Greetings fellow eaters/aficionados
I've been lurking in the shadows too long. I am not usually the public sort of person that would post like this, but hey, time changes things. anyhow, about me, I'm 29, 6'3", 270 lbs, and i've been fat all my life. I am usually a lot of fun, recent romantic troubles may put a damper on that, but a smile from the right girl can have a profound effect.... speaking of which, I'd love to meet a sexy FFA - i'm good with girls of all sizes, so don't be shy. so long as you feel a genuine need to have my flesh oozing between your fingers, I'm thrilled to hear from you. I live in Toronto, but love costs so much more than plane tickets - i'm very happy/comfortable here, but i'd leave for the right reason. what else about me - i am a big nerdy computer guy (literally - i fix people's computers for work) and i love gaming, although i am without a game at the moment. I listen to music whenever i can, mostly classic rock and alternative. I like to cook, I'm very clean, My favorite dessert is pecan pie. i am attaching a tasteful (sorry) pic for all you lovely ladies to enjoy - if you want to see more, i've got. |

i'm tired of the closed-mindedness of the regular set. also it may be that things here in Toronto are especially bad for the soft and squishy - but it may just be the urban setting - people are waaaay too obsessed with body type. Truly we live in a world where appearances count for more than genuine personal character. I am actually pretty happy for my extra pounds, it makes it easier for me to weed out the undesireables.

1) Welcome! Great to see people unlurk, especially more canadians, and double-plus-especially when they enter talking
2) Toronto is a fairly thin city, at least in the more urban core. In most big cities, the urban part tends towards being a fair bit thinner than the average population. More walking, younger population, more success driven....I've heard various explanations, don't know what is true--but the survey says urban areas are thinner. When you need a change of scene, go to Kitchener some weekend (I've lived in K-W at various points in my life, and it is definately fatter than Ottawa or Montreal at least). Or Belleville (I've only really stopped at the Quinte mall while driving down the 401, but there always seems to be plenty of fat folk at that mall!). Best of luck surviving all the diet and exercise talk. The only problem is that I find in Toronto that when people aren't talking about that they start talking about real-estate 3) What sort of games do you normally take part in? Again, welcome! -Ed

well, i dont really lurk that much - i did dissappear for a while though. I'd like to participate and get some things off my chest.
anyhow, i think the issue with the urban setting has more to do with the relative laziness and apathy that plagues my generation and those younger than me, who have never had to earn anything before, expect everything to be instantaneous, and are unable to see beyond the superficial. they would rather just do whatever everyone else does or imitate a tv character than have an original thought and follow it through - or maybe they're incapable. it seems to me that if a person thinks they need to modify the way they look to find some to love them, then they are serching for someone who loves their appearance, and not necessarily the person inside. at any rate, my problems with the non-accepting sort are done - i have no need to change the world - just focusing on my little patch of it now. as for my gaming habits, they're pretty wide-ranged - generally speaking i like role-playing games, and also classic arcade 2-D action games. favorites include: Ikaruga, resident evil, diablo 2, super mario 64, all the zelda games.....also i've been messing around with WoW, but i don't think im going to stick with it. |

BHM: Welcome!
Yes the non-size-acceptance tends to be particularly strong in our age bracket. I think it is because people look youthful and appearances are on people's minds. I think that is sad, because we are all meant to look different ways and everyone is wasting a lot of time trying to fit themselves into this particular mold. 2D First Person Shooter games are great fun. So is Zelda. I have spent many pleasant afternoons playing with friends... |

Hey - what a great response - i want to thank everyone for making my first post a good one. I'm inspired to start an even better one today. (with lots of fleshy pix)
I will also say that i agree with you Chickadee, it's very sad how superficial people can be, and I'm glad to have found a place for those people who, like me, don't fit into designer clothes and wouldn't care to. well, i'm off to photoshop - it may be that the users of this website like their men heavy, but the server only takes itsy-bitsy jpgs. |
