It's not self-conscious. It's more societally aware. And it's simple to say just say "to hell with what other people think" but it's another to have to be in a situation where there's name-calling or whatever...and I know me...and I know it would ruin my day. (I may walk around pretending that it didn't bother me, but I'd be thinking about it.) So avoiding that scrutiny and just covering up a bit more is worth it for me. It really has nothing to do with how I feel about my body but more with how other people view it. A hard, cold but realistic fact of life. But in a "safe" environment, I'd be in a bikini all day.

Everything I've bought lately isn't fitting properly. The red number fits me wonderfully except that the cups are too small...they're basically just holding my girls around their middle. The bikini I just got (I'm quickly amassing a collection, I've found) has perfectly fitting bottoms, but I could use a bit more top...I'm sort of spilling out of the top of it. Either way, my outfit assessments are your cleavage-viewing gain.
