Today, I was on my way to the salon after work, and decided to stop into Dress Barn for a quick looksee. Someone here has been asking me about clothing and make up of late, so I decided to pay more attention. I found 2 pairs of pants which might work. I was down a size from my usual (though I don't usually shop there, so I mean in general), which can't be accurate b/c my fat ass is only getting fatter. But when I was turned with my head over my shoulder, looking at my ass, I was reminded yet again: damn, I have a great ass! AND I have unfettered access to it.

Now I just need better shoes.

oh good lord, now i remember my point.

so ok, that store is hit or miss with me, mostly miss. very few natural fabrics, very 'old' to me, and stuffy.

but I saw a shirt in there today that...the mind reels. It was this scarlet purple monstrosity, and I just can't imagine any situation in which it would be appropriate to wear this thing.

it was like pirate meets flamenco meets trini lopez meets doing lots of cocaine meets bridesmaid's dress from the 80s meets...i don't know what. It had ruffles, and a tie under the bosom, and some sort of crazy sleeve, and 2 part construction, and it was see through, but not. A hot mess.

I mean, it was so bad, that PRINCE would've thought it was too loud. Ya know?

and the saleslady tried to sell it to me.

I was wearing black pants, a lt. pink button down, and pearls in my ears. And she thought maybe I wanted to work in some Little Red Corvette action?

The only thing I ever went into Dress Barn Woman for, and bought with ease, was a top for a funeral. It is SOOOO old. It makes Catherine's look like Hot Topic.
