When the time came to take them out, we were both horrified to discover they wouldn't unroll (probably because each hunk of hair had been wrapped around one about 30 times). She just about killed me and lost a good deal of hair as I spent a couple hours taking them out.

Apparently I didn't learn well about using tiny rollers on long hair because a few years ago I used a small round brush (like this one) to try to blow dry my own long hair and ended up with it tangled all the way to my scalp. The moral: Long hair and tiny roller things do not mix!
THOSE BRUSHES... so, back when I was in daycare... I was probably 4, maybe 5. One of my favorite activities was brushing my teacher's hair. One day she brought a round brush, similar to the one you posted, and I thought it would curl her hair if I wrapped it around. So I did. Her hair was probably down to her rear end, and by the time I was done, the brush was stuck to the side of her head. I got a time out for that one.
