How to introduce someone new to the size-accepting culture?

Hello everyone, my name is Derek and although I am relatively new to Dimensions, I have been lurking around for a while, following the forums and learning and laughing much. I must say, it's thrilling to finally get myself out there and contributing to these discussions!

Currently, I have a pressing matter at hand- there is a BBW that I am highly interested in, who is unfortunately oblivious to size acceptance culture, and I have absolutely no idea how to introduce her to it without scaring her!

Any advice would be highly appreciated! Thanks in advance

If it was me I would introduce it to her indirectly. It was a gradual progression for me. If someone had pushed it at me I would have closed down. You could mention seeing a magazine or reading an article or whatever but just be very aware of her needs and level of comfort.

. I had considered showing her Dimensions before, but I thought it might be a bit too big of a step. I think I'll have to combine your and goodthings' ideas though, they're both great.

Girls are good at picking up hints soooo a little hint here or there should be all you need.

I would think if she is OK with herself now you could do well dropping hints.

Yes, in fact, she does. She wouldn't lose weight unless it were for her own aesthetic/comfort/health reasons.

I tried to respond to this once lol....when my FA (who is my bf) introduced me to the idea, he had started by telling me he didn't like the skinny girls in hollywood and how he liked curves and a womans body instead of a kids lol....and when I would comment about my weight he would tell me how pretty I am ....then he would introduce me to pic of girls he thought were pretty (and the pics would show bigger girls as time progressed) which made me feel beautiful....let her know you like her but also you are attracted to her for "all" of her...go slow but introduce her to sites like this as it goes

Dang i wish i read this thread a few weeks ago cuz i was in the same dilemma know i think i might have weirded this girl i like a little. idk o well maybe i still have a chance with some of these suggestions

I really don't know but I want to say it's SO sweet of you to think of introducing her to it. If a guy introduced me to this culture then I would have been MUCH more willing to accept the fact that he was interested in me sincerely.
