Can anyone help me out? I've come up short with places to find a kimono or yukata to fit a woman (size 30). Does anyone know where I might be able to purchase one?
Thanks!

Actually I have been to Japan recently. And I must say you: the best yukatas and kimonos are only in Japan. Of course you can use japanese yahoo or http://www.google.co.jp/ to find ecommerce shops. They are closer to real Japanese Yukatas. BUT still the best ones may be too much costy. This is Japan and Japan is a very expensive country.Yet i love it.

A simple adaptation of a Japanese kimono shouldn't be too hard to make. I've thought about making one for myself. It would also be relatively inexpensive.

Check out Cosmates. Here is an example of one fancy kimono
For the FanPlusFriend line, there is a custom size option at the bottom of the page ![]()

Just found this online. The traditional kimonos shown look like they may be easy to sew up without a pattern.
http://www.asianideas.com/kimonorobes.htm I love Japanese culture. Does that make me a Nippophile? |
