I don't know if you're still interested in people's experience but if so-

I had lap RNY 9 months ago. I have lost 110 lbs. I was back at work exactly 1 week after the surgery.

As far as energy, I think I'm just getting back to my energy levels. But I was very active before the surgery. The day before the procedure, I was in a spinning class, and then took my weekly dance class. I was walking 15 minutes, twice a day, 3 days after surgery. I was back on the recumbent bike at two weeks, and back on the ice at 2 months, though I haven't tried to jump yet. The hardest thing for me has been getting back to a consistant weight training schedule, which is too bad because I think it would help tighten things up so my skin wouldn't look so saggy.
