BHM cowboy actor Wilfred Brimley has apparently been supplanted as television's voice of Adult-Onset Diabetes(perhaps in the wake of Katrina, n'est pas?)by The Delta! Size Acceptance is on the March!

I just think they probably thought she was younger and prettier than Wilfred....and might "sell" more diabetes equipment.

I have sort of lost track of Delta Burke. I recall the days when she was this exceedingly gorgeous former beauty queen who then plumped up some, and then some more during her time in "Designing Women" where she played Suzanne Sugarbaker, the flippant queen-bee man magnet even though by that time she had definitely already crossed the line from voluptuous to fat. Her comedic talents earned her another show where she had this ghastly blond hair. That tanked. Then she did some fashion stuff and these days I only hear about her every now and then.

It's too bad that, almost without fail, beautiful actresses who become fat then engage in this humiliating see-saw where at times they claim to embrace their size and proclaim their happiness, just to then engage in drastic weight loss programs or even WLS with lots of self-mocking and diet product commercials.
