email addresses accepted for chat?

Hello all,

I was sort of in the mood for chatting, but I guess it had been so long since I last chatted using this system, my handle no longer worked. I tried to re-register it, but it won't accept the email addresses I provide as they are gmail and yahoo. What email providers are acceptable for chat registration purposes?

Ugh. That's especially hard as my service provider doesn't provide email.
