Everyone has that one single piece of clothing that makes them feel good. It could be sexy, or comfy, or warm, or soft, or whatever...that just makes you feel teriffic. It can be a top, dress, pants, sweater, or PJs. It doesn't matter.
What is it and why? Post a pic if you have one! OK...mine lately is a wonderful sweater that I got from Janelle @ Love Your Peaches. I have loved her clothing ever since I featured her in the hardcopy Dimensions fashion column that I produced for many years (and still found online). The sweater is her Olga Jacket, a button front jacket with long sleeves and a wonderful full rounded collar. It is made in a wonderful black and grey tweed sweater knit...and I have worn it so many times this winter! On our trip to Denver it was so handy. I wore it buttoned up as a sweater, and over another top as a jacket. It is soft, warm and totally comfy! Tell me about yours!! ![]()

It's a basic black, slinky straight skirt, lettuce edging, small slit in the back...I wore it on the Maury show a few years ago. It's my first piece of clothing that I bought from a vendor at the NAAFA convention when it was in Cherry Hill NJ. I loved it then, and still love it now.
Ladies, Sandie's clothing line is phenomenal, and you will NEVER regret buying from her. I've attached a picture, not the greatest, but you can surely see how versatile this piece is! Mwuah!! MissStacie

OH my God, I have so many favorites. They are all different, from casual comfy at home things to going out with friends, to pictures only, and sometimes it's just a rare find that doesn't even really fit right. If it's unique, I sometimes just can't resist the buy.
Right now some of my favorites: huge baby pink hoodie from BigDog (actually girl hoodie with kangaroo pocket, over the head variety... love it!), these GREAT camo pants I found that are all girl, with silly little bedazzle-like details on the pockets AND across the whole ass (big ol butterfly on the butt), ALL of my Avenue Lite jeans (I think I would end up in a mental ward if something happened to my jeans), my maryjane shoes (mentioned in another thread), all of my LB bras (they rock my boobie world), some amazing little cami set I picked up a while back that has a great graphic circle/geometric design and it's brown with pink, the dress I wore for New Years... LOVE it!, my two favorite winter coats (one a pink wool pea from LB last season, other a new grey w/pink plaid coat from Zaftique that I got for xmas).... And something I wear just about everyday when I'm bumming around at home (thank GOD I don't have a boyfriend, this thing will have to be burned when I get one -- hahahah when). Anyway, it's a GIANT Ralph Lauren Polo zip up grey hoodie (about a men's 7x I think?). It's hideous... lol, so big I look like a motor home, but soooo warm and comfy at home, pockets big enough to keep candy and tissues. lol (sorry, I'm sick, tissues on the brain)Sorry, I could go on forever.

My cat's land velour tank top. Four years ago, when zaftique was in its infancy, my sister ran across the tee in the clearance section. She told me to go and look at it. She knew it was right up my alley! She bought for me as a gift. It's black, long with kittens playing with balls of yarn. Cat's land is written in bold, red bubble lettering all over the tank. This shirt has received more comments and remarks than anything else I've worn. People love it and want to know where I bought it!
Here is a photo of me at a party with the shirt. I'm drunk and tired! ![]() Another fave is one from torrid, a pink ringer t-shirt of an x-ray cat(another gift): ![]() Alas, I wish I had photos of my ultra fab clothing from size queen. I have a cute wrap skirt with ice cream cones, really sexy slip dresses and a red wallpaper print skirt. Perhaps when I get a digital camera, I'll take photos of those outfits. They are really unique and she deserves all the publicity and accolades! (yes I had more than one favorite ![]()

Hmm i myself probably have a few pieces, ofne of the newer ones being this GREAT pair of pajama that AnnMarie got me for Christmas...They are just SO cute, super comfy, and I feel great in them, of course I went to look for another pair because I know they come in another color, and they are discontinued on Amazon and I even googled the manufacturer and no one else sells them. Of course, thats my luck....
I have a favorite sweater that is probably many years old, and although I had the same sweater in another color, same size, I didnt take to it like this one....its my favorite, its warm, brown and a turtle neck sweater.... And lastly is my maroon Just My Size zip up sweatshirt, I dont know that there are any great qualities about this sweatshirt, its just the only one I own, so it keeps me warm daily, although I was eyeing AnnMaries Pink Big Dog sweatshirt this weeekend!! Miss Toodles, I adore that top pic of you, you gorgeous diva, you!
![]() For something warm, I love my jacket. When I first got it it was too small for me to wear. It's really too big for me now, but I hear that I feel like a teddy bear in it, it keeps me very warm, and is so comfy I can't seem to give it up until I get something better, as it's my only warm coat anyway: ![]() For something soft, I have a black sweater that is form-fitting and feels like cashmere. I feel great in it. For great fit and sexiness, I love my blue jeans from the Avenue. They fit perfectly, feel great on, and make me feel good -- and sexy -- when I wear them. For softness, sexiness, and all-around feel good, this dark chocolate stretch velvet, form-fitting, floor-length dress from Peggy Lutz. I wore it on Christmas when we went out to dinner, which is when this pic was taken: ![]() I'd love to see more pics! ![]() Sandie, which coat of Janelle's are you talking of? Her stuff is wonderful. I have a boucle knit sweater I bought from her a few years ago. It *really* swims on me, so that I look like someone's grandmother in it, but it's my comfort sweater that I wear on those days when I just want to be comfy and damn the paparazzi! ![]()

