Two points: The right to an abortion, actually the right to privacy. Was interpreted into the US Constitution by the Supreme Court. It is not in the actual text of the Bill of Rights. The right to own a gun is in the Second Amendment.

Two, even people that favor abortion rights also favor some restrictions. Do they want their 14 year old daughter who can't drive a car, vote or legally take a drink deciding to end her pregnancy on her own? That child can't get an aspirin from the school nurse without a written permission from the parent.
