These are sold only in a B-width, but I wear a WW and they fit just fine width wise because they're stretchy mesh on top. Lengthwise they seem to run short. If you're a half size, order up not down. They also come in an apricot and a green color. I like the way they look on the foot better than other swim shoes I've had.

Those are very cute. Does the strap across the top just stretch or does it fasten somehow?
Also, the stitching around the foot opening, does that stretch as well? Thanks!

I think that over-the-foot part is the only place where the fit might be snug, but there's still quite a bit of stretch in there. If you measure around your foot at where you think that part would hit you, I'll shove something equal to that size in there and see if it fits lol. You guys are so funny, and such enablers. I've gotta get me a pair of those too.
I just love the way fat girls share and help each other out. I just wish we all lived closer so we could all get together more often and just hang out. It would be so wonderful!!

Since we're all buying the same stuff we might look like matched sets lol.
It is a very cool resource. |

Not having these is partly what's kept me from using a pool near me as often as I'd like...it has these (beautiful) blue tiles all around that I just slide all over, all the way to the dressing rooms...! Feel like I'm skating. Not in a good way. I love how we all share clothin info around here too. Without getting too nerdy about it, I'd say it's actually a very powerful and empowering force we unleash when we do so. Not sure people always get that--I think they think it's just clothes chatter. But a customer base who's fat AND wants to look good AND isn't ashamed of being fat AND wants the best for themselves...a very powerful thing. Yes, very nerdy, sorry. Let's go swimmin, Sandi! |

Glad to help, Liz. I haven't tried these in the water yet, but they feel very tractiony. They also feel like they keep the foot from sliding laterally because the rubber sole extends up the sides. With other mesh shoes I slide all over.

Annmarie, I buy water shoes every year from drugstores or a place like Target. I have a super high instep and fat, long feet and they fit fine. They usually run around $8 bucks. I always purchase the men's shoes, because they run longer.

I don't use any water shoes for my water aerobics classes.....don't slide without.........Rainy.......why do you use them.....for hygenic reasons or sliding issues? Just wondering! LOL!

In the pool I wear them because as I'm jumping around during class and pushing off the floor of the pool I tend to cut my feet. Don't ask me how. I think if I were doing deep water aerobics where you didn't touch the bottom I wouldn't bother in the pool. |

I am bumping this thread since it is that time of year for pool fun. I highly recommend these pool shoes!

I always thought water shoes were weird, even when I owned some way back when I was a child. Now I actually see the use to them! That's an awesome idea! Most people around here get them for when they want to go swimming in the river because of the rocks and broken items laying at the bottom that they can get hurt on, but for at a public pool, that's actually a really smart thing that I never would have thought of! Now these types of shoes just got a whole lot cooler in my book, lol.
