Default DelMarVa Delectables?

I'll be roadtripping down the DelMarVa Peninsula at Christmas, and I haven't taken it by land in years, so I'm wondering what food stops to make. I already know we'll need to sample the broasted chicken and the sweet potato ham biscuits, if we want to experience the indigenous flavor of the Eastern Shore.

Anybody have any suggestions?

We will, of course, be stopping at the Owl Motel and Diner, to witness the portrait of Governor George Wallace on display amidst the shiny ceramic owls in the lobby. But I don't care how good their pies are, I ain't leaving any money there.

Sandie and I got married in Elkton, MD back in 1993. That night we had dinner at The Bayard House in Chesapeake City. It was one of the BEST meals either of us ever had. And when the full moon rose over the canal that night, it was unbelievable.
