This might be weird, but I am always fascinated by how others smell, be it their natural scent, shampoo, deodorant, perfume or even fresh sweat and I wonder what you lovely queer Dimmers (or straight ones cool enough to venture in here) smell like.

What do you use or wear, if any? Do you have a signature scent, or do you match your fragrance with what you wear? Any interesting reactions to your smell? :)

I usually make sure i smell of Elizabeth Arden's green tea perfume (http://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Elizabeth-Arden/Green-Tea-83.html), but I was recently told they have discontinued this line. So looks like I will have to look around for something else. Personally, this is the ONLY perfume for women that I love - most others are colognes by Lacoste (http://www.lacoste-parfums.co.uk/mens-fragrances/lacoste-pour-homme/) or Tommy Boy by Tommy Hilfiger (I tried Tommy Girl - found the scent too pungent and artificial for my liking).

Overall I generally have almost no tolerance for perfumes for women (with the exception of EA's green tea).

When it comes to shower gels, shampoos, I tend to pick the fruity flavours (lemons should always smell lemony!:p).

I default to No. 5. Sometimes I wear Cristalle, Pleasures, or Shalimar. There's another Guerlain fragrance I really want that has a violetty element...

I permanently smell like vanilla (shower gel, hand lotion, etc...all vanilla).

On occasion, I smell like Axe from the red can (how descriptive!) or some variant on that 90's perfume Hard Candies.

Really strong sweet smelling perfumes make me feel ill.. gah. I was walking behind a woman in the shops yesterday who had splashed a whole flowerfield in a bottle on herself and by the time i got to the checkout my head was swimming...
I wear Armani attitude though not all the time but not just when i am going out either.. just when i fancy complimenting the usual raw animalistic pheremonal delights that eminate from me..:D
I wear the smell that GD likes (obviously i like it too) because she is the one who spends the most time sniffing me... and GD wears the scent that she likes (i love it too) because she is the Boss. Oh she wears Armani mania- cause we are a couple of brand name wankers... well not really..we just really like the smell of those man perfumes (What do you call man perfumes again?? I forget..)

I love the Liz Claiborne collection; pretty much all of it. I use perfume only for special occasions, though. On regular days, I use Bath & Body Works soaps & lotions. My favorite is Warm Vanilla Sugar, followed by Brown Sugar Fig. For haircare products, I use Aveda Rosemary Mint. It has a very earthy scent, and I love how clean & invigorating it feels, first thing in the morning.

Nag Champa. Oil, body butter and soap.

I use CIBU (http://www.cibuinternational.com/) hair products - I adore them and they smell like exotic flowers. :)

If I'm feeling all girly and whatnot I wear Vera Wang Princess. I don't wear it too much because I think I might be the only one who likes it (my friends hate it - I say stop friggin smelling me). Day to day I usually use Clinique Happy, which I do find very light and cheerful.

I use a lot of Burt's Bees stuff, olive oil soap and Hemp hand lotion... not really sure what it smells like... nature n' stuff I guess.

I try and wear something scented usually, because I mean lets face it there aren't many that can resist the bedazzlery that is my musk.

I use the Garnier Fructis hair products, which I describe as smelling like tangerines and gasoline, though the type I use isn't as strong-smelling as some of the others.

I don't wear deodorant or anti-perspirant unless I know I'll be doing something worth sweating over because it takes a lot to make me sweat. However my sweat smells kinda like onions.

Heck, now that I think about it, having just moved into a new place I probably have no deodorant of my own here. Probably will just use the lady's in a pinch.

For my general smell it changes day to day based on what body wash I use since I have SO DAMN MANY from Bath & Body Works. Right now the lineup is the Peppermint one from the Aromatherapy line, some Moonlit Path (I loooooove lavender), and a tangerine/citrus one that I picked up during a big clearance sale when they changed their packaging a while ago, and lots of old and discontinued scents made their way back to the shelves for one last hurrah.

I smell like Chuck Norris, Elvis and 2 of the Three Stooges.

Other times I wear a cologne that is made from a perfumers oil called Dragon's Hide and I dilute it with some Absolut vodka then put it in an atomizer. It is dark and spicy with smoke and leather notes.

Woodsmoke, cheap adidas deoderant, (sometimes fresh sweat) and also my natural smell which is a bit like fresh ground black pepper and real wool. :p :D

Some folks remark on the woodsmoke, generally favourably... which is nice...

