To bang or not to bang that is the question

I've been wanting a hair cut for a VERY long time but I'm very afraid of change LOL I went the other day with my sisters and chickened out..I used to have bangs in my younger days and I don't remember how I felt about them..I want a fairly drastic change but I don't know what exactly

Now i'm coming to the experts because I've seen other pictures you've posted, what do YOU think a good hairstyle would be?

I was thinking bangs because I have a big forehead lol but I'd like to hear an opinion? here's a picture of me so you know where I'm coming from

Bangs are always fun,... and i know its hard to change hairstyles for alot of women, but it will grow back and, in your case, you are so damn pretty, that almost any hair style will be complimenting to your face. I say give it a shot, take a deep breathe and go for it!!

Aww well thank you! As for the bangs I think I might try them out..I think I went the side swiped bangs or whatever they are lol as for the cut itself I don't know but a style is needed because my hair is BLAH

Start with just getting long bangs that you can side sweep. Get used to the maintenance. Then if you want to go shorter you can. But if you go too short too fast you are stuck with it if you don't like it.

I've had bangs for a whiiiile, I agree with sasha, because I started with a longer, sweepier (is that a word?) thing, but recently I got them cut short, and blunt and i LOVE it

I don't really know what to say about cutting the rest of your hair though. I've had super short hair on and off since i was about, oh, 8 years old :P

i haven't had my bangs cut since November and the lack of bangs is driving me nuts. I just haven't had a Saturday afternoon to hit the salon to get my bangs cut. I have a very big forehead and think that my bangs help hide that fact.
My favorite kind of bangs are the Betty Paige type.
If you're nervous, try going with longer bangs like the others suggested. Bangs are fun but they are also upkeep hell (meaning some bad bang days can ruin a whole hair. And frequent cuts)

I'm bigger than you but it looks like we have similar coloring/hair texture, so I can show you what bangs with long hair might look like. I've always had bangs but the longer my hair gets the less I'm thinking they work--at least straight-across blunt cut ones.

you would really suit a cut just above the shoulders, so your hair sort of can do it's own thing without sitting on your shoulders. I've just cut mine like that - will try and post a picture- it's SO easy to keep up, i've got a tiny forehead (threehead) so i couldn't pull off bangs, maybe you could work them in

I have a fairly small forehead, too. You can totally do bangs! It's really about the placement and length of them that will shorten or elongate your face. The higher up on your head you start your bangs, the longer your forehead will appear. It's like magic!

I agree, but I'd like to add a man's perspective: GET THE BANGS!
