What I love about Dimensions Forums

(in no particular order)

1. At any given time, hundreds of people are feeling joy, pain, humor, outrage, annoyance, sympathy, empathy, disgust, lust, satisfaction, comraderie...all at once. Who needs therapy?

2. I can decide what to wear, what to have for dinner, find out about current events, have a laugh or two, make new friends, catch up on current gossip, and watch two (or more) people duke it out, all in one fell swoop, just by logging in.

3. There's a wide variety of topics, and they don't generally overlap, which means I can choose to steer clear of things I find objectionable and enjoy myself, as can just about everyone else, regardless of interest or orientation.

4. People, in general, get along (outside of Hyde Park

), and when there are disagreements, either people agree to disagree and they handle the issues in a mature way, or the mods are quick to put an end to it, leaving the rest of the board in relative peace.

5. I can reach out and find someone who understands what I'm going through and will lend a shoulder.

6. We are always eager to share each others celebrations and griefs.

7. We have excellent moderators who try very hard to ensure that respect and fairness are maintained.

I thought of another on the way home:

As rainy said, it's provided for free. But we all have the option of making it what it is with very little moderation. We can give back in so many ways by creating a thriving, productive little online society by being thankful that it's here and realizing that it's a gift that's been given to us and not taking it for granted. One of these ways is by having the option to give back monetarily, which brings those who can a few added perks. It's the way of life. But you know what? Those who can't afford/have chosen not to give back monetarily are still getting a heck of a good place to hang out online. I'd say none of us have much to complain about.

There fact that there are so many wonderful people in this community is quite special to me. Makes me think fat folks are just better to be around to be honest. I also love the pics all over the boards....Where else can you find so many pretty women in the same place? The fact that the people that come to these forums "get it" ("It" being the whole ssbbw/bbw/fa thing) to some extent is a wonderful thing too. Most folks here can relate to each other pretty well for the most part

There's much more to this place for me than I can list here. Thanks for keeping this community a thriving vibrant one to all of you

The place makes me happy that I am a part of it really sums it up for me.

Ditto! The forums are all about the people for me. I've met some pretty cool ones here and they've helped stave away some nights that could have been lonely otherwise.

With only a few exceptions, I find the people here to be genuine, caring and just good peeps. This isn't something one finds every day, and I value that. Additionally, most of the people I have met from this board in person have been fun, decent human beings, and I have made some wonderful real-life friendships that I treasure. And some are my closest friends.

I'm going to get to meet Casey next month!

I met the love of my life on this board, and we will be marrying next year. And at the wedding I will be meeting more people I have met from this board that I haven't met in person yet.

This place is a very important part of my journey. I will always be grateful to Conrad for the things above.

There is always something interesting here. Some of it might be petty, disappointing, and a pain in the ass to moderate (think: Hyde Park). There might also be troll invasions to quell, but all that is in the minority, and it's never boring here!

People like Joy Joy, who are positive and who make us think of the good things more than the bad.

I'll second (third?) saying "the people." There are great, funny, kind, wonderful people here.

Also...it's toughened me up a bit. I don't get my feelings hurt as badly or as much as I used to. I'm getting better at letting things roll off my back. I'm getting more confident at giving my opinion, too.

There's a lot to love about the Dimensions Forums. I know that I don't take this place for granted. I appreciate how folks here, do in fact, help out others in good times or bad times. Multitudes of kindness here, no doubt!

This place does have a whole heck of a lot of intelligent, deep, thought-provoking posters too.
