Was just curious to think what the board thought regarding the topic. Better to be on the receiving or giving end of immobility. I know some don't care for either so you might reserve a reply for those who do - if even in fantasy. It will be interesting to see what people think.

I, personally, am relatively immobile. I can walk around my apartment or to the lobby to get the mail but can't do much more than that. I have to take the "short bus" everywhere I go for which I am most thankful. I have to use the electric carts at the grocery store also for which I am thankful. But when I go to the local hospital for Dr. visits, the staff has to push me around in a wheelchair. This embarasses the hell out of me!! I wouldn't mind so much if I had my own motorized cart but instead I have to rely on someone else.
So I guess for me, it's better for the one on the giving side. Although I can no longer walk far distances, I'd still like to have some independence. A motorized cart would bring some but alas, I cannot afford one.