My wife reacts badly to most perfumes and colognes, and even many of the more strongly scented bath products, so I don’t have much in the way of artificial odors about me. About the strongest applied smell you might get off me is the occasional whiff of ‘baby shampoo’ which I sometimes use on my hair when I’ve biked to work (it is gentle enough not to demand conditioner, speeding up my work shower). (well, I also use deodorant, but I hope you wouldn’t actually smell that?)

In the misty past, before we were together, I still didn’t use much. I was always torn multiple ways on the subject. On the one hand I wanted to delve into the world of scents, but on the other I have a pretty poor sense of smell and didn’t trust myself to be able to judge what was a good scent on me. Also I had no interest in the traditional male scents, since the stereotypes associated with them didn’t interest me at all, and I didn’t have the scent education to know what else was available that might be nice, but not raise too many eyebrows.

I suppose I must have a natural body smell, no doubt reflecting what I eat. So maybe I reek of dairy products and meat?

I use Sauve products pretty much exclusively for body wash, shampoo and conditioner. This only really changes if something is on sale or I have a few extra bucks to spend at Bath & Body Works. As far as scents, I go for anything fruity or flowery. I'm really not a fan of anything mint or vanilla though. If I'm using bar soap it's generally Dove, just the original scent which just smells like.. soap? I don't know how to describe it. Not much of a scent.

I rarely wear perfume anymore.. I used to wear that Britney Spears Circus one exclusively but now if I wear perfume it's generally Midnight Pomegrante from B&BW. Instead, I generally just use a little body spray and/or lotion .. also from B&BW. My favorite in everything is Midnight Pomegrate but I venture out to some of the other fruity or flowery scents occasionally (once again - no mint or vanilla usually!)

As far as natural body scent.. I don't know if I really have one? Occasionally I feel like my hair smells a little like our well water, which isn't a good scent but not bad either. I hate living at my dads because of the well water.. this is the first time in my life I've had to use it and I don't like it all haha.

I try and smell like cleanliness. Well, my more realistic goal is to try and not smell like ANYthing. To achieve this I shun male deoderants like the plague. Am I the only one here that thinks all men's deoderants smell like the men's locker room? It actually starts off smelling good when I first put it on, but after four hours you get that cheap, weird, sweet smell that distinctively smells like a locker room. Any deoderant with the word "Sport" on it will make you wreak. So what do I do about this? I wear women's deoderant (how appropriate that I'm admitting this on the GLBTQ board). Unscented of course. I mean, I don't want to smell like "An Autumn Breeze" or "Lavender Spring", so I don't hesitate to go for the unscented Mitchum, Ban, Secret, etc... Never had a girlfriend complain. She might if I came to her house smelling like William "The Refrigerator" Perry after a game.

I also like the smell from a bottle of oatmeal body wash.

I'm a mostly unscented kind of girl. I wash with Summer's Eve Feminine Wash for Sensitive Skin and sometimes I wash with Kiss My Face "Peaceful Patchouli." Otherwise all you smell is warm skin or the faint smell of Passion Fruit Smoothie conditioner.

Interesting responses everyone!

Tania, are you talking about Insolence? I wish No.5 works for me. I just get a headache from the aldehydes and all I get is soap after. It smells wonderful on others though.

Strangey, Tad and others - I don't really like the idea of male and female scents. I think that 90% of it is just marketing. I suppose men and women do prefer different things but as with other things, the contrast (masculine-looking guy wearing a feminine perfume or vice versa, older woman wearing something sweet, floral and girly) is something that will catch my attention.

I don't have a consistent smell, but I wish I do. I am fascinated with smells and love the idea of a signature scent that people can recognise me by but I guess I am way too fickle for that. I don't even have a favourite genre.

I have a mild perfume obsession; I am fascinated by in strange, beautiful but often unwearable fragrances (Serge Lutens) and classic old lady smells (vintage Guerlain). The people around me don't seem to care for or like my perfumes much (I have gotten unflattering comments about cat pee, unwashed armpits and mothballs), so I mostly wear a tiny bit just to amuse myself without offending others. I get bored easily and often have mixed feelings about the fragrances I own. The safe, inoffensive ones I wear the most often are Shiseido Feminite du Bois (boozy cedar, candied fruit, violets, honey) and Guerlain Chamade (powdery fruity warm floral).

