Favorite Day of the Week

I sometimes think it's Friday because my kids are away and I can do whatever I want. Plus, it's pay day every other week.

Other times, I think it's Saturday- if I don't have to work, because I can sleep late and make my girls their favorite breakfasts when they get home

What is your favorite day of the week and why?

It's sort of a slide between Thursday night (anticipation) into Sunday morning. I'm not a fan of Sundays because of too many church horror stories (how many hours can even an amply gifted ass sit on a pew in a worship service?) but Spouse as currently ambivalent as I am about him, makes me breakfast in bed so Sundays aren't a total loss. (And neither is he for that matter)(And I'm not saying that out of guilt.)(Okay maybe I am. A little.)

My favorite day of the week is any day that I get to sleep late. Or one when I make soup. Or maybe one when I discover a leftover bag of Nestle Crunch eggs in the freezer (today).

I have a wacky work schedule, so I really don't have any kind of consistent favorite day of the week. If it was fall, though, then it would be Sunday, because that's football day.

Friday @ exactly 1:00 PM, post a juicy-Lucy and a pile of tater-tots, or batter fried pickles for lunch.

The rest of the day is a cinch (or I can scramble to compensate Monday) @ all I have to worry about is...

...being a complete dickhead COMPANY SHIRT for a couple-few hours, and then go off to some metro bar and slagging my coworkers in direct proportion to the amount of unspoken derision I have sublimated over the week.

+ the batter fried mushrooms are spicy and excellent.

Sunday, 5:30am. I finish work exactly then, and get to go home and SLEEP without an alarm clock. When I knock off, I sit at the bar and talk to my colleague, have a couple of drinks and wind down with a game of pool. Oh the life of a nightowl.

It's the only day of the week I can do this because of work and uni full-time.

Thursdays are my favorite. Max is in school then daycare. (he goes twice a week because his hyperness can overwhelm me) So i have a lot of "me" time that day. Well not as much as i'd like since Alex is sleeping a lot less these days. It's still a nice relaxing day. I tend to do some housework so the place is clean for the weekend. It's also payday. And during the spring and summer months, the whole downtown shuts down for a farmers/craft market that is always a fun community event. So we get to wind the day up with a fun family/community activity. And usually we get AWESOME local cherries. (my favorite fruit)
