Anyone have one? My wife is a SSBBW and 5' 1" with 70" hips.
She's thinking about getting one; she misses taking bubble baths. |

If she can still physically get in and out of a bath, then a corner bath would be big enough. If not, yes the walk in is an option. I don't know what it would be like though sitting there naked waiting for it to fill up while you sit there... suppose she could read a magazine!

I've wanted to try one of those walk-in tubs! They look fantastic - but I think they're ridiculously expensive to buy and install.

My mom was going to get one when she redid her bathtub. But infact they were very expensive.

I was looking at that rather narrow door also and being a ssbbw myself it could be a struggle. I do miss bubble baths myself.

Just to second what the others said... you'd probably be better off with something like this:
![]() Cost wise and as a matter of practically you are probably better off with a regular type of large sized bath tub. The basic one of these is a little over $1500 and ranges up to $6700 for fancy jets. These are discontinued but you can get a general idea from these examples... http://www.acessinc.com/reclining-tub.htm The stand up tubs start at $4300 and go up from there. Also, like the others said the amount of water you'd use per bath (and the time to fill the tub) might be an issue. The door even looks tight for an "average" sized person in one of the pictures. http://www.walkinbathtubstore.com/

Ask and ye shall receive -- a walk in bath for large people:
http://www.easywalkinbaths.com/xxlbathtubs.htm 25" wide door. Should be large enough for most to comfortably enter. |

Ill try to take some pics soon but what about a garden tub? I think that's what there called i have one in my bathroom its wide enough for 2 peeps and its great when your sore. Has bars and that anti slip pads. I don't know what i would do without it. you can probably build something for easy in and out of it it is kinda of tall imo.
