I always thought snarky was an insult. But then again, I was the 'whippersnapper' who received it from 'curmudgeons'. Sadly, I never had the word 'sass' directed at me, so maybe I'm just a 'pickle'. Or is that a 'pip'?

Snarky:

A "middle-aged" woman said something at the expense of Em or someone she values, so she "snarks" out at the age category.

Snarky comments can certainly be funny, and can also be hurtful if aimed at the right target...so I certainly don't blame the tone if you're upset about something. But you know damn well that your age-related comments (not the first time, Em, you've dragged it out over and over again when you feel us old ladies are acting out of our "assigned" role) are basically just you feeling persecuted or ganged up on in some way. And usually not the case, many of us have gone to bat for you more often than not.

But hey... if you're having a bad day, fine. We all have them.
