I love it and use it often. I like how inclusive the word is, but it has become so much of a catch-all that people ask me to elaborate anyway.

Butch, I do understand what you mean by straight allies identifying with the word queer and using it for themselves, but I would be rather confused if a girl who identifies as 100% straight goes around proclaiming to be queer. In my opinion, the word best suits someone who is not completely heterosexual or cisgendered.
