Vixen aka bitch cat. Actually she is sweet to those she trusts, she just has evil siamese eyes. She got the bitch cat moniker because she is quite vocal about things

Great idea, Chippy! My b/f bought me a purple parakeet for Christmas, and I got a purple cage with purple accessories (can you guess what my favorite color is?).
When a neighbor of mine went into a nursing home last year, I "inherited" her parakeet, whose name was "Billy." I enjoyed his frequent singing so much, I renamed him "Pavi," short for Pavarotti. Unfortunately, my aide took the cage out to the lobby one day to clean it with him in it, and at the same time she opened the cage door, someone opened the lobby door, and Pavi flew away, never to be seen again. I was devastated, as I'd become very attached to him, and simply couldn't bring myself to buy another one. When my b/f asked me what I wanted for Christmas, I decided it was time to give it another try. I called For Birds Only to see if they had any purple ones, and on Christmas Eve, we went to fetch Pavitoo. This store is amazing, and has been run by a family of bird lovers for many years. The whole time we were there, we were assailed by one bird or another saying "Hello" and some other greetings. They have some fabulous exotic beauties, but I don't have room for anything bigger than a budgie. I'll see if I can take a couple of pix and post them here later, especially for the purple lovers among us. He is very pretty, with the fullest "sideburns" I've ever seen on a 'keet (don't I sound just like a proud new mom?). He was very shy (probably traumatized) at first, and sat in one place and didn't move for hours the first couple of days. I kept him next to me for a few days, then moved him to his special area. He's slowly settling in, has done some preening, found himself in the mirror finally when he worked up the courage to explore his cage (he went wild trying to find the 'keet behind the mirror!), and today he's actually doing some singing without benefit of simply replying to the birds outside. Right now, TURN THE BEAT AROUND is playing on the radio, and he's chirping away to it, and dancing around on his perch. Oh, and he eats a LOT, so that should keep this thread on topic. I believe he'll bring me a lot of joy for many years to come. Pets have a way of doing that, don't they? Thanks for giving me this opportunity to brag about my new baby!~Bountifully, Fuchsia

We have two cats. Breann--the black one--IS a bitch kitty. When Frank and I were first dating, she didn't like me. She would use the litter box and not "cover" if I was there. We would then shut her in the bathroom with her own stink for a while. She learned.
The tux is Lacy, and she's our ditzy kitty. |

This is my other pussycat, Mudder. Just in case you were wondering, her name is a long story.
She's the one who really rules the roost, puts Tiger in his place on many occassions. If she's in 'one of her moods' she'll lay in the middle of the hallway and make Tiger hug the way and 'crab walk' past her. He'll almost get by her and think he's safe, then she'll strick out and grab is back leg or tail. Scars him out of another one of his lives. It's the funniest thing to watch!

So many cute pics...I do love the turlte Larry. I have had a couple box turtles in the past. As well as mice, rats, gerbil (just one...they are evil), many hamsters, guinea pig, fish, newts and dogs and cats. At moment just a dog and cat. Well that cat is mine...and the dog is my parent's baby.
One pic of the dog using me as a way to look out while driving down the road in a van and the other is the cat sitting next to the dog's dish and the dog coming over to eat just to spite the cat. Their names are Heidi (dog) and Girlcat. Stacey Now I have a question....I get how to do these attach pics. But how do I get them to show up in my message and not just be a link? Thanks |

Dave, Stinky certainly looks as though he's a character. Great photos!
Dreamer, if you don't mind me answering your question about the pics, I had the same question myself not so long ago. If you upload more than one photo at a time they always become a link. That's why I added two posts to this thread.

Snickers the dachshund was brought to us by Santa, and Chyna the cat has fallen in love with her as much as we have.
![]() However, Chihuly didn't like her present from my mother nearly as much. ![]() Captain Happy was very pleased to have us home again after our holiday trip! ![]() I love my little family ![]()

I also usually center mine (do you know how to do this?). If I want to add more images, I click the space bar once after the first image is up, then repeat the procedure until I have everything posted that I want. I try to keep my images no higher than 400 pixels and no wider than 600 pixels, so they can be seen in their entirety on the screen when it's fully opened up, so you don't have to scroll up or down or sideways. You can resize them, if necessary, in your photo program, or right at Image Shack. Good luck, and enjoy!~Bountifully, Fuchsia

Okay, as promised in Post #4 above, I took some photos of my budgie right after I cleaned his cage today. I had a lot of fun and frustration figuring out the digital camera my b/f bought me a few months ago. It's not a very good one, but I figure it'll be good to practice with until I can afford to buy the one I want.
These are for all you purple lovers out there. The photo quality's not that great, but I think they'll give you a good idea of what's made me a proud new momma. Full Frontal (the top one also displays in the upper left background the exquisite screensaver I got from Dreaming in Color a couple of years ago): ![]() ![]() Rear Plumage: ![]() From Inside the Cage, then Cropped (just look at those mutton chops!): ![]() A couple more--Side View of Mutton Chops and Cocked Head (dontcha just love it when your pet cocks his/her head? So cute! Almost like they understand what you're sayin'...): ![]() Now that I've shown you more photos than you ever wanted to see of my precious purple parakeet (one of these days I will learn how to make collages!), I hope more of you will post yours. I suspect some are away for the holidays, but hopefully when they get back and play catch up, they'll be generous. After all, how often do we get to brag about our babies?~Bountifully, Foosh

This is my WubbyTubby. Her birth name is Sheila, but she goes by many others. She is a fiteus fateus by breed and has been guilty of shooting off WMD's!
![]() I know her eyes are white, I am still learning the software to my new digi-camara. This one is her boyfriend, (although she will deny this completely) he loves boxes and hiding in them... ![]() As you can see, they both love playing together and really enjoyed the fish-string-necklace they both got for Christmas! ![]() |

Well, I've shared my boys here before, and I DO have other pictures but they're not on this computer... so for now, here they are.
Orange and Grey (guess!). They're brothers, same age, and they came as a set as a gift from my parents. They're just about 2.5 years old, and I love 'em to death. I miss them so much when I have to travel or go away for long. ![]()
