Default WWE Wrestler- Sherri Martel Dead

Another wrestling tragedy that is under investigation

On June 15, 2007, WWE.com announced that "Sensational" Sherri Martel had died that morning at her mother's residence in Birmingham, Alabama.[7]. Dave Meltzer stated on his Wrestling Observer Live radio show that Martel's passing was not a result of natural causes and that the case is still under investigation by law enforcement. On June 19, 2007, police confirmed that Martel did not die of natural causes, but no foul play is suspected. A cause of death for Martel will not be determined until her autopsy and toxicology reports have been completed. Based on what is known, Martel had gone to bed at her mother's home (where she was living recently) because she wasn't feeling well. Her husband found her unresponsive later that afternoon.

Hi Tony, Thanks for posting this. This is also sad. What is going on? I think Wrestling Guy did speak to the fact that a high number of wrestlers have been dying in an untimely manner.
May She find rest also.
