Sticky Sandals...
Genius or ridiculous?
Have you ever heard of these? Anyone ever try them?
I have a hard time finding shoes that are wide and roomy enough in the toe. I guess these would eliminate that problem! I'm wondering if they stay on well and won't fall off. Also, I'd like to know if the bottom is really stiff or if it moves with your foot.
I'm almost curious enough to actually try these!

I have dogs. I have lots and lots of dog hair. I know what these shoes would look like after an hour at my hour, or my yard, or my car, or near my dogs. They would be hair shoes. How attractive a thought.

And yes, we do our best to try to keep the hair cleaned up. Hubby blows off the porch at least once a day. We vacuum the inside of our house and I pick up hair balls constantly. We brush dogs outside, but during shedding season (which is now) we can easily get a grocery sack full of hair from the chow every time we brush him. No sticky shoes at M2M house.

all I could think as I looked at them was how long will they take to break down and how bad for the enviroment they would be

hmmm think Id rather go barefoot

Moore, I bet it would look like you were wearing a pair of fuzzy slippers after a while. lol

They even have disposable sandals too, for short term wear. It looks like they sell them to businesses. Maybe to get around the 'no shirt, no shoes, no service' rule?

I bought a pair but never wore them. I may break them out this summer though. What I'd really like to find is some sticky stuff to put on the bottom of my feet, like double sided tape or something. I have a couple of pairs of dainty cute sandals I like to wear. Problem is that the inside of the sandal is dry and slippery. So slippery that I slip around INSIDE the sandal. I walk around in them gingerly because I'm afraid I might slip and fall. If I got some kind of adhesive material to put on the bottom of my foot this might hold them in place similar to how these sticky sandals work.

This is kind of the strangest thing I've ever seen lol. I can't imagine the thought of my shoe sticking to my foot- eww just makes me feel weird!

Maybe a few strips of something like this to give you more grip?

A lot of sandals are impregnated with anti-bacterials now so unless they're cheep cheep cheep that's quickly becoming a non-issue.

Lilly--Dr. Schols makes non-slip inserts for heels--wondering if that could help your sandal issue.....

These are quite interesting and i could see them being a trend if they are not to costly. But i think the place they would be used the most is the beach. But i think the sand would ruin the stickiness?

Unfortunately these are thong sandals and are completely open so the Dr. Schols most likely wouldn't work in them. The tape looks interesting though Red. I may have to give that a try.

These seem perfect for road trips in warm weather, as well as light walking around on rough or lumpy surfaces, like stone or rock. As long as they don't feel sticky like dried sugary liquid on a hard floor, I think I'd like these.

Of course, now that I've said this, I'll go back and find that they are intended for the ladies only, leaving me with that mild feeling of embarassment.

I would be willing to try these because the toe strap thing in flip flops irritates the heck out of me. Don't be embarassed, they list sizes for men and women.

The toe thing hurts my feet too. I once found a pair of thongs that didn't hurt my feet. Only $5 in Payless some yrs ago. Then I lost them after my dear hubby passed in March 2009, and I had to move in with my folks due to lack fo money so I could rent my house out to get some income. I wish I knew if I still had them or not...

I am very sorry for your loss, Cheryl. I lost my dad in April 2009 and I am still having a hard time with it. I will check out Payless for flip flops that don't kill my feet. Thank you for the tip. It is going to hit 100 plus

here soon and flip flops do come in handy.

Thanks so much for the condolences and support. So sorry about your dad. I am so lucky to have mine at 89. I'll warn ya, I haven't seen any thongs like the ones I found in Payless, in there since I found those. I think I found a once in a lifetime gem...

Thank you. You are very lucky to still have your father at 89 and I am sure that you cherish him. Those comfy thongs were definately a rare find! Every summer I go on a futile quest for comfy thongs that won't kill my feet.

Yeah, and my dad is a bhm. Wears anything from a 42-44 to size 50 depending on whether he gained or lost weight. SO when they said big folks can't live to be old, I know they are wrong...

i'm fascintated by these, would love to try them. I dream of walking barefoot, yet have princess and the pea feet(littlest thing will debilitate me if i step on it,lol) Not sure if i'll order them, yet i kinda want to.

I too have 'princess and the pea' feet but if I could try them out free or if they were inexpensive I might give them a shot.

Edit: Only $10 a pair. Yeah.....okay.

In the mid 80s they had these same things, called them Cheap Charlies Sole Suckers. They worked great until the sticky stuff got dirty and just didn't stick. Think about an old post-it-note. Once the integrity of the sticky stuff is breached, no more sticky. I tried them and found them to be hot hot hot. I like my feet to get some air circulating around them.
