Default Raiding the fridge...creative dinners

Hey all! I haven't been around much because my computer had to be fixed, but everything's OK now, so here I am! I wanted to celebrate my computer being fixed by ordering in some food, and surfing on dims tonight....but alas I cannot do that with the abundance of random ingredients in my kitchen, and my low bank account!

So, I decided to make a creative dinner. I'm currently sauteeing some onions and spinach, grinding up some stale bread to make crumbs, and I plan to mix this together with some gorgonzola cheese and and egg, and then stuff it into some mushrooms! I whipped up some curry butternut squash soup the other day as side, or I may make some pasta if I'm more in the mood for that as a side dish.

What's your most random dinner that turned out great?

Kitchen Sink Soup.

Keep a large resealable plastic container in your freezer to store leftovers. After meals, add leftover meat, potatoes, vegetables, rice, noodles, gravies and sauces—almost anything except dairy-based items. When the container is full, empty it into a soup pot and add water. Season to taste with herbs and spices, adding broth and additional water if needed. This yields a wonderful “kitchen sink” soup, and you never end up with the same soup twice!

Best soups ever!