I also often go for weeks without consciously using anything scented. Strangely enough, I get the most compliments when I am not actually wearing anything special. I use a variety of hair and body care products (I do love Bath and Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom and Warm Vanilla Sugar - if only there is a store here!), mostly drugstore and people always comment that my hair, or my cleavage smells good. My exes also seem to enjoy jumping me when I am dripping with fresh sweat.

I love it when a partner's scent lingers on me in the morning - so comforting! Unless they smell bad, of course. ;)

I use Love Spell (http://www2.victoriassecret.com/commerce/onlineProductDisplay.vs?namespace=productDisplay&origin=onlineProductDisplay.jsp&event=display&prnbr=EF-206453&page=1&cgname=OSBAFGARLSP&rfnbr=6332) body mist by Victorias Secrets everyday, layered with the Love Spell body butter (http://www2.victoriassecret.com/commerce/onlineProductDisplay.vs?namespace=productDisplay&origin=onlineProductDisplay.jsp&event=display&prnbr=EF-246731&page=1&cgname=OSBAFGARLSP&rfnbr=6332). It's a soft dreamy crisp scent that I've used since Jr.High, it seems to work well with my shampoo and other hair stuffs which is Aussie (http://www.aussie.com/en_US/catch-the-wave). I use a regular bar soap Grapefruit scented by Dove (http://www.dove.us/?dl=/Products/BarSoapBodyWash/BB_White.aspx/#/Products/BarSoapBodyWash/BB_Energize.aspx/), which smells so fresh because of the lemongrass! From time to time, during Spring I'll wear Clinque Happy and Bora Bora (http://www.fragrancex.com/MakeCappedImage.html?file=images%2fproducts%2fsku% 2ffull%2f783W.jpg) by Liz Claiborne it's soft, very feminine and I get these lil squinty eyed looks from people trying to guess the smell, I thinks it a kinda/sorta grandmotherly smell, but with green tea lotion it's mellowed out a lot!

The weird thing is, most people love the undertone of my liquid detergent! Lavender Lilac by Gain (http://www.ilovegain.com/lavender_lilac.do)! I get more sniffs because of it than all of my sprays and perfumes! Who knew!

It is surprisingly fascinating reading about everyone's scent and preferences! This is a neat thread :D

I am restricted in what I can wear on a daily basis; I work in a cancer care center and the patients are very sensitive to smells, so pretty much anything detectable is a no-go (popcorn is banned from the building too, as that scent is apparently the most bothersome of all, and we have some other nonintuitive restrictions... for instance, no plants and no fake nails, as both can grow nasty stuff like fungus and mold that can infect our patients). I wear old spice deodorant (review/description of the old spice scent here (http://www.nstperfume.com/2007/11/14/old-spice-os-signature-fragrance-reviews/)) on a regular basis, but the scent isn't very strong when it's under clothes. I sometimes use Dove cherry blossom & almond body wash, which I love but try not to use on workdays as it's definitely more noticeable... TONS of positive comments when I use that one, though. One of my favorite scents is vintage Chloe (description here (http://perfumeshrine.blogspot.com/2008/03/chlo-new-vs-old.html)- the one I like is the rounded bottle with the peach box, not either of the square bottles which are newer scents). I got a powder/lotion/perfume set from a great-great-grandmother who died or something when I was about 12, and I LOOOOOOOOOVED it... still do, although again I can't wear anything like that on a regular basis. As the linked description implies, the scent is awfully strong, but I've had good luck diluting it a bit to make it a little more manageable and less overwhelming.

I don't have any good description of my overall natural smell, as I don't really notice it most of the time, heh. Post-arousal it's very sharp and a little sour (kinda citrusy maybe?) though - noooooo way can I go anywhere without showering or at least putting on more deodorant after sex! Also, it's weird, but I love the smell of my cleavage. It's a totally distinct smell from my underarms, which I assume is what most people think of when discussing a person's scent - it's sort of musky and nutty and warm. I dunno, maybe that's the scent of most of my skin, and I just don't notice it anywhere else because I can't exactly smell the backs of my knees :p

I like the title of this thread, which is so counter to the usual tendencies of the web. You ask us what we smell like. Hm, here, take a sniff. Got that?

Seriously, it's such a wonderful question, because sensuality is still the last frontier. The foodee board is wonderful precisely because it's so lush and overflowing with images and descriptions that make your mouth water. I wonder if they will ever manage to make the www interactive across other senses beside sight and sound.

