My first rant in months

There was an article on the BBC website, something about child o****** leveling off, or the statistics they has made were being downgraded because of lesser results of late.

This is actually probably good news, but the entire article continues its libelous propaganda of "we're not out of the woods yet exterminating those Jews, I mean stopping teh ebil fatties!"

I won't link to such filth. However, here is my response, which I offer here because I don't think they'll approve it for the comments page.

There used to be such a thing as freedom of expression. Now even that is being taken away, just as thin children are being taken away from fat mothers simply because they MIGHT grow up to become fat.

It is about time people heard the other side of the story. There are people who are not only fat, but DEMAND the right to remain so, and claim reasonable good health! And these people demand the right to not be called stupid or uneducated simply because they disagree with some inaccurate results.

Again I, irate, iterate. Let the fatphobic propaganda stop. Let statistics not be held as gospel, for it is a false god that destroys individualism.

It used to be that people could be whatever they were, and that those who were against it were still vaguely tolerant and polite, except in matters of politics, religion or race.

Furthermore, fatness can be considered a lifestyle, by both sides (pro- and con-). To try to get people to change this (or any) lifestyle is the suppression of their freedom of expressing themselves in their style.

Nazi is not an acceptable term/comparison to describe people that you disagree with, even if they're being mean and unfair.

Well at least I'm having fun ranting about this topic.

Saying something tongue in cheek as a sly dig about comparatives on one form of bigotry against another is not the same thing as outright calling someone a Nazi. And neither is the same thing as disrespecting boundaries.

Moreover, why should I respect the boundaries of those who trod all over mine with their propaganda?

You're not respecting my boundaries. And if you can't even do that it seems dubious to ask the same thing from others.

Generally speaking anti-fat sentiment regarding childhood obesity isn't propaganda. It's a legitimate concern for public health that usually has a lot of bias. Demonizing the "other" is not an effective course of action in this instance. Positing a different viewpoint and treating others with respect will go much further.
