Default Halloween Costumes

For all of those dressing up for All Hallow's Eve, what are you going to dress up as? I'm thinking of going as one of the Doctors from "Doctor Who".

Okay, it's a Halloween/Birthday party, since her birthday is around Halloween (She'll be 21). I'm really looking forward to it.

If i have time to get a costume together, Max wants me to be a vampire. I have a halter dress from Holyclothing that is black and pretty hot so i figured pair that with some funky hair or a wig and fangs with a cape might make for a good vampy look.

I'm too busy making a "Max" costume for my Max. Where the Wild Things Are is his favorite book. We had no idea that there was going to be a movie when we planned that outfit I just put the tail on and am waiting on him to come home from school to figure out where to put the claws and whether or not to attatch the hood.

That's so cute. You know, I don't think I've ever read the book.

Awww, what a good mom you are! I'd love to see pics of Max (Alex, too) in their costumes, Megan.

ETA: I haven't worn a Halloween costume in years, but I sometimes dress my pups up. I have a little stegosaurus costume, a cowboy costume, and a Holstein costume, which is ironic given how Bubbles hates dem cows.

Indiana Jones... again.

Next year, I'm either going as Han Solo, a Jedi, or wearing a suit like Michael Jackson's in Smooth Criminal.

Danger Mouse! I ordered my costume this week. Rang up the crowd who do it during the week before I booked the costume just to inquire about the size of the suit. It's a medium and is designed to fit a chest size of 38 to 42 inches! I'm 39. Also all their adult costumes are meant to fit an average person who is between 5'7 and 6'0. I'm 6'4, so hopefully there is some "give" in the costume, otherwise its money not well spent I'll post picks next weekend after work!

Can I just say that I ADORE homemade costumes? I mean, its always fun to look at good quality, store-bought costumes and some of the ones Ive seen online are amazing... but my bff bought the LAMEST costume online last week. I was actually kinda mad that he spent money on it!

Attachment 72148

100% craptastic polyester overalls and jacket, a handkerchief and a chinzy plastic bowler hat. He paid OVER $30 for it! And it didn't even fit right, so he had me do some sewing.

I wanted to hit him! I have the cap and the handkerchief and he could have bought a pair of overalls and a jacket at a thrift store for a 1/4 of the cost!

And to top it off, he bought a ridiculously fake looking, $10 plastic shovel to carry around. Hello sweetie! Have you ever been in my house? My dad collects old farm equipment!

argh!

ok rant over.

My friend Meredith and I are going as matching school girls. I didn't buy the costume as a whole. I bought the red plaid mini-skirt at Torrid, a white tank top at Lane Bryant, and a skinny black tie at Hot Topic. I still have to buy some knee socks. I'll be sure to post pictures after Halloween.

I'm going as Shaun from Shaun of the Dead. Got my pants, shirt and tie today at Goodwill. My woodworker buddy made a cricket bat for me last weekend - it looks awesome. Now all I need is some fake blood to smear on the shirt and I'm golden!

Perhaps I'll post some pics next week after the party.

That's actually a pretty funny idea. However, the same thing two years in a row? Hmmm...

Maybe next year you should branch out and be Optimus Prime in robot form. Now that would be cool!
