no sense of smell remember).

If you're talking to the perjuria kids in the pool, remember to keep your swimming trunks up around your waist.

Snack-raping isn't cool.

If I ever think of adding "sit on my face" to my title (i.e. Jay "sit on my face" Mango), I'll need to think of something else as its already taken.

Next year, scooter jousting is ON!!

:D

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Big thanks to all those who organised the event and volunteered to help out and contribute in what was a sterling effort. :bow:
And thanks to everyone who attended to make it the fabulous week that it was.
To those who couldn't make it - you missed out! :p
i'll work on my highlights, and get them up later...must has sleep and cleaning now!