I dont know if the question really includes me (sorry if that sounds neurotic, but i am venturing into this board for perhaps the first time, don't mean to invade... just fascinated by the question). I wear some scents (that Gaultier in the bottle shaped like a guy, or Eau Sauvage, which isn't sauvage whatsoever come to think of it)...., but love the aveda hair products, the way they subtly say herbal. Lately i walk around with the whiff of hand sanitizer on me because i am washing my hands so much and then putting that stuff on after: not very sensuous i am afraid.

I know there are people who like the genuine scent of sweat --where are you--but i prefer to stay clean smelling, so i wear a deodorant, and shower twice a day if it's really hot. Do i have a double standard? maybe. I just feel a bit more in control if i am not distracting everyone with my own smell (and that includes the stuff in bottles, which must be used sparingly).

I like to experiment with a lot of scents. I also have a huge line of lotions. I enjoyed the Temptations line from Bath and Body Works, but looks like it's been discontinued for the time being. I do wish they'd bring the line back.

I also am a fan of stuff like Demeter Fragrance Library and Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab scents. I like to switch things up depending on my mood and frame of mind, however I do have a signature scent that I am recognized by. I get comments on how I smell often and in many places. My signature scent is Pink Sugar by Aquolina. It blends well with and on my body.

When I'm wearing it, the smell is interpreted differently by many. I've been told I smell exactly like freshly spun cotton candy, caramel candy, warm vanilla sugar, cocoa butter, birthday cake or a pastry bakery. The scent isn't cheap or nasty-smelling. Aquolina has done a good job in creating a sophisticated gourmand scent that works well. There's a male version of the perfume too: Blue Sugar. That smells really good and it is altered a bit for more of masculine, but still sweet and exotic, scent. I just hope they don't discontinue either. I am going to have to stock up one of these days just in case.

I also smell like coconut oil. It's very subtle. I liberally use organic, pure, virgin coconut oil on my skin, hair and face. I put it on after a shower, after I wash my face to replenish moisture and I moisturize my hair with it when styling. It's truly a great natural oil for so many things, not just for cooking.

I also use many of the Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps when I take a shower or have a bath. Currently, I use the orange oil soap, lavender oil soap, and almond oil soap. I switch up with each depending on my mood. They leave a very clean feeling and after-scent that blends in well with my perfume and my body after dousing on coconut oil after a shower/bath.

Other times, I'll use pure cocoa butter, aloe vera or homemade fresh fruit pastes for my skin (to leave on for awhile and then wash off).

I like being my own bath and beauty alchemist. It's fun, rewarding, experimental and beneficial.

most days i don't wear perfume...i work in an office with many people and they frown on it. too many scents on too many people are overwhelming i guess. normally i just smell like my coconut shampoo or that weird fruity smell of aussie hairspray..lol.

if i am going out, i like to wear rapture by victoria secret. it is very girlie.

I am a certified perfume-aholic. LOL.

anyway... I am very sensitive to smells, can't wear or be around anything strong (makes me sick), but I do wear Bath & Body Works lotions...

Brown Sugar & Fig (wear this the most)

Night Blooming Jasmine

I bathe with Ivory only (I hate the smell of strong soap..especially in the morning) :p I use Pantene Ice Shine on my hair (the best shampoo/conditioner by far I have found).

What an interesting question.

I'm not into perfumes so much. If I wear a scent it is subtle - sometimes I put a couple drops of orange and frankincense essential oil in my hair, but it would only be noticed if I was inches from someone.

There is only one perfume that I would consider wearing. I've had the bottle for years and would only wear it for a special reason because I believe it no longer is made. It's tobacco flower oddly enough - a beautiful smell which has nothing to do with what tobacco smells like.

Wow, just thinking about that flooded back so many memories...powerful sense indeed.

I've been wearing Lolita Lempicka's signature perfume as of late. It's dark and sweet and smells of anise and violets (and some other stuff, but I forget). I love it, but it's so strong that I try to only use a spritz or two.

Well, this obviously is a personal thing but I smell like me. I don't wear any scent of any kind -- aftershave, cologne -- and I make it a point to use fragrance-free lotions and skin treatments whenever possible. I haven't worn anything scented for years and years.

I think a man should smell like a man. He should shower every day and after every workout but he should always smell like a man. I also feel it is the woman who should have the spotlight when it come to wearing fragrances. When we are together I don't want to compete with her, don't want to get into "dueling fragrances" when out for the evening.

