I don't really like Beth Ditto, but I do however like her style. I find a lot of Evans clothes depressing as I like to dress a bit different to the boring things they have in, so this is good news to me.

Beth Ditto is the latest celebrity to launch her own fashion line.

The Gossip frontwoman is in talks to design a range for plus-size brand Evans.

Ditto, who reportedly rejected an offer from Top Shop last year, is on the verge of agreeing a £200,000 deal with the high street chain.

The collection will include dresses in sizes ranging from 14 to 32.

A source told The Mirror."She wants to show the world that big girls can have fun with fashion - and stick two fingers up to the size-zero brigade."

yey i really do hope this happens. when i won evans model of the month (shameless plug

) they asked who my style icon was and i said her!!!!! so yey!

oh yay! this is such great news!!
A lot of my bbw friends complain that there is very little to buy in the style that they like and a lot of the clothes in plus sized stores look like old lady clothes..

Makes me wonder why the US retailers can't embrace her.... she is from here, after all... sheesh.

But I'm glad to see anything happening, so I'll look forward to seeing what comes out.

Exactly. The UK loves her, but around here she's kind of obscure...

People or somebody named her a worst-dressed this week for this outfit at the Glamour Awards in UK. But the coverage in Glamour...very nice.

From Glamour's site: "As each starlet tottered across the stage to collect their award, it became apparent that slippery floor + sky-high stilettos = a recipe for disaster, and Paul O’Grady warned them, “I ain’t catching you!” so Beth Ditto picked the safe option and crawled across the stage on her hands and knees to collect her International Musician award from Sam Sparro. She was then carried off the stage by the chivalrous James Corden, who later presented the Comedy Actress trophy to his Gavin and Stacey co-star Joanna Page. Beth was our undisputed heroine of the night. The approachable Gossip frontwoman happily chatter to all and sundry, including us, Mel B, James Brown and Paul O’Grady in the smokers’ area.
