Default Million Calorie Club

We've all seen The 500 Club, 600 Club, etc, based on members' weight in
pounds. With fat containing 3500 calories per pound, 1000,000 calories
would be in 286 lbs of fat. A person 286 lbs or more above "ideal weight"
could be a member of the Million Calorie Club. Damn, I'm close, myself!

Cool

For some reason I thought this thread would about how long it would take to consume a million calories, which translates to between 240 and 1100 lbs. of food assuming the least calorific thing you could try would be skinless grilled chicken breast at just under 58 calories per ounce and the most is straight lard at roughly 254.7 ... though, upon further reflection, iceberg lettuce has about three calories per ounce. Oh well, it makes for fun math.

I saw somewhere on the internet today, that a
typical adult will eat about a million calories in
a whole year.

Math wasn't fun for me, either, and it was hard until
I got advanced in electronics and had to start using
some math.

If there were a more concise way to know what I should weigh, I'd be tickled to figure out if I could be in this club (my guess is I'm there, btw), but so many different sources say I should way so many different amounts.

I agree, Rebecca. The best I could guess would be the middle of the
"ideal weight" range for a person's height, but for me, since I'm
large framed, the top of the range. Then, even with all the concern
there is about weight, there is still no scientific method of even
determining what an individual's ideal weight would be.