Plus, most guys don't have a clue how to wear a scent. I hate it when I shake hands with a guy and have his aftershave on me for the next two hours.

I used to wear men's cologne and such when I was younger, but in the city, that doesnt exactly work well, lol.

Sure it does. I prefer men's colognes to women's. Lately I've been wearing CO Bigelow Blue Elixir and Red Elixir from Bath & Body Works. I love how they smell. Not sure how the boyfriend feels about it, heh. If I want to smell less manly, I wear Dancing Waters, Cool Citrus Basil, Sea Island Cotton, or Freshwater Cucumber body sprays from B&BW. Once in a blue moon I like the girly Freesia spray.

When I wore women's colognes, I wore Amarige by Givenchy, Perry Ellis 360, and Coolwater for women. Perfumes like Chanel No. 5 and Shalimar give me a headache.

mergirl, it's from Anchorman - I wouldn't have guessed the Pixies lyric!

:wubu::D

60% of the time, it works EVERY TIME ;)

My actual scent is whatever I naturally smell like, and whatever I use to clean myself. And a deodorant that isn't too strong. Some perfumes and aftershaves smell nice for just a sniff, but anything that strong for a prolonged time makes me feel sick. Which is handy as I'm cheap & lazy anyway.

Frankie I love the smell of Amarige! I actually have some. For sniffing not wearing (I attempted to but it's just not gonna work).

I really, really detest over perfuming. Subtly is an art.

I also dig the green tea perfume from Elizabeth Arden. I like sandalwood oil and other, earthy, raw scents. I trend away from the girly, floral and more towards spicy.

However, I recently got my first real perfume - the black one from the Baby Phat line. It's spicy and smoky and if not overdone, makes me quite pleased.

I personally think my body odor is just fine. Expect for those extra juicy days down under. What can I say? I'm a moist girl. What?

I smell like Chuck Norris, Elvis and 2 of the Three Stooges.

Oh, god, yes. I do too. Well, after a long day at the shop, and then after working out, right when I wake up.... Kinda. See, I hate day or night showers, I'm a morning shower kind of person. Besides, my day is over at 1900; that's time for dinner chased by a beer or two, usually with a movie, and muck about till 2130 or so, and bed.
There's the Tressemme (or however the hell that's spelled) shampoo and condit smell....
Used to have some Nag Champa soap but I used it and it was gone. So these days it's Sugar Tone (or Glow, sugar sommat, any rate.... funny kawasaki green and toxic canary yellow wrapper on a clear bottle) body wash...
And whatever grease and gas and burnt oil smells stick to my shop clothes.
And, suddenly reminded of the rabies car*, the other smells that come home from the shop.
Unlike most females, I guess, I also sweat copiously, and use men's Degree deoderant ("reacts to adrenaline", almost true), the extreme blast scent. Smells kind of like clean laundry. Depsite my best efforts, I still smell rather ....umm... Productive. Busy. Heh.
I use Tide regular concentrated liquid. Bounce regular fabric softener.
Plus tobacco smoke, occasional whiffs of pot smoke, sometimes beer, and I have two cats and a dog. Some people say pets are noticeable.
And leather, because I have an awesome 60" leather trenchcoat (or overcoat, if you want to be picky). No, not a duster, I know. It's still a 60" leather coat that only cost me $110. Hah hah hah!
That's how I smell.

*Rabies car: Had this car in, smelled like you'd get rabies or whatever that is that mouse turds carry.... or maybe that was ferret turd in there... All over the engine, all over the inside, a blanket in the back with a nasty reddish-brownish sorta stain and more turds on it, food remains and food wrappers everywhere, more turd just about everywhere.... bug nests in the hubcaps, bugs that crawled out and invaded the shop, spider cocoons, other cocoons other places, just flat fuckin NASTY.... NO ONE in the shop wanted to drive it around... one guy took to calling it "the rabies car".... It was enough to make anyone gag. It'd make a gargoyle take flight from a building. I'd say it'd stun a moose but a moose wouldn't be dumb enough to get that close.
Since *I* was the one that had to work on the key ignition and the steering column in the damn thing- requires sitting in it- I took to it with a whole can of Lavendar Air Neutralizer, another whole can of Wild Flowers air neutralizer, three "new car" air fresheners, and another whole can of Renuzit Wild Flowers I found sitting around. I also vacuumed as best I could where I had to work- I'm not getting sick off that nasty.
It was tolerable after that (in the front seats only, I didn't have enough smellgoods to do the whole car), but the lady who owned it bitched up a storm that her car didn't smell like flowers when it got here..... wish I could have heard the service writer's explanation, but I was working on a Prius by then....