My favorite single piece is a beautiful long dress made just for me by Persephone of Persephone Plus. I wear it every week at least! It is velvet with a subtle pattern of gold roses.
Love Persephone! My second favorite is every piece of Peg Lutz clothing I own. I stocked up on Ebay last year. Check out this drape lapel coat (the one on the right). Oh my lord, I love clothes! |

Both of these are fabulous, moonvine.
![]() I love clothes, too. I think that at least part of it is that when growing up, you couldn't find any plus-size clothing, so I was forced, as a girl in grade school and then high school, to wear these horrid clothes made for older women and with no style at all. Nothing cute and trendy was available to me, just crap with horrid prints and terrible design -- the most unflattering things imaginable. So now I'm very conscious of what I wear, and even though I cannot afford many very nice things, I haunt clearance racks and find enough compatible pieces to have a decent wardrobe and look pretty well put together.

My favorite is not really an item of clothing, but a pair of zipper boots I bought just this past summer. I wear them almost every day. VERY comfortable and SO me. :-)
![]() Next on the list is a pair of stretchy boot cut jeans I bought from the Lane Bryant store years ago. They don't have a zipper, just a brown leather string lacing the front to keep them closed and I love them. ![]() Trailing close behind is this black sweater I've had for years from Lane Bryant the store. It originally had roll cuffs sewn up but I took the stitching out and let the sleeves go long to almost my fingertips. It makes me feel so cozy, warm and comfortable. ![]()

I bought a cheap set of t-shirt material top and bottom YEARS ago, with Mickey Mouse on the top. It's torn, holes all over it.
When I had my sweetie with me, I could put on the nicest sexy nighties, negligees, etc....nothing. But if I put on Mickey, he was all over me. Maybe it was my attitude when I had Mickey on, but whatever, it worked.

I took out the images to make this shorter--Tina, you strike me as having very nice taste in jewelry. I forget that a necklace usually improves an outfit and I need to wokr on that. Ever since I started making jewelry in earnest, I've stopped wearing it (save for rings). I have 4 holes in my ears (3 in one ear, 1 in the other) and they've been naked for a few weeks. Tsk tsk. anyway, where was I going with this? I don't know. You look like...what's her name, too. Mommas and the papa's. I assume you hear that a lot? |

I loved looking at all of you. I can't post a pic, but will add to the list of fav clothing items:
My favorite current piece is my "Isabel" dress from Persephone Plus. It is part black stretch velvet, part black challis. It's a really beautiful dress, and I feel beautiful when I wear it. About ten years ago, I had a dress from Plus Woman that I wore almost to death. It was an empire waist, sleeves to the elbow, thick black velour number that came almost to my ankles. I wore it with black opaque stockings and little black boots and always felt so good and comfy when I wore it. Repeated washings faded the black to charcoal gray, and it ended up wrapped around a beloved kitty when we had to put him down. (our kitties are always buried in something really soft and warm.....) You guys know I'm home most of the time; I have quite a collection of old, fading, stretched out knit jumpers and dresses that I pop on over a long nightgown for warmth and coverage. These comprise my at-home wardrobe! very cozy and comfortable. I would love to have more Persephone dresses, they are well made and so beautiful. However, on my retirement pension, they are kinda out of reach, darn it all! |

It is the Olga Jacket, made of a sweater knit. It is just big and cozy and warm and soft. It is perfect for those days that you just want to be enveloped in something wonderful.

Carol, I have that black velour Plus Woman dress you're talking about (although it's not ten years old), except it has longer sleeves than you describe. It's now also so large on me that I cannot wear it any longer (*whimper*), and it's still in great shape. I'm thinking of selling it on eBay. Oh, Sandie, that's a nice one. You know what I'd love? A big ol' chenille sweater -- pullover. Large but still flattering.

Plain and simple, blue jeans. I wear them all the time, dressing 'em up or down, they always work for me.
