I suppose it depends on what size you are, lucky you that you can wear the clothes from those places. Asda and M&S go up quite large now, my niece is furious at H&M and a couple of other shops actually taking away their larger lines. I think its scandalous that Top Shop don't do large sizes, shame on them. Im about size 36UK and I can't buy ANYTHING here in shops to fit me. I am stuck with a small line of stuff in one catalogue, and scouring Ebay, and relying on sweet American ladies here to post items to me from the US mail order sites. With regard to mail order, you don't have to have a credit card normally, I mostly use my Switch (Maestro) card when I order online in the UK. Have you tried Simply Be? You can make an account with them and you can pay for your stuff afterwards, at the post office even if you dont have a card to use. I know there is a site that does emo type stuff in larger sizes, I've seen it on here before, i think it's American. If you have an american friend you could ask them to order it for you, and you paypal them the money and the p&p. If you do this, ask them to mark the parcel as "Gift" or "Used Clothing", otherwise you get lumped with a huge customs charge (£35 for me on a £50 jacket a while ago ). |

I have to say that we have a very poor plus-size clothes world here in the uk.Like you say we have evans, shit quality huge prices, then new look,h&m,mark one for some, marks and spark but very limited in shops.I have got a cardi from monsoon, and can wear the largest size in pineapple dance wear, trousers are mega stretchy.
I love torrid and the emo style of clothes and sexy stuff to but it is hard to find here.....it does mean getting stuff over from the states, and i got caught with a customs charge as well!!! Ebay has been great though. I can get a 24-26 sometimes a 22 depends on the fit,but still rubbish choice!! we need torrid here sooooooooo bad!!!! suzy xx ![]() |

I was actually going to make a post asking what stores in the UK sell plus sizes. But after reading the replies to this thread it sounds a bit depressing.