We both wear the mens aftershave instead of perfume. I wear Armani mania for men and Mer wears Attitude for men, although personality wise I'd say she is the manic one and I have the attitude, lol xx

I forget..)

I need a new scent... Right now I wear Calgon's Tahitian Orchid. The bottle's almost empty, but I don't think I'll be repeating it... Unless I'm freshly bathed, it just stinks. It doesn't like my body chemistry. A few years ago, I wore a Healing Garden scent which they discontinued. Before that, it was white musk fantasy by Body Fantasies... Yes, I am a plastic bottle perfume girl. I can't wear the white musk, because it reminds me of my ex, and sex, and is therefore a handicapping distraction. I may go back to essential oils.
.
.

I generally like to spray a little scent over me before I begin the day, and also add a little to the area between my legs. I find that that, plus my natural scent, is very pleasant and alluring.
.
.
I do not like to change up my scents, and I prefer it when other people don't. I like to know who I'm smelling... In college, I had a crush who always smelled great. One day, I got a whiff of his cologne a few seconds before I saw him. My heart leapt out of my chest, it was that extreme. Later on, I had a boss who wasn't the most handsome man on earth, but he had a scent he had custom blended. After he'd walk down the hall, women would stand up and lean into the hall, just to smell his scent. Pure sexy.

L'Occitane's honey & lemon hand cream, L'Occitane eau de miel, L'Occitane amber eau de parfum (noticing a pattern here?), Demeter's Wet Garden, Burberry Brit (don't wear it that much), and Elizabeth W's Vetiver.

For anyone that loves clean florals, herbals, or citrusy scents, you have to check out Vetiver. It has a wonderful fresh smell of lemon verbena and maybe a little bit of cedar or cypress, and it's almost a unisex scent, but the finish just has the lightest hint of a citrus blossom that makes it just feminine enough. Most of my male friends that are not fans of "perfumey" smells have liked it a lot.

In the colder months, I'm also a sucker for Dolce & Gabbana and Tresor, worn verrrrrrrrrry lightly.

I just find garlic and grease nauseating. It smells like a damp gym. It's not racist, half my family is Chinese. And Marshallese and Polynesian aren't Asian. People here just have a penchant for garlic and frying things. And not bathing. Infact it is such an issue, it went to the State House that the Bus should have the right to ban people who stink from getting on the bus. The Bus (that's actually the company;s name) lost in court because that "would infringe on people's rights".

I've always wanted to know what I smell like. Well, I know what I put on me. I shampoo with Redken and wash up with aveeno oatmeal wash, I've been spraying myself with Victoria's Secret Good Day sunshine, and deodorize with secret baby powder scent. But.... I have always wanted to know, beyond the false chemical smells, what I really really smell like. What does my warmth smell like. Do I smell like a musty closet or like grass? Or like warm baking bread.. Who knows, but I'd like someone to tell me.

There are parts of the world where they call Axe deodorant Lynx. That's almost worth discriminating against.

As for my smell; it's a bit of a mix between Davidoff Cool Water, Rexona deodorant, whatever shampoo I blindly grabbed at in the supermarket and cigarette smoke in the weekends.

By the way, is it okay for me to post here? I just realize I never really did before.

Honestly, not much of anything. Maybe dove bar clean?

I have gotten botox in my armpits, hairline and feet since I was maybe 14-15 (7-8 years ago). I don't wear any deodorant or antiperspirant (never EVER will I sweat out those spots, so no need). I love soft, yummy pretty scents used with a light hand (it’s overwhelming to nearly be knocked out cold by smelling someone from across the room, did they pour the whole bottle on themselves…*dizzy*…lol)! I've been told I always smell good; usually like sweets/candy, fresh soft floral scents, baked goods or just freshly showered/natural/clean (I work in a “scent free” environment).

I’m a big fan of The Body Shop and Bath and Body Works products (YUMM). I’ve also been known to wear Gwen Stefani’s Harajuku Lovers “G” perfume, J-Lo’s “Glow,” Calgon “marshmallow” body spray, “Happy” by Clinique, and a few other delicious scents.

