The entire month between Thanksgiving and Christmas is absolute heaven for a foodee like me. My mother is a fabulous cook and baker who shows no sign of slowing down, she usually makes enough to feed the armies of several small nations, and she doesn't let up until New Year's. And of course there are all the goodies which everybody brings to work. I'm not much for sweets, although I do enjoy cookies, cakes and candy, but only in moderation. And I'm definitely a chocoholic, provided the chocolate isn't overly sweet (Mmmm, dark chocolate
). But by and large, I go for the good stuff, and lots of it. Damn the calories, full speed ahead! ![]() This has been a great week for a glutton and bon vivant like me, and I've been enjoying a near-constant high-calorie buzz. Monday one of our suppliers catered in lunch for everyone in our offices (from Toledo tradition Tony Packo http://www.tonypackos.com ) and of course I ate wayyyy too many Hungarian sausages. Tuesday for our most important client, several of our big muckymucks treated several of their big muckymucks to a sumptuous lunch in a private room at a local restaurant, and luckily I was included amongst our contingent of muckymucks. Wednesday another supplier catered in an Italian lunch for our offices, and I really put away the pasta. Our company Christmas party was yesterday (because many people will be off today) with still more food, and I even went above and beyond the call of duty with a triple-chocolate dessert, a glass of port, and a cigar ("Hey look at Sue smoking a big cigar!"). Okay, I'm not a smoker so I got a bit carried away, but after that triple-chocolate dessert I was no longer responsible for my actions. At least I didn't get up and dance on the tables. Well, today our offices are only about half staffed, so it's my duty to help engulf the leftovers. One dilemma is that I usually get the hiccups about an hour after meals, and this week I've had even more impressive hiccups than usual, but they're worth it! ![]() Can't help it. I'm a foodee, and a good, well-balanced and LARGE meal gives me a buzz which is almost erotic. It's an electric feeling that's hard to describe, but my nipples get hard just thinking about all that food. I've been so aroused that every evening this week I've practically tackled my husband when I walked in the door (luckily Art says that my hiccups add a whole new dimension to sex; must be the extra jiggles). ![]() |

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who gets this way over food! Thanks for sharing! At least now I know I'm not the only one!

Oh by far my favorite part of Christmas is the food and the ability to eat it without much guilt (who's kidding who, no guilt!). Forget presents, I want the food. The day after Thanksgiving others may be shopping, but I am planning my Christmas Eve menu. We host and I love to make as much from scratch as possible. Of course, during all this planning, I need to talk about the food with anyone who will listen. Plus, thinking about it makes me want to cook more. So we have been eating quite well lately.
Plus I offered to make cookies to send up north with relatives visiting other relatives, for my husbands people at work and of course for us. So about 30 dozen later, I am finally cookied out. But I will be making lots of goodies and other deserts over the weekend to be ready for Monday evening. Believe me, my husband knows if he wants to bribe me for anything, he brings me something good to eat. I am definitely a foodee. So *raising glass* here here to all the foodees, let us rejoice.

So, like an addict waiting for their fix, I am home eagerly anticipating my husbands return from the Walmart with some of the ingredients I need for my Christmas Eve celebration. I can not wait to start cooking tomorrow. I spent the entire day erasing all evidence of the prior cookie making spree that I was on this week.
My kitchen is gleaming and ready for me to begin tomorrow. Of course I will be sending him back out tomorrow to the "better" food store for some other ingredients that they have and I need. As usual I will make too much food, but I can't really help it. This year there will only be six of us and I have ten different dishes and two desserts plus aforementioned cookies. Oh well, I never turned away a leftover, that's for sure. Thank goodness my husband helps me out with the shopping and the other stuff around here. It leaves me much more time to make the food and actually enjoy what I am doing. I wish I had a digital camera so I could take pictures of it for you. Oh well, maybe Santa will bring one. (I doubt it) Well, I hope you all enjoy your feasts as much as I anticipate appreciating mine. I will let you know how everyone else liked it. Christine ![]()

Hey Christine! That is one swell hubby running out for the groceries. I need one of those
![]() I am very sad that you don't have a digital camera. Maybe one of your guests has one they can bring? OK, I am obsessed with food pics. I admit it! Happy cooking, and happier eating. It's good to see you here, btw!
