Just curious as i know no one else who likes it ... but maybe GLBTQ BBWs BHMs ad FAs do!?

I often get told my taste in music is eclectic and well it probably is, my taste is all over the place I enjoy many many types of music my iTunes library has 67667 tracks, goodness knows how many CDs I have o.o

Always be willing to listen to new stuff I say, I pick up recommendations wherever I find them!

A beautiful way of putting it. A lot of people i play that track for say it gives them a headache but it really soothes me after attacking me somehow.. and i always felt that.. but you put it perfectly!

For the first time I listened carefully to the lyrics of "Penny for Your Thoughts" by The Joel Plaskett Emergency. A chunk of which goes:

I like doo-wop and the blues
I like heavy metal songs
Tell me why I got to choose
Which side of your fence I'm on?

Are you with me, or are you leaving?
Are you argumentative?
You all want some true believin;, why'd you act so t-t-tenative?

Don't you act so sentimental, kid you've got some nerve.
The reason I like the instrumentals is cause they haven't got any words.

(doo-wop-wop-wop)
Penny for your thoughts, music for your money
(doo-wop-wop-wop)
Show me what you got, play it for me honey

I like Johnny Walker Red, I like being juxtaposed.
I like seeing Johnny's dad wearing Johnny's mother's clothes.
I like the prince and you like the king, we both like the way Freddie Mercury sings.
We're in too deep to call this thing a fling, so which one of you's gonna let me swing?

Which certainly has some......hints.

Yeah, I listen to Eurodance, Italdisco, Vocal Trance and some other stuff in between.

One recommendation, Co.Ro feat Taleesa; Because The Night and I Know(There's Something Going On) were excellent covers. Early nineties excellence.

Athens Boys Choir's "Fagette" certainly qualifies as queer PLUS he makes reference to girls with the chubby chub.

The Blow and Tender Forever are two eXXXcellent bands worth checking out.

Default Ahhhhh

I this thread! As a musician, I listen to anything and everything. I truly mean that. My favorites aren't necessarily queer either. Queen was my first "favorite" band (during my teen years - was really feeling the angst and Freddie Mercury helped me realize that it was okay to be queer or bi or whatever).

Elliott Smith is my current obsession and has been for a long time. If you know me, then you know that! I also like Beck, Fiona Apple, Bob Marley, Sublime, Colin McCaffrey (he's my guitarist, google him), Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Mama Cass, The Band, Feist, and many more artists that I just can't think of. Oh Adele, a BBW, she's pretty good. Amy Winehouse...hmmm I can't keep going cuz there are so many artists I love or draw inspiration from. I even own hip-hop albums (50-cent) and have been known to throw down some rhymes. It doesn't quite sound right hearing gangsta rap come out of my mouth, but if Eminem can do it, I can too!

Oh and of course, each day I listen to myself sing or beatbox or just make music in general. Music is my life.

Default Fattie Songs

You know, there are a lot of songs out there that have size-positive messages. I can't think of ALL of them, but why don't we try and name ones we can think of. I'll start.

- Love Handles by Keller Williams
- Big Bottom by Spinal Tap (I realize this is a joke-song, but I've heard a cover of it before by an indie musician and I LOVE it!)
- Fat Girls on Bicycyles (if you haven't seen this video it is kinda cute, but other BBW/FA people have found it offensive - not me though - I can take a joke)
- Fat Bottomed Girls (one of my favorite karaoke tunes - I always get hit on AFTER I sing it)

I'll refrain from adding Fergie's "Big Girls Dont' Cry" to the list because even though I know some people find the song appealing, I never did. Here's why: she's not a "big girl" and she doesn't know whether or not we cry. I know, I know, she's talking about being a grown-up but I loathe that tune. Sorry!

I've heard other songs by blues artists about fat women, but I can't think of any of them for the life of me. Oh well. Ciao!
