Default Yahoo Groups Down

Sorry to say that Yahoo took down my RV Toons group and The Gainers Club which I co-moderated with PlumpLin. We weren't given advance notice of the removals by Yahoo. Lin had her group for ten years and mine was about the same length of time too. On top of that Yahoo discontinued my email address as RVGleason. The least Yahoo could have done was give us the courteousy of telling us so we could have made necessary changes or at least save some of the photos, artwork and messages. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I have a good number of my Tiny cartoons saved on my computer and here in the Dimensions files, and I'm thinking of starting an account on the Deviant Art site to repost my Tiny cartoons, giving folks outside of Yahoo a chance to view them. I'll let you know what I decide.

So sorry to hear that. I loved that group and enjoyed watching her get fatter over the years.

I checked on Yahoo and saw that several other groups were terminated as well. I was a co-moderator on the Cartoon Gluttony 2 group, and since they terminated my RV email I can no longer get into the group. I can't even rejoin because the one who would have had to approve my request was me!

Not very happy with Yahoo right now.

By the way, if anyone wants to email me, I put in an alternate email in my profile where I can be reached. You can also PM me here on Dimensions.

You probably should. Frankly, I am surprised the Yahoo groups lasted this long. Those guys are truly Yahoos.

Because Yahoo unceremoniously terminated my RV Toons group, I just joined and started an account with deviantArt and am posting my Tiny cartoons there. I posted a few now and see how it goes before I post more.

The group I ran since I was 18 has also been deleted. Guess yahoo groups were a dying breed.

I don't remember the last time I even visited the Yahoo groups I'm in, let alone posted anything.

I was a member of about 30 groups; hadn't checked in for a while.

After reading your post, I went to take a look. 5 of them were left. The rest gone with the wind...

I just went over there and unfortunately my groups still appear to be open. I forgot all about them.
