Hey,
Had a very enjoyable half-hour at the local generic hair-cuttery this weekend, thought I'd post it and see if anyone's had similar experiences or thoughts.
First of all, the woman who cut my hair was an attractive bbw. Probably about 30, lovely ebony cutie, probably 250-300 lbs (I'm not all that good at estimating), though also probably about 5'10. Here's what I'm curious about--while she was cutting my hair, she inevitably ended up rubbing against my arm. That's normal, entirely incidental to the job, and non-sexual. However, she had a cute little belly and some music was playing; everytime her belly brushed against my arm, she would groove to the music, and I'd feel it jiggling against me. Anyone else experience this? I don't mean to sound like a pervert, just enjoyed the haircut :)
Second, and even more enticing, was the absolutely gorgeous ssbbw waiting on her boyfriend getting his haircut. She was younger than me, maybe 21, about 5'8, and was certainly 400 lbs or more. Very pretty, and with curves from here to December (in particular, very voluptuous legs, a favorite of mine). Even better, she was clearly confident. She wasn't wearing anything revealing, just slacks and a sweatshirt (weather's turned cold), but they clung to her beautifully; and when her bf got done, they were flirting and teasing each other. A happy couple, and a very lucky guy.
My third and final observation requires a shoutout to TS Monkey, and a question to all the lovely ladies on the board. After seeing this vision of a ssbbw, and going back to get my haircut from a cute bbw, I was sitting there in the chair. It occurred to me that, while it wasn't a particularly small chair, the ssbbw likely couldn't have fit, or at a minimum would've needed to squeeze. Is this a problem for you when you get your hair cut girls? Granted, this was a generic-cheapo cuttery, I really am not sure what chairs are like at an actual stylists.
Anyway, yet again I've been longwinded. Just thought I'd share why I left the barber's with shorter hair, and a grin on my face.

No longer being able to fit into the chairs is one of several reasons why I am no longer going to the hairdresser. (I'm probably close to 450 now at 5'5 or so.) For the last year I have just been letting my hair grow....and I intend to keep doing so. I do realize that's not an ideal solution for most people, however! And, to be fair, I am sure that if I asked, the women in the shop would be only too happy to give me a cut in an armless chair. They are very accommodating that way. I just haven't asked.

My, how did you know I had a thing for ssbbw with long hair? :)
It can be a problem. It is definitely a tight fit. And my hairdresser definitely knows better than to try to use the pneumatic lift on me, so she sits on a stool to trim my hair, rather than try to raise me up and break her expensive chair. ;)

When I get a trim (just to prevent split ends) I sit in an armless chair we drag over from the waiting area. My hairdresser has a little box she can stand on if she needs some height. I used to get cuts at a nice salon downtown, but the at some point the chair just became too narrow and no armless ones were available. When I was looking for a new salon, I called around first, explained the situation and made sure the stylist would be willing to accommodate me and that they had armless chairs available in the shop. Fortunately I found a stylist I like on the first try.
Anyway, yet again I've been longwinded. Just thought I'd share why I left the barber's with shorter hair, and a grin on my face.
I tend to fit fine, but MY problem is that I have hair down to my waist (which, being short, is not as long as it sounds, probably!) So I often have to stand to get the bottom cut well (raising the chair doesn't always work).

I used to have my teeth cleaned by a dental hygienist who was a short, cute plumper. She was also fairly aggressive in her work and her hard, round belly used to do more than brush up against me! She almost seemed to use it as a pivot point when she leaned over me. The first time it was a surprise. After that it was kind of nice, an unexpected pleasant moment. Not really sexual or sensuous, but physical and warm...

I just spent 3.5 hours at the salon on Saturday. They do magical things to my hair to make the color the same a it was many years ago.... ;) Color, highlights, a cut, and blow dry, and I am lucky that I have found a stylist that is kind and appreciates me as a customer. In the effort to find one not only did I come accross chairs that would not fit, but bitchy hair dressers that felt it too hard to work around my ample form. Spending that kind of money is no fun when the person who is doing it barely give you the time of day huffs and puffs about having to reach around you or if the smock/cover does not fit. I guess the answer to the question yes, the chairs are a problem but the people can be a bigger problem. It helps that my stylist is a BBW... We laugh and giggle and are open an honest about the challenges of working around all of me.... squeezing into the shampoo chair and back again can cause giggles all around, luckily she helps me get up with a big smile!

Same thing for me. I haven't had a problem fitting in the chairs, but I always have to stand up for them to cut my hair anyway.
I did have a problem with an upscale place where I used to get my color done in Atlanta. Instead of protective drapes, they had robes to put on over your clothes. I told the stylist no thanks on the too small robe, and the next time I went in they had changed over to using the one size fits everyone drapes.

Reminds me of back when I was 12 or 13 when I went to a hairdresser who was pretty, plump and unbelievably stacked. While washing my hair, she rubbed her boobs on my chest and chin and while cutting my hair kept pressing them into my shoulder as well. It was the closest thing to a sexual experience I'd had up to that point and I still have trouble breathing when I think about it.
I don't have nearly as much to cut anymore, but there's a very cute, dark haired SSBBW who works at a local Supercuts whom I've been eyeing to take over from the dour Russian dude who currently clips me.

Hmm, the chairs at my hairdresser must be a bit larger than most, as I fit quite well at 360 pounds (though I'm also quite tall). She can still use the pump raiser as well without issue. I have found quite a few chairs in other places that I can't fit in comfortably at all, though.

I'll chime in here...
I don't usually have a problem with the chairs where I normally go, BUT, one time I went to a Posh salon for a switch and Mother of God, you would have thought I was an ALIEN! They were all wispering and looking at me and of course I was in a panic looking at thier little tiny artsy chairs - knowing I was not going to fit in them...but...I figured, hey, I'm paying them, so tough crap, right? Anyway, when I went into the back to put on the little robe that didn't fit.....and then was given a drape like MOST salons have anyway, they brought me back to the main floor area and like "magic" the artsy little cair was gone replaced by a folding metal chair. No one said a word about it. I suppose they were trying to be nice.....but....it made me uncomfortable - I'm much more of an in your face type person and would rather have made a big production out of it - I mean, CLEARLY people can see I'm a big fattie, so why not just say, "Hey, my fat butt is not going to fit in your little artsy chair, so what are we going to do!?!?!?" They could have got me as a client, as the hair cut I got was great, but....since they didn't handle things in a way that made me feel comfortable, I never went back.
My current hair dresser is a doll and does anything to accomodate me....I have a bit of trouble with dryer chairs at her place, but she just moves the dryer over to a regular cutting station chair for me.
Oh, and YES, I have to stand up too since my hair is soooo long. Past my waist now.....I am due for a trim!

There's a hair place in Leeds called the Hair Cuttery - crap name, great stylists though as every single one is a BBW - no word of a lie. I only go in occasionally as it's a little on the pricey side but before now I've waited at the bus stop outside... and admired the view discretely lol...
One of the girls in there who caught my eye had to be at least 450# and wasn't much more than about 5' 3" - a cute little round redhead in a tight t-shirt... yummy! The others are smaller but by no means the usual skinny little things you normally come across in these places...
I hate the barbers (you never come out looking like you hoped you would, and usually get relieved of a fair sum of money in the process) but maybe there is an upside to the experience :p
