Bellevue for a long time; originally Yakima. Uses for that area: botique breweries, river rafting, and backpacking. Used to think that I'd never go back.

Hi Seattle people!

I hope you don't mind an invader from the North asking a question... are there any social events that one could attend in your city or area? There doesn't seem to be much up here that I can find... or if you could direct me to a thread with some info, I'd appreciate it!

I second this notion... I was just lookin at stuff in the northwest and everybody in this thread needs to check out the difference in threads between ours and Portland's. Here, we all say, "Hi, I'm from Seattle, anyone else from Seattle?" There, they say, "Hey, let's all meet up sometime. Here's the link for plans." I mean that may have been the goal all along, for us to be different, but personally I think it'd be really cool to be all cohesive like that.
But then again, I'm really not one to talk, I don't post that often and have yet to suggest a constructive idea.

Indeed. Seattle (or the Pacific Northwest in general) should create its own SA scene. It would be better for people to get to know each other.