I also really love that natural freshly showered smell when I’m dating a special sweetie (no scented body lotions, colognes/perfumes, etc -- just “clean” smelling), thus, allowing our natural scent to come through -- Quite attractive I find! :wubu:

Creepy topic. Why are we replying?

Lots of people here are speaking about perfume, etc. Please be conservative with it. Nothing is more offensive than a person wearing heavy cologne or perfume. I will leave a restaurant before I'll pay to eat food I can't taste because of a nearby patron who bathed in an artificial scent. It is literally as bad as smoking.

I've been transitioning for six and a half years.
At this point (due to hormones and testosterone suppression) I pretty much "smell" female.
Especially my genitals and armpits.
It was one o the first major changes to my body, and I love it!

The thread is for this:

"What do you use or wear, if any? Do you have a signature scent, or do you match your fragrance with what you wear? Any interesting reactions to your smell?"

Just an fyi.

I use that that Old Spice body wash and deodorant called Figi. It smells pretty damn good in my opinion but according to the old spice people I should smell like "Palm Trees, Sunshine and Freedom".

but,If it really smelled like that I think I would smell like a mix of grassy, burnt and bloody with a hint of gun powder.

This might be weird, but I am always fascinated by how others smell, be it their natural scent, shampoo, deodorant, perfume or even fresh sweat and I wonder what you lovely queer Dimmers (or straight ones cool enough to venture in here) smell like.

I smell like "Teen Spirit" and "Chanel Chance"

Ooooo I discovered a new smell from bath and body works: Pear Berry. I am in love with it. It's subtle, not over sweet. It's really pleasant and "fun".

I tend to like higher end perfumes but I absolutely looooove Avon Far Away Exotic perfume! It has elements of chai, spice, and coconut, perfect for fall.

I have such an allergic reaction to Avon. It's horrible. I'm deadly allergic to lilac and lavender, both are base oils for a lot of their perfumes. :(

And those are my favorite floral notes ! This is true, they tend to use that certain base note in most of their perfumes. Some folks call it 'avonade'.

I have a disease called "Sarcoidosis".. my lungs seize up, I get a migraine and can't breathe. I vomit, shake and pass out. It sucks ass. I LOVE lilac..LOVE IT.

Vanilla is starting to do it to me too.

The base notes and oils (especially the lilac and one unidentifiable one that isn't lavender) of Avon scents nauseate me except for one called Fantasque Louis Feraud. I'm not even sure they make it anymore. I also get really sick from anything with lily of the valley no matter who makes it. I like all the real flowers, just those scents and that base oil...not for me.

I've been using the original Ghost perfume for years, so that's what I usually smell like. Although I sometimes smell like vanilla because I have vanilla scented lip balm.

Well according to their website..."Understated yet gloriously feminine and a true modern classic. Sparkling fresh notes of Ambrette and Rose mix with sensual Jasmine and Hibiscus to convey an enticing floral bouquet. Incense, Sandalwood, aromatic Vanilla and musk give a deeper foundation to this iconic fragrance."

All I can say is that it smells really good.

Ectoplasm?

:D Not quite.

Ectoplasm?

Bwahhah! I was thinking, "Ghost perfume.. must smell like it's not really there."

I looked it up.. I'm on board for all the oils used, but for vanilla. If it's an overpowering vanilla... I'd pass. Victoria, does it smell blended well, or is the vanilla way strong like a glittery stripper in a club?

Personally, I can't really smell vanilla in the perfume - it's more floral to me. I've never been concerned that I smell like a stripper, so I think that's a good sign :p.

I smell like shampoo and deodorant I suppose! I used to use various types of herbal essences but I use head and shoulders now so it doesn't have such a strong smell. I've been told that I smell like girl regardless! Not sure how as I never wear scented perfumes or body sprays or anything!

Not wearing perfume at the moment, so I smell of coconut oil that I apply on my hair. It's quite nice.

My blueberry scented shampoo and ck obsession today because it reminds me of someone special. I love squirting my girlfriends perfume on an item of clothing so i can imagine her being with me all day. I just need to close my eyes breath deep and imagine she is there

I have a side job now at a department store selling fragrances and cosmetics(its a ton of fun doing my hobby for money). I often reek of a hodgepodge of fragrances, but today I wore Calvin Klein Euphoria.
